Hi all Pippa Michaela and Scoop here. Wow what cold and wet weather we had from Sunday evening through to Monday afternoon! The weather cleared up last evening and got bitterly cold last night & early this morning. Mum said the temp was zero degrees cel, but it’s all nice and sunny now and we went for a lovely run in the glorious sun-shine, we were quite hot when we got home but Mum was sure not to have a swim in the bitterly cold pool afterwards heheheheee. Mum is making new bedding for our beds as the bedding we have is not adequate for the winter, but little does she know that as soon as she and Dad leave on Friday a virtual helicopter is taking us to the airport where we will be getting onto a direct flight to Bermuda to attend Fluffy and Sam’s wedding. Afterwards we will spend a week there in the sun and sea and sneak back home just before they return on Sunday. Hehehehee and to think they’re under the impression that her friend Glenda and her son Matthew will be taking care of us whilst they’re away. Our other house sitter Desiree can’t make it this time. Treats is a nice big mug of hot chocolate. Loves and licks xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello to all my sympathetic friends on DS., I thought I'd try to write and tell you all how I feel with all these kind thoughts, poems, prayers and messages arriving. When I realise it is only a week ago today Floss did the Houdini trick and went off with Tallulah on the hunting trip in the disused quarry behind our house, it seems incredible she is now dead. We are no wiser as to what the infection was, but it must have been very severe as she was given steroids and the highest dose of antibiotics possible. She went downhill so fast we could see her dying before our eyes: we were incapable to do anything more other than keep her warm and keep her company. It was not a hard decicision to put her down, she would have been dead, I'm sure, within 24 hours. Mark, my vet. came to the house and told me we could put her on a drip but he thought it would only prolong the inevitable, I thought she had been quite distressed and I said 'Enough is enough'. I held her paw and she just drifted off, it was a matter of seconds. She is buried [digger ruined ANOTHER bit of the front lawn!] in the field at the side of the house alongside Bernard the Staghound? but that's another long story for another day. I read on DS statistics that someone has 43 dogs in their kennel, I started counting and realised that our running total including the dear departed is.......... 28! One day I will start scanning photographs and post all our other friends, until then I'll stop at 9. One other thought though......... our maximum no of dogs is 10.. that's the theory anyway....... for all you mathematicians that means we have 2 vacancies !!!!! I don't go looking for dogs they just turn up at our gate, are found wandering the streets, or the Dog Warden 'phones me......................... Happy Easter!!!! our dear friends..its all nice and sunny now since late Monday afternoon...now we are experiencing our 'normal' autumn weather with cool mornings and lovely warm sunny days for us doggies to lie in and enjoy. It's just a quicky visit today Mum is so busy--preps for wedding. Thanks for my (Michaela) birthday wishes...I will have to have my party when Pippa has her birthday next month. Gee we all have our birthdays in sucession, Mum in Dec, Dan in Jan, Scoop in Feb, Michaela in Mar and Pippa in April!!!
