Good morning. Another week gone and very little progress here. The wainscoting has not gone up, so the kitchen walls are still two colors. Mom has been spending her spare time trying to figure out how to web chat. It's really not that hard, and yet she couldn't figure it out at first. She's pretty sure she has it knocked now though. It has been gorgeous here, and we have been walking a little farther every day. Mom says we have to do it before it gets really warm, cuz we both wilt in the heat. On the not so exciting side....the gnats and mosquitos are already out too. Yuck! Mom has made us orange danish with orange icing. She loves the orange. Be good. Love, Dexter

Hello friend. Well here it is, another week gone.We were hoping for a hint of Spring, but instead we got more snow!..Miss Kitty wanted to go out in it, but she is in something called 'heat'. Imagine that. Right in the middle of Winter. Mom says she is obviously older than we first thought,and we better stop procrastinating and get her 'fixed'. I didn't even know she was broken, and she doesn't seem that warm to me either. It is all very confusing. Well mom has a new bug in her ear. She has decided that the kitchen needs a face-lift, and the living room should be painted. She was looking right at me when she said it too. I wonder if that means I am expected to pitch in? I sure hope not, I am absolute rubbish at decorating. Well treat today is pecan turtle trail ice cream. Yes, it is just as good as it sounds. I can't believe she is letting us have it. Love, Dexter

Hi Paddy, You are so lucky living by the beach, I love the beach. I like to run into the sea, and then escape the waves, and of course I like to dig! We have lots of woods near us with lots of mud and you can get into just as much of a mess with that as you can with sand. Woofs and wags Buddy

Hello Paddy's mum - I'm not sure if I clicked on "submit message" when I posted this so I am sending it to you again - please forgive me if it is a duplicate - just delete it!! Hello everybody – Jackson and Kia’s mum here. Thanks for all the good wishes and New Year Greetings which are sincerely returned. Sorry we haven’t been communicating recently but I acquired a nasty cough on Christmas Eve and am still feeling unwell since it has turned into a rotten cold! Even my guests went home with an “unwanted Christmas present” and now hubby’s got it as well. Poor Jackson and Kia have even missed out on a couple of walks. They usually get two a day but have had to make do with only one for a couple of days now. Milly and Jack are still getting their feeds on time but I haven’t been able to get Milly out for a ride since before Christmas – fortunately a friend has taken her out a couple of times so she has at least had a bit of exercise. No snow in this part of the country yet but its wet and miserable and we are spending time in front of the fire. Jackson and Kia had a lovely time over Christmas and Kia especially liked her present which was a soft toy puppy which barked when she squeezed it! She doesn’t play with toys usually but she loved this and delighted in throwing it around the room. Unfortunately it doesn’t “bark” anymore as she has managed to mangle it up. Jackson had a black and yellow Kong dumbbell which has had to be stitched up several times as it is a nylon material! I should have know better than get him something so easily ripped as he likes to pull things apart too! They enjoyed all the turkey which was stripped off the bones and had some lovely chewy treats from nanna and uncle and auntie. Sending all our best wishes for 2008 to all our doggy friends and humans albeit a little late. xxxx
