Hello. Hope you and your lovely bullmastiffs are well. Just wanted to let you know that Hooch was at the vets recently. He's now 5 months old and weighs 27 kilos. Vet says he's doing great.

Hiya, how gorgeous are your two!! I bet they're little monkeys like mine!! Well maybe not so little!! I changed George onto the raw food diet a couple of months ago because like I mentioned he cannot eat dried food. I was feeding him Pedigree real meals which he loved but it was costing a fortune eating a box a day, and I really thought it was no good for him. I did some research in to the BARF diet and only found positives, the only negative was from Burns, but as they only sell dried food, I guess that would be why!! I spoke to our vet who also feeds her dogs on raw food and she also said it would be really good for him, but warned me I would see a dramatic difference in how he looked. I really was shocked though, he absolutely loved it, but he became so lean I was worried I wasn't feeding him enough, but as he had twice as much energy, I realised he couldn't be starving!! He has put more weight on now, but I'm not sure if this is because he is still growing, he's not two yet. I had to change Bobbi aswell, because she started looking longingly at Georges food and refused to eat her own dried food, cheeky monkey!! I buy the Natures Menu Banquet Nuggets, if you type it in google they have a website you can look at. They stock it in Pets at Home, but I had problems buying it because they don't keep enough stock and they weren't reliable with the ordering, so I asked my local petshop and they order it in for me. They have a bag a day each, but I do give more to George as he's bigger than Bobbi. It's £2.20 a bag, so it really isn't too expensive. Raw bones are also supposed to be really good for them, so I just pick them up from the butchers for next to nothing. I hope this helps, and apologies if I'm waffling!! Speak soon, Michelle.
