You truly were an angel sent from God in heaven above. Your shocking death just broke the hearts of everyone you loved. When I found out that you had died I thought that they were wrong. You were so alive - and then just like that, you were gone. A flame blown out in seconds, Confirming our worst fears - A light that shines no more on earth for which we shed many tears. But still you are my beacon And I need you right now. You hear all the prayers I say Because they are answered somehow. I wish that you could be here, But in a way you are. so I know you can't be far.

Old dog in a locket That lies next to my heart. I will always love you As I did right from the start. You were right beside me Through the darkest of my days. We have had so many happy years, you wouldn't want me to suffer so. When the time comes, please, let me go. Take me to where my needs they'll tend, only, stay with me till the end. And hold me firm and speak to me, until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will agree, it is a kindness you do to me. Although my tail its last has waved, from pain and suffering I have been saved. Don't grieve that it must be you, who has to decide this thing to do. I feel his presence near, He's always here to listen, And guide me through my fears. He's a very special angel, One God chose just for me, He was once my Dog here on earth, But that wasn't long to be. God called him home one night, My fear and rage did see , If He were a loving God, Why take my Dog from me. But in time I saw the plan, He unveiled for me to see, He had taken my Dog away, But He gave him back to me. There was only one thing different, About this wondrous thing, He just traded his faded collar and lead, For a halo and snow white wings.
