Hi Jada, how are you, soon to be numb gum David here today. I managed to break a front tooth vertically again yesterday, it serves me right for eating broken biscuit cake straight from the fridge (I blame she who has just got back from university, I hid the cake so she wouldn't pinch it!). "That is a very crunchy biscuit" I thought until I found the gap in my tooth. I am temporarily being referred to as FANG but at least my soon-to be visited dentist is beautiful. All is well here otherwise, glorious weather and all the doggies are enjoying life. As a treat we are sending over a bit of broken biscuit cake (if you find any very crunchy bits perhaps you could let me have them back) x
Hi Jada, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Jada, a quick visit today because the sun has just come out and Sarika and Purdey are now standing by the front door. Could be a clue David? I have just made some fishcakes - salmon, coriander, green beans, egg and thai red curry paste - so we are dropping some off for you and yours as today's treat. Enjoy.
Hi Jada, how are you? I hoped that spring had sprung, if it has I think it has now sprung back into its box because it has been icy cold here. And talking of spring, Sarika did a somersault/back flip yesterday, I shall call it a "Purdey" which is also a bit of a clue as to the outcome. She was chasing a tennis ball which bounced over her head, in her excitement she leapt in the air and did a back flip after the ball .........and landed straight in something disgusting. I think that it had previously "belonged" to a deer or a badger! Sarika was mortified, she is after all a LADY and so was I, because, somehow or other, I ended up with some of it on me. I am simply not articulate enough to describe the awfulness of the stench, not without using a fair number of swearwords anyway. Ugh..Ugh..and treble Ugh!!! Thank goodness for tomato puree (Sarika) and anti bacterial handwash (me)and the washing machine (my clothes). And Purdey clearly smiled when she saw what had happened to both Her Majesty and me (her slave), she was also quite clearly trying to work out how to get some of the pong by rolling on Sarika and/or me. Today's treat therefore is an absolute essential now, a non-bouncing tennis ball. And I am off to check my hands again. Have fun x
Good evening my dear friend. I had a lovely run around in the feild with my friend Lily today, it was fun. I went all frothy around my mouth cause I was sooo happy and running like crazy. I haven't been to the field for over a week because the fair has been there. it's all gone now. I'm leaving you fish and chips tonight. Keep warm tonight, it's gonna be a cold one. Love ya!!!! Alfie xox
Hi Jada, well at one stage I thought I had a lump on my back but it was OK, it was only a sofa! Six hours of televised rugby on a Saturday can do that for you. The weather has been awful here so only one word is necessary to describe the doggies over the weekend and that is DIRTY. Actually I could add a couple of other words too but I doubt they would be allowed by the site censor. To celebrate the various victorious rugby teams the girls and doberdog are delivering something Italian, pasta, followed by something Welsh, poached sewin (seatrout), followed by something English, treacle pudding and custard. And Purdey the poomonster is adding a savoury(!) course of something she "found" on our walk - I am not prepared to describe it, you will have to guess what it is (or for that matter, was!!!) but, my goodness, it smells. I use the word "enjoy" with some caution. x
Hi Jada, strong winds, heavy rain and deep and thick mud. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I have got hairy gundogs who love walkies! I stand a good chance of getting both dogwashers elbow (like tennis elbow but doesn't require a bat!) and agedhousehunk's knee (like housemaid's knee but doesn't require a frock - well, except, perhaps, on Tuesday's!!!!) with all the cleaning (girlie dogs and house) taking place at the moment. Thank goodness for the DoggySnaps photos - they at least give me some idea of how the East European lovelies are meant to look! Thank goodness also that dobes prefers sleeping. A brief David's Dreadful Diet Report, after 10 weeks I have lost 1 stone 3lbs and now I am having a break until after Easter. As a clue as to what is on my eating agenda, sooner rather than later, in fact very much sooner, the mud babes and sleeping baldy are today delivering a tub of Haagen-Dazs icecream - dulche de leche flavour. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY. Enjoy x
Oh my, hasn't it been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cold and windy?? Fortunately we didn't get it too bad. I gutted my cuddly bunny I got for Christmas, mummy can't believe it lasted so long. I still love it, besides, gutting is great fun isn't it? I've also been bringing little stones in from the garden <g>, mummy always knows I have one in my mouth by the way I look at her, I love the 'chase me for the stone game'. She always makes me 'drop it' and being the good boy I am, I always do!! I am leaving you home made fish and chips with garden peas tonight. Love you lots my friend! Love Alfie xox
Hi Jada, goodness me it was windy last night, I knew I would regret that second bowl of cabbage soup! Watched Crufts on the tv and there was that wonderful moment in the Friends for Life result when Harriet, the little girl with cerebral palsy, got upset after winning. Her dog, the beautiful Yepa, climbed onto Harriet's wheelchair to comfort her. It was such a wonderful moment it made me cry. The HWVs are such a fabulous sensitive breed. As a tribute to Yepa, her princessliness Sarika has been in the kitchen making an Hungarian goulash which she is sending over. Purdey is bringing the mashed potato and a vegetable of your choice and Max is bringing some bread with which you can mop up all those lovely juices. Enjoy x
Hey Girls, how are you? Hope you are having a great day. You may have already spotted the announcement but just incase you haven't it is my 13th birthday on Saturday 8th March and I will be having a party for all my poochie friends. It is a vicar and tarts theme but boys and girls can come as either (no restriction) I would love you to come. Well today I am sending roast lamb - hope you enjoy. Big wags and woofs, love Sam xxxxxx
Hellooooo all how are youuuuu. It was VERY HOT this week-end and Saturday was spent around the pool-Mum invited friends over and had a swim time and Bbq. Yesterday Mum and Dad took a drive in the country-side and decided to visit the picnic spot at the Incandu (Zulu word) Falls picnic spot - 'no dogs alowed boo hoo'- there is a looong stair-case leading down to the bottom of the waterfall (165 steps, Mum and Dad counted coming back up!!!!), by the time they got to to the bottom--taking pics inbetween--they realised they should have brought bathing-suits, as there were plenty of swimmers in the pool below-so what did they do---YEP they got into the water with their clothes on--we DID mention that it WAS VERY HOT didn't we!!!! They also met some folks they hadn't see in a looog time and spent time chatting after the swim - these friends also had guests with them from Berkshire England--and what did they say!!! They DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK TO THE COLD WEATHER IN ENGLAND!!!!! They were pretty sun-burnt though..and in a weeks time if any of the English folks on doggysnaps see a couple of people walking around looking like beet-roots you know they were visiting here!!!heheheee!!! Treats today is minced beef with mashed potatoe and gravey. Loves and licks Scoop, Pippa and Michaela xxxxxxxxxxxx
hey girls, how are you all? Hope you have had a great weekend. Sorry I have not been to see you for a while. It has been really hectic here over the last week, and now mummy is feeling poorly again. So unfortunately this will be a short one too because I am going to try and get round everyone and redeem myself. Well today I am sending you some canelloni. Take care and catch you soon. Big wags and woofs, love Sam

The "could be" bad news is all that stuff featuring injections, drills and burning smells. The "is" good news is that a) it is only a check-up (hopefully) and b) my dentist is beautiful. In sympathy with my predicament, the girls and doberdog, all currently behaving and smelling nice, are delivering some very fetching pink mouthwash and some Orbit chewing gum. They also wanted to send a picture of my dentist but I have said that they cannot because it is mine. Did I mention that she is beautiful? It is why I am setting off now, my appointment isn't until tomorrow, but I will wait!!!!!!!! TEE HEE x
