My name is Milly & I'm completely dog mad. I own a small pet shop in the local town so my dogs feel lucky to have an endless supply of treats & toys. Feel free to leave us a message & make friends :)
On holiday until 27th July. Will return any messages / treats / visits when I get back :o) Have a good weekend everybody!

Hello Milly, Hope the holiday is going well and you are not being drowned twice a day! The weather here is dismal, Malcolm is up in DG where he has the fire alight watching the golf on tv. with 6 dogs! Here's the latest......................... Tuesday 15th. July. Well, here we are again, Home from the travels again; this time it was the wedding of Malcolm’s nephew, Nicholas. This was a wonderful wedding in an ancient country house in the Essex countryside complete with lake! The bride looked like a fairy princess, the bride’s maids wore greeny turquoise dresses and the flower girls were in white organdy with green sashes. They all looked beautiful. It was a bit like the ‘League of Nations’, there were so many nationalities there; what was especially good was that there was no ‘them and us’ that one so often finds at weddings, everyone chatted to everyone else and a good time was had by all - a very special day, one to remember always. While we were away ‘The Jackies’ fed the dogs, Joni fussed over the cats and dogs; we were delighted to come home to no catastrophes! That changed this morning, we are home less than 24 hours and I’ve already been to the vet.’s!! Molly is in season, encaserated in the back yard, Bert and Alfred decided to fight for the right to non-available access! I roared from the kitchen and they both limped away. Upon inspection they both have bite marks on their forelegs, nothing serious but whoever heard of biting LEGS? Necks, shoulders, ears, face and eyes, yes, but legs?! Malcolm then took the pups, Annie, Bert Tig and Lulu out in the field with him while he was pulling ragweed [ragwort or Benweed], the dogs were tearing around out there as only Lurchers and Whippets do when Annie ran at full speed [awesome] into a wire fence. The ensuing noise was frightening, Malcolm scooped her up and brought her into the cool and quiet of the dining room where I examined her. She has a burn on the inside of one front leg and quite a deep cut, looks like a puncture on the outside of the other front leg. Malcolm thought at least she had a fracture of a foreleg. 2 hours later at vet. She had 1 staple in the cut, onto the anti-biotic and Metacam AGAIN!! She is currently sleeping in a basket next to me. The wire has been there for a least 30 years, fortunately it is not barbed wire. It is now being removed. Ruairi is going in to be castrated on Thursday, only one testicle has dropped and I’m advised that this is a known cause of testicular cancer; so now he is going to be ‘poor little Ruairi no balls’! Caiomhe has a lump [not a fatty one] and so we are investigating that too............... I have worm doses for the cats............ Jackie [female] has Labradors and one Lurcher. Tina has been unwell and appeared to have a Phantom pregnancy but upon further investigation it turned out to be a womb infection. Poor Jackie, she was ‘between a rock and a hard place’, Tina has a heart murmur and there was a big question mark about the anaesthetic, her condition had deteriorated quite quickly. Thursday she had a blood transfusion and then had ovaries [one with cyst/tumour] and womb removed. After more blood she is recovering slowly, never was there such a well-nursed dog [except Gissy?] Good weather today, dogs lying about all over the place. Better go and do some gardening, after I’ve bid on ebay for some fabric to re-cover the dog’s sofa cushions........... the kitchen looked like a snowstorm......!!! Love to you all and your dogs, special thoughts to the bereaved ‘parents’ from Lynda a.k.a. Molly-the-Lurcher lover

Thank you for leaving Huey a dog treat. He does love to eat, and for every treat he's left in cyberspace I give him a big juicy bone in reality. He has been very happy so far! I am still working out how to use this and would love to leave you a treat as well - will attempt it!

Thanks for the Winalots, sorry you`re feeling pooped after your two walks but I bet you enjoyed yourself. We are finding it a little to warm in the middle of the day but the light nights mean we get out for a leaded walk in the morning and out for a good run off lead in the late evening.Playbows and tailwags from Erin & Ollie

How did you know that Winalot shapes are my favourite and I have two every morning along with a Pedigree Joint Care stick for my breakfast. I have to have the maximum size stick because I think I am a lot bigger dog than I am. They certainly do help my bones and of course they taste great. Not been doing too much today as it has been too warm. It's now raining quite heavily and they say there is going to be thunderstorms. Luckily I am a little deaf now so storms don't bother me as much as they used to. Well feeling a bit tired now and think I will go and have another snooze. Left you all a bit bowl of lamb curry (my favourite along with chicken curry) and hope you like it. Love Willow XXX
