Hi Blue, went to my hydrotherapy and the vets for my booster, the lady vet checked my joints, my arthritics isn’t too bad at present, after we returned from the vets Mum and Dad noticed Skimble limping, so another return trip, he mieowed all the way. Susan said his leg was swollen so he is on antibiotics and was given a painkiller. The house is decorated for Halloween, my Mum did take some photos of me and the witch pumpkin that will go outside, don’t know if they are any good, as I don’t like having my photo taken with strange things in the background, I think Tigger got photographed in a couple of them, my Dad will check them and if any good will post them on the site for a couple of days. We have doggy treats and lots of ‘little human’ treats The pumpkin still has to be carved we a cat face and we have a singing pumpkin dog and because I bark and come running to the door everytime the door bell rings, there is a dog warning sign so I don’t frighten the very little humans. No trick, a treat and a Halloween poem ‘ There is a spooky sound coming from the house next door, you can see them through the window as they bounce off the door. All gouls and goblins passing down the street as they all out looking for a halloween treat. There is a witch as she crackles as she jumps on her broom, then she springs through the night as she glides across the moon, you will jump when the monster glide through the air as they just want to give you a halloween scare. Happy Halloween. Love, Dylan and the cat gang, especially from Lucy our little black cat xx
Hi Blue, I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan and the cats xx xx
Hi Blue, humans have decided to call the new ginger fluff ball 'Tigger', he is curious, greedy, mischievous, playful, he bounces, leaps, jumps, hisses but he is OK. When he is microchipped, I know, he will be here to stay. Steak treat today. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hiya Blue, how are you today? guess what on sunday we went to our local rspca dog show and Jack came 5th in the best veteran class for dogs aged 10 and over, just look at him with his rosette on, we also entered him in the most handsome dog class but he didn't come anywhere which he was upset about because he said he won Hunk of the Month in April so how could he not get anywhere but he soon cheered up when I gave him a biscuit and Bally was entered in the prettiest bitch class but also came nowhere and she won June's Laydee of the Month, I mean do these judges have no taste. But it was a brilliant day we all had fun, so many lovely dogs and the weather even stayed nice for us as well and of course the dogs also found lots of food to eat that all the humans had dropped, we didn't see any yellow doggysnaps badges though, wonder if many members actually have one, we don't but will try and get one soon. Bread and butter pudding and custard today xxx
Hi Blue, what do you think of this, humans didn't even ask my opinion or consult me, I came home from my hydrotheraphy on Sunday, I been so good, I went into the pool by myself, swam around in circles without complaint, suffered the hoover dryer, sat patiently under the dog sunbed, then waited in the car when they dashed into the shops, came home and there it was, patter of tiny paws, not another dog for me to play with but another CAT, a ginger ball of fuff with claws. I did hear my Mum say to Dad, 'I know we were not looking for another cat, but I can't resist a snob story' but do they know, another cat, I have to keep under control, certainly I am made to work for my treats and fuss. I made it known just away, I was the BOSS of this household. This cat, who they are calling Pussycat at present, until a name is decided upon ( they do this every time, it takes about a week for humans to agree on a suitable name), is exploring the place. This morning, Mum was running a bath and Pussycat jumped in and started to drink the bath water, doesn't he know, we do supply water bowls in this house, at least he has learnt, I have a very loud bark and I will still demand my tummy tickles first. Leaving you a string of sausages before the cats get to them. Love, Dylan xx xx
we have come with our appologies again for not visiting for so long we have problems with our internet its still very slow!! and we didnt know mum could speak in so many languages!!well we have been really good we have even learned how to work the tv remote mind you some of the buttons dont work we did try to clean them but not sure it helped!as some of the buttons fell off!and we done mums dusting for her well sort of we couldnt decide who was doing it first so the feather duster just sort of fell to pieces a bit like our toys really!!as its gypsy's 1st birthday today we have brought you in some spider and tennis ball cake with a huge bag of bonios for later we hope to get our internet sorted soon as mum said something about going with someone else!!see you soon luv and woofs rosie, gypsy&angel sasha xxxxxxxx
Hi Blue, today didn't start as we planned, my Mum hasn't been happy about Kizzy, one of our cats so she went to th vet & I had my anal glands empited, we then went a nice walk along the sea front, I was joined by one of my best friends Lucy, I am her toyboy as she is 6 months older than I, we did have a nice paddle in the sea & played fetch with my ball. Mum also decided to put the conservatory fan we had brought from the old house into our bedroom, it was quite expensive as we paid for a silent one that doesn't buss as the wings spin & has been in a box for 4 years, the reason behind the idea, Mum & Dad sleep with the window open so I don't get too hot at night but if the cats misbehave, I bark & my Mum & Dad are worried my loud bark will wake up the neighbours during the unsociable hours, so hence they hatched this plot, my Dad doesn't know Mum has gone ahead with the idea as he is out tonight, she just hope he agrees with what she has done, as they could be just a little hiccup, the ceilings are lower here, certainly much lower than our old conservatory roofing & Dad being over 6ft tall, the fan is only 6ft above the ground, bumps on the head comes to mind, so my Mum has moved the bed to accomodate the fan. Naturally, I was there overseeing the work was carried out to my specifications, I even got on the bed to monitor the work. Leaving you a chicken kebab tonight. With love, Dylan xx xx
Hello Blue, I have been to my hydrotheraphy today for my arthritics, the lady who looks after me, ordered some S.T.P (Stop The Pain), it comes from America & is specially formulated for horses but they have developed a supplement for dogs, so we hope to give it a try & it works. Yesterday, my Mum & Dad started to making our 'scarecrows' for the village festival, this year the theme is movie magic. Most of the entrants do figures, we always enter 'animal scarecrows' & this year will be no different, if our ideas work, we will post them on my kennel in a month's time, We are assembling 5 animal characters & one human figure. The Sunday roast is today's treat. Love, Dylan & the cats: Kizzy, Patches, Lucy, Whisky, Zebedee & Skimble xx xx
Hi Blue hope you are well. Jack has to go and have an xray on his leg on wednesday 18th as it's still bothering him, it can be ok for a month or so and then he starts suffering again, it all started when he was playing ball and twisted it, poor old Jack. Then on the 20th we are going on holiday to Lincolnshire for a week with the dogs as well so don't know when i will be able to visit again, mums mum is coming to cat and house sit whilst we are all away, I will update you on all the news soon after we return. Leaving you tripe on toast xxx
Hi Blue, it is my birthday today & guess what, I am at the vets along with Whisky, one of our cats, I have left you a slice of my cake & given Mum my messages to send to my friends, as I will be on the vet's table along with Whisky, paws crossed we both have nice dreams. I know my Mum is anxious, with the phone besides her, but hopefully they will sort out my limp & Whisky's bad tooth, as we are both a bit uncomfortable. She is taking this opportunity to wash all my water bowls in the dishwasher & wash our bedding, just hope she doesn't forget to cook the chicken for our homecoming. Enjoy your cake, & when I am better, it will be a good excuse to have another
Hi there, hope you are well, our silly mummy has gone and caught a cold but luckily daddy has had this week off work, mummy better get well soon or she won't feel like walking us and that would be just horrible. They have ordered a paddling pool for us though and wish it would hurry up and come so we can get in it. Leaving you some chicken soup today xxx PS if you want to vote for Bally please remember voting ends on sunday at 5PM 25th May, thank you.
Hi there how are you? today the weather is not so good, no sunbathing today but me and the dogs have been able to go in the garden most days, I even managed to get Bally off the sunbed so I could use it, she does love the sun but also water just as much, Jack though prefers to lay in the shade. Hope the weather gets better for the weekend. Please don't forget to vote for Bally as Junes Laydee of the Month as it would mean so much to her, we have only had her since the end of January and love her sooo much. Treat today is tuna and pasta bake xxx
Hi Blue, my Mum & Dad are still missing Amber, Mum cries everytime she thinks of her, expecting to find her curled up in a corner somewhere. Sorry a quick visit, as lots to do around the house, hope to be back Thurs/Friday with stories of my holiday antics & new pics to follow, Leaving a treat of Hebidrean peat smoked trout. Love, Dylan x
Well it's the start of a new month and it is actually sunny at the moment, lets hope it stays that way, the dogs don't mind walking in the rain but i'm not keen on it. Bally still wanders off a long way on our walks when allowed off the lead and she loves water and seems to be able to smell it a mile off and then she has to go to it whatever you do or say, she doesn't listen if she wants to get at something, she acts just like a 5 year old big puppy (but we love her). Todays treat is liver and onions with mashed potato and a glass of wine xxx
Hi there how are you? seem to have had a busy week but if you ask what doing I wouldn't know what to say, I expect we all get times like that! Jack says thanks for all the birthday comments and goodies he enjoyed them very much, but I did have to keep an eye on him to make sure he shared them and to make sure he didn't eat too much at once, he is a bit of a pig really. Todays treat is peanut butter sandwiches and ginger beer xxx
