Dear best friend, You'll never guess how beautiful, Oh Rainbow Ridge is near. Just through this field of flowers, the air so fresh and clear. I hear the sound of many dogs and it make me run so fast. I know I won't be the first one there and I surly won't be last. I looked back and saw you, I hope you'll be ok. You looked so sad without me but really I want to stay. I feel just like a puppy with wings upon my feet. I am headed to doggy heaven and these wings won't miss a beat. I will stay at rainbow Ridge till all your days are thru Playing with my friends but still thinking about you. So sorry to hear of your loss of Rory, he looked and sounded such a lovely dog. They always leave a hole in your heart when they leave you for the last time. Rory will be in doggy heaven, having fun with all the other dogs - if he sees my Dayna, Honey and Sammy he should say hello - not to mention my cousin's dogs Judy and Lassie! A tribute has been sent.

They will not go quietly, the dogs who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still make us think we hear a barking at the door. Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And, sometime, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them... and always will.
