Hi Lucy how are you doing mate? the sun is shining today so we will enjoy our walk later, are you ready for christmas now? leaving you toad in the hole today xxx
Hi Lucy, went to my hydrotherapy and the vets for my booster, the lady vet checked my joints, my arthritics isn’t too bad at present, after we returned from the vets Mum and Dad noticed Skimble limping, so another return trip, he mieowed all the way. Susan said his leg was swollen so he is on antibiotics and was given a painkiller. The house is decorated for Halloween, my Mum did take some photos of me and the witch pumpkin that will go outside, don’t know if they are any good, as I don’t like having my photo taken with strange things in the background, I think Tigger got photographed in a couple of them, my Dad will check them and if any good will post them on the site for a couple of days. We have doggy treats and lots of ‘little human’ treats The pumpkin still has to be carved we a cat face and we have a singing pumpkin dog and because I bark and come running to the door everytime the door bell rings, there is a dog warning sign so I don’t frighten the very little humans. No trick, a treat and a Halloween poem ‘ There is a spooky sound coming from the house next door, you can see them through the window as they bounce off the door. All gouls and goblins passing down the street as they all out looking for a halloween treat. There is a witch as she crackles as she jumps on her broom, then she springs through the night as she glides across the moon, you will jump when the monster glide through the air as they just want to give you a halloween scare. Happy Halloween. Love, Dylan and the cat gang, especially from Lucy our little black cat xx
Hi Lucy, I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan and the cats xx xx
Hi Lucy, it's abit cooler here today, so sorry we havn't visited for a while but we have been worried about our dog Bally as she has been losing weight, if you want to read all about it look in the forums in the health section and then Bally has been losing weight. Hope you are not suffering from the heat too much, apart from that there is no news. Steak and chips is your treat today xxx
Hi Lucy, humans have decided to call the new ginger fluff ball 'Tigger', he is curious, greedy, mischievous, playful, he bounces, leaps, jumps, hisses but he is OK. When he is microchipped, I know, he will be here to stay. Steak treat today. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hi Lucy, what do you think of this, humans didn't even ask my opinion or consult me, I came home from my hydrotheraphy on Sunday, I been so good, I went into the pool by myself, swam around in circles without complaint, suffered the hoover dryer, sat patiently under the dog sunbed, then waited in the car when they dashed into the shops, came home and there it was, patter of tiny paws, not another dog for me to play with but another CAT, a ginger ball of fuff with claws. I did hear my Mum say to Dad, 'I know we were not looking for another cat, but I can't resist a snob story' but do they know, another cat, I have to keep under control, certainly I am made to work for my treats and fuss. I made it known just away, I was the BOSS of this household. This cat, who they are calling Pussycat at present, until a name is decided upon ( they do this every time, it takes about a week for humans to agree on a suitable name), is exploring the place. This morning, Mum was running a bath and Pussycat jumped in and started to drink the bath water, doesn't he know, we do supply water bowls in this house, at least he has learnt, I have a very loud bark and I will still demand my tummy tickles first. Leaving you a string of sausages before the cats get to them. Love, Dylan xx xx
we have come with our appologies again for not visiting for so long we have problems with our internet its still very slow!! and we didnt know mum could speak in so many languages!!well we have been really good we have even learned how to work the tv remote mind you some of the buttons dont work we did try to clean them but not sure it helped!as some of the buttons fell off!and we done mums dusting for her well sort of we couldnt decide who was doing it first so the feather duster just sort of fell to pieces a bit like our toys really!!as its gypsy's 1st birthday today we have brought you in some spider and tennis ball cake with a huge bag of bonios for later we hope to get our internet sorted soon as mum said something about going with someone else!!see you soon luv and woofs rosie, gypsy&angel sasha xxxxxxxx
Hi Lucy, today didn't start as we planned, my Mum hasn't been happy about Kizzy, one of our cats so she went to th vet & I had my anal glands empited, we then went a nice walk along the sea front, I was joined by one of my best friends Lucy, I am her toyboy as she is 6 months older than I, we did have a nice paddle in the sea & played fetch with my ball. Mum also decided to put the conservatory fan we had brought from the old house into our bedroom, it was quite expensive as we paid for a silent one that doesn't buss as the wings spin & has been in a box for 4 years, the reason behind the idea, Mum & Dad sleep with the window open so I don't get too hot at night but if the cats misbehave, I bark & my Mum & Dad are worried my loud bark will wake up the neighbours during the unsociable hours, so hence they hatched this plot, my Dad doesn't know Mum has gone ahead with the idea as he is out tonight, she just hope he agrees with what she has done, as they could be just a little hiccup, the ceilings are lower here, certainly much lower than our old conservatory roofing & Dad being over 6ft tall, the fan is only 6ft above the ground, bumps on the head comes to mind, so my Mum has moved the bed to accomodate the fan. Naturally, I was there overseeing the work was carried out to my specifications, I even got on the bed to monitor the work. Leaving you a chicken kebab tonight. With love, Dylan xx xx
Hello Lucy, I have been to my hydrotheraphy today for my arthritics, the lady who looks after me, ordered some S.T.P (Stop The Pain), it comes from America & is specially formulated for horses but they have developed a supplement for dogs, so we hope to give it a try & it works. Yesterday, my Mum & Dad started to making our 'scarecrows' for the village festival, this year the theme is movie magic. Most of the entrants do figures, we always enter 'animal scarecrows' & this year will be no different, if our ideas work, we will post them on my kennel in a month's time, We are assembling 5 animal characters & one human figure. The Sunday roast is today's treat. Love, Dylan & the cats: Kizzy, Patches, Lucy, Whisky, Zebedee & Skimble xx xx
Hi Lucy, it is my birthday today & guess what, I am at the vets along with Whisky, one of our cats, I have left you a slice of my cake & given Mum my messages to send to my friends, as I will be on the vet's table along with Whisky, paws crossed we both have nice dreams. I know my Mum is anxious, with the phone besides her, but hopefully they will sort out my limp & Whisky's bad tooth, as we are both a bit uncomfortable. She is taking this opportunity to wash all my water bowls in the dishwasher & wash our bedding, just hope she doesn't forget to cook the chicken for our homecoming. Enjoy your cake, & when I am better, it will be a good excuse to have another
Hi Lucy, my Mum & Dad are still missing Amber, Mum cries everytime she thinks of her, expecting to find her curled up in a corner somewhere. Sorry a quick visit, as lots to do around the house, hope to be back Thurs/Friday with stories of my holiday antics & new pics to follow, Leaving a treat of Hebidrean peat smoked trout. Love, Dylan x
Hi there mate, how are you? hope you are well. The weather here has been hot for days and the people are complaining that it's too hot now, too hot too cold too wet or windy it's never right is it! Now for the news Bally has been nominated for Junes Laydee of the Month and she is very excited and it would be great if she won then we would have a Hunk and a Laydee in the house. Treat today is a jacked potato with lots of butter topped with cheese and pickle xxx
Hi Lucy, it is cold wet & windy today, Mum has sneaked on the heating as we still have no gas fire as the result of Skimble peeing on it, typical tom cat, sprays everywhere. The dishwasher & hoover are too ill to be fixed & the ceiling in one of the downstairs rooms is leaking, but Mum is used to having leaking roofs, in her childhood, she lived in a house with a flat roof and used to joke, there was a showder in every bedroom. We had some men who came out to look at the leaking ceiling today, despite me wagging my tail they didn't make a lot of fuss of me, they say they might have to strip off the roof, whatever that means, as least it is covered by NHBC. Yesterday, it was a nice day & I tried to pinch some sausages from a nice lady & gentleman's BBQ, their rear garden backs onto the glen, didn't get any but I did get a fuss & some garlic bread whilst my Mum made a fuss of their dog, Oscar. Today, I tried to get on a bus without my Mum, don't think the bus driver was too impressed. News from the cat family, Amber is much better but it is Kizzy's turn for the trip to the vets, she has gone bald on her tummy, she returns next week & is on antibiotics. Still waiting for my insurance to pay up, re- submitted the form yesterday, as Petplan haven't got any record of it yet. Mum has got her home made soup craze on, it is cream of onion tonight & garlic bread (cos I didn't get any sausages). Love, Dylan & the cat team x
