Hi there my friend, first of all we would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for Bally as June's Laydee of the Month, as you know she won and is so happy. Also the paddling pool has arrived so please look at the new photos, there is one in Bally's kennel and one in Jack's, unfortunaly it wasn't a huge success which was surprising as they both love the sea, ponds and lakes and Bally just loves laying in those muddy muddles, but all they did was stand in it (maybe the water was to clean for them) never mind. Todays treat is chicken and chips xxx

Hi there Chaz, hope you are well, our silly mummy has gone and caught a cold but luckily daddy has had this week off work, mummy better get well soon or she won't feel like walking us and that would be just horrible. They have ordered a paddling pool for us though and wish it would hurry up and come so we can get in it. Leaving you some chicken soup today xxx PS if you want to vote for Bally please remember voting ends on sunday at 5PM 25th May, thank you.

Hi Chaz, in haste today because we are about to have a walk along the Thames to Sonning. The walk will no doubt feature some gundogs swimming and hopefully will also help me to improve my tan. As a very special treat the girls and dobes are sending over a dish of that most prized delicacy, apparently, the canine equivalent of caviar.....that's right.....RABBIT POO. I cannot believe how much of it the girls eat - the poor local rabbits are having to "work" (I somehow doubt that "work" is the right word there) overtime just to meet the demand. It is probably why they (the rabbits) are having so many babies....more poo suppliers?. As it looks a bit like "chocolate raisins" perhaps I should offer some to some humans to see how yummy it really is? As I sense another "weird" moment coming on I shall now shut up! Toodle Pip (or should that be POOdle tip!) x

Hi there mate, how are you? hope you are well. The weather here has been hot for days and the people are complaining that it's too hot now, too hot too cold too wet or windy it's never right is it! Now for the news Bally has been nominated for Junes Laydee of the Month and she is very excited and it would be great if she won then we would have a Hunk and a Laydee in the house. Treat today is a jacked potato with lots of butter topped with cheese and pickle xxx

Well it's the start of a new month and it is actually sunny at the moment, lets hope it stays that way, the dogs don't mind walking in the rain but i'm not keen on it. Bally still wanders off a long way on our walks when allowed off the lead and she loves water and seems to be able to smell it a mile off and then she has to go to it whatever you do or say, she doesn't listen if she wants to get at something, she acts just like a 5 year old big puppy (but we love her). Todays treat is liver and onions with mashed potato and a glass of wine xxx

Hi Chaz, the girlie gundogs reminded me of my long lost youth today because they were chasing birds. Their targets, unlike mine in the good old days, were of the feathered variety (have no fear my ornithological friends, the bells on the girlies collars act as a very effective early warning system) with magpies and pigeons on the agenda. All the creeping, pointing and "I am invisible" positions adopted were very amusing to watch and brought back "David in the disco" memories - most of which were very painful and I am not just talking about the resultant arthritis. In their new role as a David Tribute Ensemble called "Remember the (a number I am not going to tell you, you'll have to guess)ties" the girls and doberdog are today dropping off a pair of bottle green velvet flares, a pink floral shirt, a tank top and some Brut aftershave. Hmmmmm on reflection those could explain a great deal, particularly the "lack of success"!!! Have fun x

Hi there how are you? seem to have had a busy week but if you ask what doing I wouldn't know what to say, I expect we all get times like that! Jack says thanks for all the birthday comments and goodies he enjoyed them very much, but I did have to keep an eye on him to make sure he shared them and to make sure he didn't eat too much at once, he is a bit of a pig really. Todays treat is peanut butter sandwiches and ginger beer xxx

Hi Chaz, "here we are again, happy as can be".......except we are NOT because it is back in the veterinary nurse's uniform again for me (any excuse!)........ and very fetching, or something, I look too!!! Sarika did another claw yesterday, I think that she hit a stone whilst charging around endeavouring to remind Purdey as to exactly who is the boss. Although there was a lot of blood at the time, it has already healed, so, although she is a bit lame still, that isn't the problem. No, today, instead, nurse David is clearing up after the upset stomachs of those two rather silly girlies who drank some rather unpleasant looking puddle water, no accidents in the house yet, thank goodness, but it is not the easiest thing to deal with in a wet garden! I fail to understand the attraction of stagnant puddle water, not that I have actually tried any but I doubt it has that lovely gooseberry and nettle tang of a nice glass of New Zealand sauvignon wine (do you know, my mouth actually started watering when I typed that!!! - How sad is that?). Anyway today we are dropping off useful stuff, some water purification tablets and, should you forget the tablets, some baby wipes and, most importantly, a bottle of NZ sauvignon for the humans. Have fun x

Hi Chaz, hope you had a good weekend with plenty of walks. Well it's Jacks 10th birthday tomorrow so please wish him happy birthday, he wants to spend it by himself but he says if anyone wants to pop in and see him on saturday afternoon they are very welcome as long as they promise not to give him the bumps, but the girls can give him as many birthday kisses as they wish and food is always welcome. Todays treat is banana custard xxx

Just a quick visit today, as not much has happend in the last few days, apart from the snow which the dogs loved although Jack did seem a bit shivery when the walk was over, don't know if it was the cold or excitment and we did go on a rescue mission as a friend lost one of her dogs, luckily we found her o'k she had decided to walk off with a group of people we passed when on the walk, leaving beef stew for you today. xxx

Hi Chaz, how are you? I have had a BRILLIANT idea. I have put BRILLIANT in capitals because it REALLY is. I have two hairy gundogs who are currently moulting into their summer coats - Sarika (injured paw much better) a bit, Purdey a lot. Purdey is shedding so much hair I thought we had a new puppy the other day, in fact I had already named it before I realised it was just Purdey cast offs! So two doggies with hair to spare...and then of course there is Max, who is certainly follically challenged ie bald...and then there is me. Now I wouldn't say I was bald but I was in a bank the other day, in a queue, when I noticed the security tv was showing the queue. On the screen there was some chap and the light was reflecting off his bald bits which seemed to cover his entire head. I was just thinking who is that poor bald "person of unknown parentage" when I realised who it was. Hmmmmmmm. So I have got dogs with spare hair and I've got Max the baldy and me. Simple, collect the hair, add a bit of glue and Max and I will be new hairy men - BRILLIANT. I am just not too sure about the colours - gold and dark grey - so we are sending some tufts over with a tube of super glue. See what you think. Have fun x

Hi Chaz, how are you? It poured with rain here last night but now spring is back, the sun is out and it is getting warm. This will be a short visit to DoggySnaps because I have just noticed Sarika and Purdey getting their wellies on. I am getting the message that a walk - or should I say an expedition featuring sniffing exotic and not-so-exotic smells, rolling in poo, eating poo, hunting and chasing everything including animals, insects and leaves and swimming in any available puddle - is required. And I am not going to mention "getting filthy dirty". It really is a dog's life round here! They are leaving you one of my socks, slightly chewed, and a worm, slightly chewed, and the Heart greatest hits cd because that is playing here at the moment. Have fun x.
