My other half had never owned a dog before or any of his relatives. He knew I longed for one and we were able to get one once I went part time in work. We ended up visiting our local Battersea dogs home (Windsor) regularly and got our lovely boy Alfie. My partner is a bit of a clean freak but the love of a dog has helped him compromise - he just vacuums every day! ......and he is the proudest dad in the park. You can be a volunteer dog walker at rescue homes maybe you could start your husbands conversion there!
