Evening, it is hot today. Mummy has been keeping the house cool for us while she has been at work. Not much really to report. Apparently on Friday we are having yet another bath! Tonight we had a short walk to the field as Mummy had some eggs from the chickens that she isn’t going to eat before they go off. She took them with us and some jam and marmite sandwiches. I thought we were going to have a picnic, it was a little late for a picnic as it was nearly dark but I wont say no to food. It wasn’t for us! She told me to lie down on the pathway and then walked into the bushes a bit and placed the food down on the ground and then walked away from it. She did this two or three times in the field and we didn’t get any. When we walked back she told us to be really quiet. We were and guess who we saw munching on the eggs and sandwiches?! It was Mr Fox!!!! He soon spotted us and dared off into the woods. Well we are leaving you a marmite and Jam sarnie that we stole before the fox got there. Binxie and Megan xxxxxxxx
Good Afternoon. Once again I am so sorry for not visiting. I have pawed Mummy’s wrists and bitten her ankles and she is going to try and let me visit more often. So how are you? I am fine thank you. So what news do I have from the world of Meg ……. Hmm well Binxie has committed a murder! Mummy managed to get photographic evidence of him looking guilty. He killed my baby sheep! He de-stuffed it and de-squeaked it. Murderer! Murderer MURDERER! Well Grandma and Grandpa have gone on their holidays, I tried to snuggle into their bags but Grandma saw me and hoiked me out before she did the zip up! Its just me and Mummy for three whole weeks…woohoo ohh yeah and the MURDERER! Ohh I best go as I can see Petina has jumped that fence again and is wondering round my garden, I wonder how many feathers I can pluck out of her this time. I got 4 last time but Grandpa sent me in before I could get any more, he isn’t here now! Speak to you soon. Meg-a-da-weg xxxxx
Good Morning, or afternoon, it will be the afternoon by the time we have finished. We have just managed to pin Mummy down for a few minutes or more to do a quick treat round. So how are you? Again we are so so so so sorry for not visiting and Mummy does feel awful about it. So what’s new? Well, hmmm not a lot really but you would think there would be as we haven’t been to visit in such a long time. Oh yeah we have a starling living in our garden, We have named it “Wingston” as he has a broken wing but the chickens have adopted him and share their food with him. He gets around the garden alright and manages to climb up on top of the shed to keep an eye on his new little kingdom! He has learnt not to venture past the chicken fence as I (meg), will do my best to catch him. We also have a little squirrel that visits our garden, she has been coming for some time and we always watch her from the window doing her early morning workout on the bird table. One morning though tragedy struck and during a daring stunt by the little lady, hanging upside down on the seed tube she slipped and fell. She landed in the Rosemary bush but when she emerged out of it she had broken one of her front legs. Mummy feels very guilty so she has now been named “Three-Peg” Mummy has put a feeder on the fence so she can still get to her food and she is keeping a watchful eye on the little lady to make sure she is still strong. She has learnt to adapt quite well with just the use of one front leg. Well Mummy says we must go as she really must go out for some things before the day is over! We hope to be back to visit soon. Lots of licks and wags, Binx and Meg xxxxx
Hello Misty, I have been to my hydrotheraphy today for my arthritics, the lady who looks after me, ordered some S.T.P (Stop The Pain), it comes from America & is specially formulated for horses but they have developed a supplement for dogs, so we hope to give it a try & it works. Yesterday, my Mum & Dad started to making our 'scarecrows' for the village festival, this year the theme is movie magic. Most of the entrants do figures, we always enter 'animal scarecrows' & this year will be no different, if our ideas work, we will post them on my kennel in a month's time, We are assembling 5 animal characters & one human figure. The Sunday roast is today's treat. Love, Dylan xx xx
Well it's a beautiful sunny day and mum's just mowed the back lawn. So, I've done my trick of rolling around in the freshly mown grass and I am now green. The dreaded word has been spoken and guess what I'm having this afternoon? Yes a SHOWER!! Arrrgh. I've hidden the shampoo. Sending you some treats. Love Kim.xxxx
Hi Misty Moo, it is my birthday today & guess what, I am at the vets along with Whisky, one of our cats, I have left you a slice of my cake & given Mum my messages to send to my friends, as I will be on the vet's table along with Whisky, paws crossed we both have nice dreams. I know my Mum is anxious, with the phone besides her, but hopefully they will sort out my limp & Whisky's bad tooth, as we are both a bit uncomfortable. She is taking this opportunity to wash all my water bowls in the dishwasher & wash our bedding, just hope she doesn't forget to cook the chicken for our homecoming. Enjoy your cake, & when I am better, it will be a good excuse to have another party. Love, Dylan, Whisky & the other cats x
Hiya. Well it's been roasting today and I've been helping in the garden digging holes. Well I weren't to know they were in the wrong place! Mind you mum says I've ruined the lawn anyway so it didn't matter (hee hee). Still it's so hot I'm sending over ice creams to cool down. Love KIm.xx
Hiya. I had a LOVELY time on my holidays. There were lots of different walks and smells and I met a few fluffy things that mum said were sheep. I wanted to chase them but wasn't allowed! I almost fell in the Llangollen canal twice trying to get to the ducks and it was so funny 'cos gran nearly went in with me! I was sooooo tired by Thursday night that I just crashed out on the sofa in the cottage and couldn't move (mum put a photo of me in my kennel - I didn't even know she'd taken the picture). It's taken me a few days to get over being so tired but now I'm back to my cheeky best. Sending you some fudge and rock that we brought back. Lots of love Kim. xxxx
Hi there Misty, hope you are well, our silly mummy has gone and caught a cold but luckily daddy has had this week off work, mummy better get well soon or she won't feel like walking us and that would be just horrible. They have ordered a paddling pool for us though and wish it would hurry up and come so we can get in it. Leaving you some chicken soup today xxx PS if you want to vote for Bally please remember voting ends on sunday at 5PM 25th May, thank you.
Hi there how are you? today the weather is not so good, no sunbathing today but me and the dogs have been able to go in the garden most days, I even managed to get Bally off the sunbed so I could use it, she does love the sun but also water just as much, Jack though prefers to lay in the shade. Hope the weather gets better for the weekend. Please don't forget to vote for Bally as Junes Laydee of the Month as it would mean so much to her, we have only had her since the end of January and love her sooo much. Treat today is tuna and pasta bake xxx
Hi MM, this is a quick visit before we go walkies as the weather is changing, blast. Just when I was getting used to dry and clean (the dogs) and a suntan (mine). So it is away with the suntan lotion (mine) and out again with the wellies (mine) and the towels and wash basin (dogs). Typical. To cheer myself up I made another vodka and orange trifle (hic!) because it went (hic) down very well (hic) before and the girls and dobes are dropping off some of that as well as a tennis ball (from Sarika), an empty bird's egg (from Purdey) and some zzzzzzs (from Max). Have fun x
Hi there mate, how are you? hope you are well. The weather here has been hot for days and the people are complaining that it's too hot now, too hot too cold too wet or windy it's never right is it! Now for the news Bally has been nominated for Junes Laydee of the Month and she is very excited and it would be great if she won then we would have a Hunk and a Laydee in the house. Treat today is a jacked potato with lots of butter topped with cheese and pickle xxx
Hey, I thought I would come and do the rounds for the kids as they are still on holiday with my parents. How are you? Have you enjoyed your bank holiday weekend? Well we went to the seaside again camping. Poor Meg is getting old and cant quite keep up with us so I managed to find a nice bag which she happily sat in and then refused to get out of. Binx is still going strong and learnt that on our early morning and late evening walks while camping were for him to go to the toilet. We would be in the middle of a field and he would be happily sniffing and then do his stuff. Before we could even get the bag out he had dashed over to the entrance of the field and stood waiting to go back to the van! Leaving you some cheese sarnies and tomato soup. Zoë, Binx and Meg’s Mummy.
Well today my tail seems to be straightening out a bit so paws crossed, I don't have to visit the vets next week! It's been a lovely day here today. Mum strimmed and mowed the lawn and I had a great time rolling around in the fresh cut grass. I am now GREEN but mum won't shower me again (phew) as she doesn't want me to hurt my tail. Have a lovely weekend..... Kim.xxxx
Hiya sorry we have not been here for a while, I have had so much uni work to do and my youngest son has not been sleeping well... so neither have I. Its Bonnies birthday on Sunday - I can not believe we have had her for a year! It has gone so quick. She will be 6. We have bought her a few new toys and my Mom is getting something special from the butchers ;o) and we will take her out somewhere nice, I hope the weather is ok! Hope you are all well. Kaz, Bonnie and the boys xxxx
Well it's the start of a new month and it is actually sunny at the moment, lets hope it stays that way, the dogs don't mind walking in the rain but i'm not keen on it. Bally still wanders off a long way on our walks when allowed off the lead and she loves water and seems to be able to smell it a mile off and then she has to go to it whatever you do or say, she doesn't listen if she wants to get at something, she acts just like a 5 year old big puppy (but we love her). Todays treat is liver and onions with mashed potato and a glass of wine xxx
Hiya. Sorry I've not been around much - mum has had her nose stuck in books (boring). BAD NEWS!! I've heard a terrible whisper going around that next Wednesday I'm going for a FURCUT!! Aaargh I hate that! Gran says I have to look nice for my holidays - what I don't already????? So, I've tried to sneak all the clippers and scissors from everywhere in my home town and I'm sending them to you to hide.......Love Kim.xx
Hi there how are you? seem to have had a busy week but if you ask what doing I wouldn't know what to say, I expect we all get times like that! Jack says thanks for all the birthday comments and goodies he enjoyed them very much, but I did have to keep an eye on him to make sure he shared them and to make sure he didn't eat too much at once, he is a bit of a pig really. Todays treat is peanut butter sandwiches and ginger beer xxx
Hey, How are you? Im sorry Ive not been to visit but Mummy has been too busy to let me visit my friends. She has let me on for an hour to visit everyone and then she says she must get on. What have you been up to? We have been on holiday by the seaside and Mummy let me have a run off lead each day on the beach. I loved it, being free with the wind rushing through my hair. Leaving you some sushi. Meg xxx
Hi MM..."here we are again, happy as can be".......AND this time we really are. Claws and paws have healed and tummy upsets seem to have dried up so the doggies are fit and well, (Max is still doing his Rip Van Winkle impression but I think that has something to do with his age ZZZZZ!). However I HAVE decided to keep my nurses uniform on, just in case (TEE HEE). Had a wonderful walk with the girlies yesterday in a nearby forest (Bramshill, home of the police college), weather was fabulous although very windy (my fault for having baked beans on the baked potato), tracks were great, lakes were full and numerous things were chaseable (I got quite out of breath at one stage!) - it was such fun that none of us wanted to come home. I REALLY LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. Anyway enough of that, today we are sending you a full English breakfast (because I fancy one), another bottle of New Zealand sauvignon (the last one went down very well!) and, of course, our very best wishes to you and yours. Have fun x
