Hi Aris, THE GOOD NEWS, it is DDDD65 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 65) and yesterday was weigh day...guess what, 1 stone 2 lb gone now. I am very chuffed because I did scoff a lot of really yummy stuff at the wedding on Saturday. I guess that the excess has gone because it has got jolly cold here and I have exercised and shivered it off. Turning off the central heating and keeping all the windows open was clearly one of my better ideas although I am not convinced that Mrs Davidmh agrees, it is the first time she has ever had a bath while wearing gloves and a hat!!! Ho Ho (only joking but what a very good idea...Hmmmmm...!). And now the doggies: well, they are all blooming, the girls are getting plenty of exercise and Max is slowly increasing his awake hours. THE UGH NEWS, speaking of Max, he had an "accident" of the "dumping" type in the kitchen yesterday; guess who cleared it up? It wasn't him, it wasn't me or the begloved and behatted wife and, of course, it wasn't the princessliness Sarika. Purdey cleared it up, if you know what I mean! As a result the Poomonster will not be kissing me in the near future! THE TREAT NEWS, I made a thai red prawn curry for Mrs Davidmh yesterday and there is some left over so the girls and doberdog are dropping that off with some sticky rice. Enjoy x
Hi Aris, today the girls and doberdog are delivering A STONE each as a present. Sarika, her princessliness, is delivering A STONE (precious) - you get to chose from a diamond, a ruby, an emerald and a sapphire - pick whichever you want. Purdey, currently, but no doubt temporarily, a fox/deer/duck poo smell free zone, is delivering A STONE (semi precious) - jet, opal, amethyst or aquamarine - as before you get to pick. And Max, when he wakes up, will be delivering A STONE (common) - your choice from pebbles he found on a walk At STONEhenge and very pretty they are too, one even has a fossil in it (no, not me!). This delivery is occuring to some background music, some provided by A group called STONE The Crows, some provided by A group called STONE Temple Pilots and also the song Ruby Tuesday by A group called the Rolling STONEs, because we Admire itS TONEs, although Max would probably prefer a lullaby. Have fun x PS It is DDDD51 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 51) and it was weigh day yesterday.....guess how much weight I have now lost? PS2 There are clues in the message PS3 TEEHEE, time for a mega booze up methinks x.
Hi Aris, it is all quiet in the Davidmh household today, not even a doggy botty burp to report. The girls were at the v*ts earlier for booster jabs so they are a bit subdued at the moment and Max, well Max is asleep - he actually woke up a few moments ago but seeing that his East European lovelies were snoring he decided to join them in the land of nod again. So we will get straight to treats. Today the girls and doberdog are delivering some crispy skin duck, carrot and potato mash and peas with shallots and bacon. This is what I cooked and consumed on Valentine's Day, along with my share of two bottles of something fizzy. Not surprisingly I am a little concerned about tomorrow's diet weigh day! PS Anyone got any faulty (weigh less) scales they can lend me!!! x
Hi Aris,..........it is Valentines Day. Today Sarika, also known as the Ladyee of Lurve, Purdey also known as the Poomonster, Maxwell Doberdog, also known as the Sleeping Baldy, and their Human (me.....also known as A Bit Slimmer - 12lb off now!) are sending you all - doggies and human slaves - a virtual Valentine card, with all our love x
Hello Aris...We hope you are well today...it has been a lovely spring like last few days here and we love the sun! We have left you a treat of egg & chips this evening and a PM for your dad! Take Care our little Greek God...Love Parker & Bosley
Hi Aris. What have you been up to? Me? Well, I've been to the beach today and tried to eat a stick (I don't know why, I just thought it looked tasty!), Mummy wrote my name in the sand, I helped by adding my paw prints, I had a really nice time. Mummy went out this morning and found a nice scrapbook kit especially for pooches, so she bought it and is going to add some pictures and things of me, I can't wait to see it when it's finished! ;) I nicked a little bit of yoghurt earlier and got my nose stuck in the carton, Mummy laughed and she's took some pictures which she says she'll add to doggysnaps when she gets the chance (oh, the horror!). On that note I think I'll leave you a yoghurt tonight - I'll let you choose which kind you want - and please don't get your nose stuck in the carton! Here's your yoghurt...enjoy! Lots of love from Buffy xx
Hello Aris. How are you? I'm not too bad. It's really warm and sunny today, makes a change from dull and miserable! :) I'm sending you a big bag of treats today...enjoy! Lots of love from Buffy xx
Hi Aris, my little friend, welcome back!!! This week has been lovely and sunny, and I’ve been in the garden all day instead of the house. I’ve had great fun because Mummy has been giving me a rawhide chew to entertain me each day. She thought I was doing my usual trick of burying it in a corner next to my doghouse or under a pile of leaves, but I have been burying it in that nice big plant pot on the back patio!!! Mummy didn’t find out until I came into the house with my chew in my mouth, complete with a bizzy lizzie stalk hanging out of the side. Oooops!!! Of course then she had to go and have a look and found bits of chrysanthemum and bizzy lizzie all over the place and no soil in the pot!!! Think I’m in a bit of trouble now which is a shame because I had planned to blame the rat for the plants being dug up.
When we went on our walk last night we met the lady I used to live with before mummy & daddy adopted me. I’m glad I don’t live with her any more because she has 3 children under 5 so I wouldn’t have any peace at all and I know that I wouldn’t be allowed to sleep on a king sized bed!!!
This morning I went to the vet for my arthritis jab. I saw Dr Lucy the new vet for the first time and she was so nice to me … she looked at my ears and my teeth and listened to my heart and chest with her stethoscope thingy and she told mummy and daddy that I am so healthy that they will hopefully have me for years yet and that I don’t look old at all!! She did say that I have got to lose a bit of weight so they have to give me a bit less food because I don’t run about as much as I used to;( My friend Pippa the labradoodle pup was at the vet too and she wanted to play with me in the waiting room. Well, I’m having a kip now while mummy does my emails, sending some doggie chocolates today! Lots of love Fluffy xxx
hi TEDDY here i am so sorry i never wrote yesterday but mum never felt very well and said she was having an early night well she went to bed after midnight in the end and this morning dad gave me a kiss and i couldnt stop making snorting noises and i was starting to shake mum blamed dad as he smelt of garlick but i was ok after i went to the fields i forgot all about it and yesterday i had 3 more valentine cards one was bigger than me and i know who they came from because we read the post marks well today im sending you breaded mushrooms in garlick dip lots of love teddy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hello my friend, great to catch up again. well, we are all rested today. we were very tired last night. mum decided to give me (Tess) one of those terrible necessary things today. a BATH!! I must admit I smell much nicer. later was the horrible flea treatment. then there was a cuddle from mum, so that made it worthwhile. hehe!! Buster is doing well, mum visited him today. treat for you. doggie choc.have a great weekend. take care. love Tess & Buster. ♥♥♥
Hi Aris. Long time no see ;O) hope everything is ok in Greece? Nice seeing you again, we sure have missed you, but we guess your daddy is right, work comes before doggysnaps!!!!!! or does it????
well we are just abou to be off for a walk on the beach now, it is a beautifull day here today, sun and a slear blue sky ;O) popping in to leave you some breakfast handsome. love Joey and Buddy
Hi Aris, good to see you around x ......all is well in our world today, after a cold start it is already getting sunny and mild, England aren't going to get beaten by Wales at rugby today (perhaps and only because they are not playing!) and we didn't meet any unpleasant cyclists on our walk. We actually met one who, on seeing the dogs nearby, stopped his bike. If he had been a she I would have been inclined to give her a kiss, instead I said "thank you" and he said "absolutely no problem". That is, indeed, more like it. Today I feel in the need to mention some things yummy (because I, dieting David, cannot have them in real life and I do find myself thinking about food rather a lot at the moment) so the girls and doberdog are delivering sausages, beans and mash followed by a Thai red prawn curry followed by a pavlova meringue filled with double cream, pineapple and stem ginger followed by a sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce followed by a very large piece of brie with digestive biscuits. VERY YUMMY. For some bizarre reason last night I had a dream featuring a cherry bakewell tart (enough said!) so you can have one of those too. Have an excellent weekend and lots of fun x
