Hi Billy-B, These secretaries are rubbish, aren't they? Not half as good as us dogs! Ours has been on strike (allegedly working, or doing interesting things with us) since Thursday, we've now pinned her down to the sofa and plugged her into the laptop. We put a Dr. Who film on to keep her happy, and Alfie has been v. brave, and growled at a dalek! Bit of a long one today as we haven't been on for a while. Dylan had a pretty good report from the vets yesterday. Heart murmur is no worse, and the vet wasn't too worried about the odd cough, ear infection has cleared up completely, but the eye infection is still a problem, vet has ordered some special medication which Mum has to collect during the week. Also, vet discovered that Dill's knees keep going out of joint, apparently there's 2 varieties of this problem, with the one the vet has to get the joint back in, but in D's case it pops back in of it's own accord, this apparently is why he sometimes hops when he's out and about! He'd put on a kilo(!) in weight, in spite of losing his big coat since the vet last saw him, but he's now in danger of putting on too much weight, so Mum's got to keep a close eye on his diet. This is a bit of a problem, as Alfie (who's a runner-bean of a dog) tends to graze, and obviously we can't leave the food down, if D is going to clear both bowls. Hmmm! Vet generally though was v. pleased, Alfie came along for the ride, and enjoyed himself having a barking competition with a dachshund in reception, D, Mum and receptionist all inserted their ear protectors. Dogs were v. brave this morning, a piece of rogue toast flung itself out of the toaster, soared over Mum's head, and landed at the dogs' paws. They apprehended and exterminated it rapidly before it could endanger any more humans. Meanwhile the loofah is still taking itself for walks around the bathroom....Mum thinks you may be right about the dogltergeist, and is thinking of calling in Ghostbusters (or Scooby Doo!) Hi Billy, Mum is thinking of installing dog-cam as there have been mysterious goings-on while she's out at work. She arrived home yesterday to find paw-prints (Alfie's) in the bath, while the loofah (unchewed) had been moved from one end of the bath to the other. V. peculiar! We'll probably not be on tomorrow as Mum's got to work late and hasn't sorted out our secretarial help (sigh). Dylan's off to the vets on Saturday for his first check-up since the start of the year. Keep your paws crossed for the little guy. Leaving you some pepperoni pizza, Alfie and Dylan xxx

Hi Billy, Mum said that us two boys were very sweet last night. Dylan is still finding commands very hard to follow – most of the time “sit” remains a complete mystery to him, in spite of a range of training methods, and then last night … we think we had a bit of a breakthrough. Mum was trying to get Dylan to sit before his dinner, no luck, he looked at her trustingly and very confusedly, then she had a brainwave – whistled up Alfie, and told him to sit, which he did beautifully, then turned to Dylan and repeated the command – and he copied Alfie! Mum was thrilled and made a huge fuss of both. Alfie says that he was never told on his job description that he was expected to be a dog trainer too (although he’s very good at it). Hi Billy, Gosh, it's wet and windy here - we waited for a break in the rain and went for a walk, but it wasn't as long as we were hoping. Mum could barely breathe - the wind was so strong, Alfie was loopier than ever trying to chase his frisbee which was going all over the place - and Dylan generally stayed in Mum's slipstream otherwise he would have taken off! Alfie reckoned if we'd tied a balloon on him he'd probably have ended up in Moscow! The river that runs opposite our house, and where we usually take our walks was really high. The sluices must have been opened further up, it was a good foot higher than this time yesterday. A nearby town has had a severe flood warning, so it's a bit worrying, although I think we'll all be ok. At least the rain has stopped for now....Leaving you some raspberry yogurt, Alfie and Dylan xxx

Hi Billy Bond 006&7/8ths I hope there aren't any lions as I won't be able to deal with them but I have every confidence that you will being a secret agent, do you accept this mission?????? tonight Meesha's PA is sending the messages, as she is too busy snoring at the other end of the couch!! Obviously the winter weather is just too much for the 4 paw drive girl!!!
