Hi Molly, how are you? This is our first DS visit for a while because I’ve simply got fed up with my continuing difficulty in getting into my kennel. Everything is fine here, Her Princessliness remains just that and dobes is asleep. Today’s treat is practical and necessary, a bottle of eau de dogogne.....VERY necessary in our case as our sensational news is that Purdey is no longer THE POOMONSTER, she is now THE STINKMONSTER. She has stopped rolling in recycled animal dinners (no doubt aware that a BATH will result) and has now taken up rolling in places where there are just strong smells (and, yes, I know what that could be!). You can imagine the scenario.......she comes running out of the fields and she is not covered in poo.......PHEW .......which rapidly changes to COR, WHAT IS THAT EFFING STINK as she gets closer. More baths await, methinks. I daren’t change her name on here however as, if I do, it will probably take me even longer to get into my kennel! Have a good day x

Hi Molly, well that was a fun couple of days, weatherwise. If you like paddling, swimming, snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, fishing, jet and water-skiing and sailing then my back garden was the place to be this weekend, we had so much rain. It is also the first time I have actually considered wearing my fishing chest waders for dog walking - what a picture that would have been, fortunately for all concerned the thought of being seen dissuaded me! Anyway, at the moment, it is not raining so the girls and dobes are dropping off a spare photograph of the sun (no, not the newspaper, that big yellow thing that is meant to be in the sky round here), some broken biscuit cake (because I made one yesterday) and my fishing chest waders (because the dogs, like me, don't want to be seen out with me if I am wearing them!!!). Have fun x

Hi Molly, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x

Hi Molly, how are you? I hoped that spring had sprung, if it has I think it has now sprung back into its box because it has been icy cold here. And talking of spring, Sarika did a somersault/back flip yesterday, I shall call it a "Purdey" which is also a bit of a clue as to the outcome. She was chasing a tennis ball which bounced over her head, in her excitement she leapt in the air and did a back flip after the ball .........and landed straight in something disgusting. I think that it had previously "belonged" to a deer or a badger! Sarika was mortified, she is after all a LADY and so was I, because, somehow or other, I ended up with some of it on me. I am simply not articulate enough to describe the awfulness of the stench, not without using a fair number of swearwords anyway. Ugh..Ugh..and treble Ugh!!! Thank goodness for tomato puree (Sarika) and anti bacterial handwash (me)and the washing machine (my clothes). And Purdey clearly smiled when she saw what had happened to both Her Majesty and me (her slave), she was also quite clearly trying to work out how to get some of the pong by rolling on Sarika and/or me. Today's treat therefore is an absolute essential now, a non-bouncing tennis ball. And I am off to check my hands again. Have fun x
