Hiya!
Well, Mum got me in the vets for Friday morning to have my lumps removed. I heard her telling Dad that when she found them on Sunday, there were several small lumps, now they've joined to make one bigger one and it's only Wednesday! I'm worried about Friday but I know Mum will be there to give me lots of kisses and cuddles to make me feel better and she will give me lots of love when I get home! She says I can even sleep in the living room so Flynn doesnt bother me!
Sending you a fortune cookie because sometimes it's useful to know what the future holds. Love Jed xx
Today Mum took me to the vets to find out what those lumps are on my chest. The vet said they didnt feel like simple fatty lumps as they were too firm so it looks like i'm going to have an operation to remove them and then they're going to be sent off to see what they are. Doesnt sound like much fun does it? Just when i'm starting back into my agility, looks like i'll have to be off soon resting! They say no news is good news and to add further insult to injury, i've gained even more weight! I'm now 30.6kg even though Mum has been cutting down on treats and I only have them when i'm training (and she cooks me veggie sausage cos they're lower fat). I only have 300g of food a day which the vet says isn't much and I get lots of exercise so Mum cant explain it.
Since I cant have any treats, you can have my share of Vegetarian Frankfurters! Love Jed
Well, know how I said yesterday Mum and Grandma were taking Jed and I to a Working Trials show? We found the place after much driving round but everything seemed to be deserted so we gave up and went to a Country Park instead where we had a great time. Mummy was quite miffed we didnt get to see any WT experts doing their stuff but there will be other times. We helped a little boy out today who had lost his football in the lake and was making an awful racket crying! Mum sent Jed and I in to retrieve it. I didnt fancy getting my feet wet in front of the crowd which had gathered but Jed was straight in there after it. The football was too big to get in his mouth but he managed to push it close to the bank where the boys Mum could reach it. I'm telling you, he's either having a serious identity crisis or he was a Gundog in a previous life! Whatever the reason, he made this little boy happy and Mummy proud!
Mum has also found some strange little lumps in Jed's chest so she's taking him to the vets as soon as she can to get him checked out. I'll keep you posted, Flynn xx
Just a little update on happenings in our neck of the woods as we havent had time to write in anybody's kennel recently!
Mummy has finally organised some new agility classes for Jed which i'm pleased about as he's a right stick in the mud at the moment. He's quite glum so I think getting back into his agility will cheer him up as he did love going to his classes.
Mum and Grandma are taking us to a Working Trials show tomorrow because i'm 6 months old now and want to start learning lots of things. I'm getting really good in my obedience classes and everybody is saying how much they adore me and what a great little dog I am, it makes my Mum proud. She wants to get into Working Trials with me as I love to use my nose and what I cant jump isnt worth jumping! Since Mum isnt into shooting ducks or pigeons she thinks this is the next best thing for me. Jed and I were taken to a Game and Country Fair last weekend and I took a keen interest in the Gundog displays, Jed took a keen interest in the show rabbits and the big eagle which was being shown round! I think he forgets sheep are his territory and birds are mine! There were lots of labradors and spaniels there but nothing else which looked like me so my Mum got lots of questions and comments from admiring country folk! It makes her feel sorry for Jed though because nobody ever pays him any attention. We even went to a Border Collie show and nobody there looked at him twice, probably because he didnt cost a fortune and doesnt have those fancy papers. Oh well, they will all take notice when he becomes agility dog extraordinaire! Mum loves him and as far as brothers go, he's alright I guess!
awww i havnt had a good day no walks coz its flooded sort of not in the house tho also i havt been able to go to agility for ages because of the rain but luckily dad made me sum jumps to practise wiv hows the weather there.hope you hav a good day lots of bones bella the labradoodle
