Hi Abner, Sunday 14 December is Sarika’s third birthday. It is nearly three years since this gorgeous zany girlie gundog came in to my life and what a wonderful impact she has had. After today I will not have the time for kennel visits until next week so today we are delivering birthday cake and a bottle of pop so you can all enjoy them for breakfast on Sunday. Have fun. And finally... A poodle and a collie were walking down the street. The poodle turned to the collie and complained, "My life is a mess. My owner is mean, my girlfriend is having an affair with a German shepherd, and I'm nervous as a cat." "Why don't you go see a psychiatrist?" asked the collie. "I can't," replied the poodle. "I'm not allowed on the couch. x

Hi Abner, tip to self(1)....be more careful when lifting and turning with a full bucket of water. No, I didn’t spill it on the floor, in fact I rather wish I had....instead I have ended up with a prolapsed disc in my lower spine. And yes, it was OUCH (amongst other words) then, OUCH now and OUCH for some time to come. At least the doggies are all “in the pink”...well, actually the girlie gundogs, the Princessliness Sarika and Purdey the Poomonster, are in the not surprisingly MUD COLOURED BROWN (the paths and tracks round here being filthy at the moment) and Max, well Max is in a bed which I suppose could be pink but is actually BLUE. Anyway they join their injured slave in sending their regards. And finally, one for the anglers.....Two parrots are sitting on a perch. One turns to the other and says "Can you smell fish?" xx

HI TED THE ED here Well First of all i would like to Thank the Person who entered me for HOTM i am Honoured but there are some Handsome Men in the Competition and i Think We should all Thank Auntie Krissie [ puppymummy ] and Auntie Lisa [ theshadow ] who does Laydee of the Month for all there Hard work because they still send their Messages out + keeping us updated with the Competitons Thankyou Both xxxx Now it looks like our BIGGIE [ shell718 ] may not need an operation yet ! but he is on Painkillers for his Severe Arthritus and ANGUS [ angus71] is doing well after His Seizure and BONNY [ scotty dog ] is doing well with her Hydropherapy sessions so please send them your Best Wishes as Bonny's Mum Linda told me our Messages have helped her so much knowing we care and WE DO CARE xx We Love all of Friends and their Humans . Now MERLIN [ gerald and jon ] has become a Dad His Girlfriend !! had 3 boys and 1 girl so Congratulations Merlin.ive got 3 Kids did you know that ?? Hi Abner, why, after we have a bit of rain, is the mud on our previously dry field paths two inches deep? On the subject of MUD, I have decided I would like to reincarnate Flanders and Swann who composed and sang the song “Mud Mud, Glorious Mud”. If they and their friend THE HIPPOPOTAMUS think that MUD is so great then they can bloody well turn up on my doorstep with buckets of soapy warm water and sponges and give me a hand cleaning two deliriously happy and very dirty girlie gundogs. It would serve them, F and S and the Hippo, right (plus I would like to see a HIPPO trying to hold a sponge let alone give a wash to her princessliness very skitty knickers Sarika!!!!). Today I am sending over a small lamb and a peppermint flavoured striped hard boiled sweet.........................they are a clue to the appropriate words for my GRUMPY OLD MAN mood.......BAH HUMBUG!!!! Dobes slept through the chaos so, like him, I am off to have a lie down now! x

Hi Abner, NEWS FLASH....NEWS FLASH.....NEWS FLASH..... ANOTHER SHOCK HORROR AWE FILLED SENSATION. People of Berkshire in the United of Kingdoms have been stunned by the incredible news from the davidmh kennel. Her Princessliness Sarika ....... a member of The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla Royal Household, she of the ”butter wouldn’t melt” expression, she of the human eyes and the perfumed botty burps, the Laydee of the Month of Lurve, also known as Her Gorgeousness and, by Purdey, as Miss Goody Twoshoes............ has disgraced herself. On a walk this morning she did a Purdey, SHE ROLLED IN SOMETHING UNMENTIONABLE AND VERY SMELLY. Her human slave (now on tranquillisers) and the incorrigible one, the Poomonster, looked on in complete bewilderment. The sleeping dobes has yet to express an opinion. TV news crews from the Doggy Channel are on site and the Ambulance Service are administering to many stunned passers-by. What next?!!!! Will Sarika become the Poomonster? Will Purdey give up her title willingly? Will Max wake up? A bottle of pop and a fillet steak for you while we are waiting for answers to these fundamental questions. x

Hi Abner, I think Maxwell has turned into a fish as we have now “enjoyed” a veritable shoal of fish farts. I am not actually sure that “enjoyed” is the right word there! However I cannot find any fins on him so I asked the local “she who knows absolutely everything about dogs” and she said I had to squeeze some glands in his nether regions. “SQUEEZE......”GLANDS”..... .”MAX’S NETHER REGIONS”.......”ME”. I don’t think so, that’s the sort of thing you PAY someone else to do.......Mrs Davidmh, have you got any cash, would you like some? It has also been all quiet here as far as Purdey is concerned, no rolling in, no treading in nor scoffing of unmentionables. Which is TROUBLING because I said that pigs would fly before that happened. I now go outside with considerable trepidation...it is ok being hit by a bird poo from 100 feet but PIG POO!! Goodnight Vienna methinks. Her Princessliness remains just that so today she is sending over some cash (should you have Max’s problem) and a golfing umbrella for your slave, just in case pigs do fly! X PS the one good thing about fish farts (what AM I writing!!!!) is that I have discovered that my reflexes still work, you would not believe how quickly I got out of the sitting room yesterday!!!

Hi Abner, NOT THE BEST 24 HOURS. First of all Max did a “fish fart”, unfortunately he was sitting on my lap at the time. Owners of older dogs will probably know about fish farts, owners of younger dogs have a treat in store. I am not articulate enough to describe the noxious lingering pong that results. Then on our walk Sarika came back lame, by the looks of things she got a stone caught in her paw, no cuts but bruises. While I was sorting her out I noticed that Purdey had trailed some mud on the floor. I picked it up and sniffed it....WHY DID I DO THAT? WHY DID I PICK IT UP? WHY ON EARTH DID I SNIFF IT? It is fair to say that I now regret picking it up and, very particularly, sniffing it. The little darling had obviously walked in what she normally rolls in, deer poo I think. I very nearly joined my clothes in the washing machine. So indeed NOT THE BEST 24 HOURS and now there is the next 24 to look forward to, OH DEAR. Today the girls are sending over some spare kisses and Max is sending a cork and a nose clip. PS Despite being well snogged Tommy didn’t turn into a prince, perhaps because he is a toad rather than a frog? But at least he has a smile on his face now! x

Hi Abner, what a lovely weekend, perhaps THAT was our long awaited summer? We walked up the Thames a couple of times and much fun was had by all....well, except perhaps for the duck which Purdey chased.....or the tennis ball which Sarika managed to sink.... it is a tough life being a tennis ball round here! The weekend’s big news was that Sarika and Purdey found a new friend who we are calling Tommy (pic in kennel if you can get there!). Max hasn’t met Tommy (who might even be a prince, who knows) because dobes opted for sleep rather than exercise. Because of Tommy the girlies are sending over a HALL.....Purdey wanted to send mouthwash too but that is her problem, serves her right for picking up Tommy with her mouth......all will become obvious, hopefully. Have fun x

Hi Abner, how are you? SHOCK HORROR SENSATIONAL NEWS........ the doggies are all very well but one of them (GUESS WHO?) is in David’s bad books. Did I ever tell you that Purdey can do the “backstroke”...seemingly for a laugh she will travel around in the house on her back, pushing herself along with her hind legs. She really is a clown. Anyway, after being NAMED and SHAMED I thought that she would turn over a new leaf on the poo subject. Well she sort of did........she actually rolled on a leaf yesterday..........unfortunately the leaf was underneath a pile of very fresh deer poo. My heart sank when having rolled she then decided to do the “backstroke” on the poo too. And then this person came along and said...”she is covered in it” (I think that was the word).....”thank you” said I. GRRRRRRRRRRR. She has now decided to be a guard dog although her kennel picture is causing me some concern on that subject too. Anyway, today we are sending over a royal wave from the princess, sweet dreams from dobes and, you guessed it, a leaf from Purdey. Have fun x. PS I would handle the leaf with care!

HI TED THE ED here well sorry i didnt visit yeasterday but it was one of those days BUSY never mind im here today Well we are all invited to a PARTY today BODI [ jaynebrac ] is 13 yrs old and theres plenty of booze flowing so i will se you there later LUCY [ bedbug ] went to the vets about her Lump and good news its just a Fatty Lump nothing sinister so im so pleased to hear that [ i love her ] ROSCO [ thaliaward ] has been given the all clear and his mums gone on holiday today so hes at home with his dad so we wont hear from him for two weeks but i did say we will send him all the gossip ,WILLOW [ snooker ] had her 3 mth checkup and all was well xx MISCHA [ kazdon ] is still the same she is on pain killers but i will keep you informed on her please send a get well wish that always gives a boost to the owners knowing we are thinking of them . Now have you met FINDLEY [ Gis ] well i think he is going to be like his lovely Brother Angel Gissy hes had a sip of his Dads beer already Gissy was my very good friend and he loved to Party and Made a Big Impact on this site We all miss him so much and if Findley turns out to be like Gissy hes gonna be a Good Friend to all of us . Hi Abner, some people say that you shouldn’t NAME and SHAME unpleasant behaviour on DoggySnaps. Well, I am going to make an exception to the rule because, quite frankly, enough is enough........The NAME is.....PURDEY...............THE SHAME is.....FOX POO. Now I guess that some people probably think I exaggerate Purdey’s prideliction for recycled animal dinners.....well, this time the gorgeous little sod has got her comeuppance because I took a photograph of her in her fox poo finery and I have put it in her kennel for all her friends and supporters to see. Serves her right. The clean and fragrant ones, Princessliness Sarika and His Baldiness, are dropping off virtual photos of themselves.....”unpooed” they said somewhat smugly! HI TED THE ED here well today we have got some poorly friends SHADOW [ theshadow ] was rushed to the vets yesterday and she has a Virus and she has to go back today for more Fluids her Mum & Dad are so worried about her .Also Linda, BONNY [ scotty dog ] Mum is very upset as there is nothing the vets can do for her They are going to try Hydrotherapy to build up her back leg muscles , But Bonny and her Family are all going to Scotland for a 2 week holiday so lets hope the holiday rest will do them all good .and ROSCO [ thaliaward ] goes tomorrow to the vets as his lump has got big again . So please lets Pray all goes well and they all Get Better Soon . OZZY [ nicknackpaddywack ] has a deep infection but he is on the mend after his Big Operation and MERLIN [ gerald and jon ] is feeling better .I hate it when our Friends are Poorly as you know what their Owners are going through But we are Here for All of Them because they would be here for us xx Now there is a story on the forum WHO CAN LOVE MY BABY ....MILO & NELLY [* tina* ] now Tina rescued Nelly who had lived in a cage for 2 yrs but Nelly has some Behavioral Problems Now Tina has a huge Task ahead of her so PLEASE pop to her Kennel and give her your Support I Think she deserves it we do have a PAWS OF FRIENDSHIP today LIZZY [ amreid ] and BARNEY [ leahmarie ] well todays treat is a Get Well Card for all of you to sign to our Lovely Friends see you tomorrow love TEDDY xxxxxxxxx

Hi Abner, how are you? This is our first DS visit for a while because I’ve simply got fed up with my continuing difficulty in getting into my kennel. Everything is fine here, Her Princessliness remains just that and dobes is asleep. Today’s treat is practical and necessary, a bottle of eau de dogogne.....VERY necessary in our case as our sensational news is that Purdey is no longer THE POOMONSTER, she is now THE STINKMONSTER. She has stopped rolling in recycled animal dinners (no doubt aware that a BATH will result) and has now taken up rolling in places where there are just strong smells (and, yes, I know what that could be!). You can imagine the scenario.......she comes running out of the fields and she is not covered in poo.......PHEW .......which rapidly changes to COR, WHAT IS THAT EFFING STINK as she gets closer. More baths await, methinks. I daren’t change her name on here however as, if I do, it will probably take me even longer to get into my kennel! Have a good day x

HI TED THE ED here well ive been acting silly today all puppy like usually im sulky on Mums work days ,I had a bath yesterday as i keep scratching Mum reckons its where i chase the rabbits but nextdoors Cats keep coming in MY garden and there not scared of me they just sit there looking at me , so i go indoors just incase i loose my temper with them !!! Dad said im a wimp but Mum dont allow me to chase cats . Well lovely little ALFIE [ diggydog] starts his treatment today i do hope he gets on ok hes had it so rough lately and DESMOND [ retiredist ] still has a sore Bum he had to have a muzzle put on him when i went to the vets they put a muzzle on me and they never had one small enough because when the old vet gave me my 1st lot of injections when mum bought me [ my last owner didnt have me done ] it took 7 attempts and i got all nasty but Mum told the vet off as she said all the years he had been a vet he should of got it right the 1st time , so we dont go when he's on duty . As you know its POPPY'S [ solitaire ] Birthday today AND DONT SHE LOOK STUNNING we are all invited round for Drinks [ i think it will be POSH ] and Tomorrow ROSIE [ susie78 ] is going to be 11 yrs old so please send her your wishes well todays treat is a Jacket Potato filled with Prawns see you tomorrow love TEDDY xxxxxxxxx

well what a time i've had again, i've never met a dog that tried to kill me before. 2 men came to the house today over the incident, mummy said they were please-men, so i tried to do my bit and please them and left a little pressie at their feet, well mummy went a strange colour and said she was mortified, what a cheek!!! worse than that though, she gets all annoyed if i leave a tiny wet patch on the carpet and today she has soaked every last inch, i don't even have a dry spot to lie on. she said she was sham-pooing, and yet i'm not allowed to poo on the carpet. i don't think i'll ever understand the strange human things. leaving you a bacon buttie tonight, love kizzie, xxx
