forgot to add dont use newspapers in the house to train finnley as they will get used to going on the newspaper and dont say anything when they go in the house just clean it up as if nothing has happened but always make a fuss when they go outside.good luck x

hi rosie has been fantastic at training we buy treats called coachies they are small treats just right for a puppy from the day we got her we took her outside to go and when she did we praised her and gave her a treat she only ever had 2 accidents in the house which if they do you ignore it!always praise and give a treat for good behaviour but ignore the bad behaviour they soon learn they get treats for being good but none for being naughty, rosie sits nice and gives a paw when she comes back inside before she gets a treat start by pointing to their paw and lift it gently and say paw so they know the word paw when they eventually give you a paw praise them and give them a treat, the word no is a harder word for them to learn(lol)but if you say it sternly they eventually know what it means dont get me wrong rosie is so full of beans but very intelligent another good game to play is letting them smell the treat then hiding it for them to find let them see you hide it at first,a great toy to buy is the puppy kong as you get puppy filler as well to fill it with i usually put some treats in it as well keeps them amused for a little while also if you have a tugger soak it in water then freeze it overnight great for there little gums and teeth i have rosie on burns complete food as the pedigree and butchers was making her so hyper the burns food has really calmed her down also if taking them to the vet take a treat with you so the vet can give them it makes it a lot better for them going to the vet hope this is of some help to you feel free to ask for any help.regards

Hi Finnley. Thanks for your message. We would love to go walkies with you, but, unfortunately we live up here in the rainy North East! You'll just have to put up with us visiting your kennel everyday, and wanting updates on the house training! Hope you found the advice helpful, and if you need any more, just go onto the forums and feel free to ask. We are all here to help each other x
