Hi Friend - I have been back home since Friday afternoon and as much as I had survived my week away it was good to be back. I went to check the garden first and all my buried treasures were still there. On Saturday Mummy went to pick up Millie, a golden retriever, but she assured me that it is only for one week. She is a big softie and she plays with all my toys, which is OK, just don't want her to go for my buried treasures. And today Roshie arrived, though just till tomorrow. It makes trips in the car very interesting especially when it has been raining, which guess .... yes we still have rain, though Sunday was baking hot. Still have to catch up with all the messages and details of what everyone has been up to. I did get the woofing feeling that many are moaning about the rain, there is ongoing confusion about Rodney the snail who now thinks it is Roberta (and I thought Mummy was bonkers at times - that snail is seriously more bonkers than Mummy), and of course the usual helpers with the Tesco van etc. So good to be back and hope you are well. Sending you fillet steak with mashed potatoes and Crepe Suzette for desert. Waggy tail. Hamish
Hi Duke - I have disgraced myself today. I went with Mummy to that big car park place where we go every week. Usually I have to wait years and years in the car and then she comes back with a pram full of plastic bags (thank goodness never brought back a baby so far). Well today, she was back in no time with no pram and just one tiny little plastic bag. Well I was fast asleep on the back seat and there was Mummy tapping at the window "Hamish wake up". I did not know where to put myself, I was so embarassed at getting caught! Well you know what it's like, when the humans leave us at home, of course we make a big fuss but then we just go to sleep. Then when we hear the car or the front door, we make a big show as if we had been waiting and pinning all the time (works as long as the human doesn't check how red hot the sleeping spot is). Very difficult to achieve that in a car if you are caught sleeping. Still I made up for it by being very vocal all the way back, making sure that Mummy knew that I was very alert and would spot any danger. I tell you sometimes being a dog is not at all easy! Sending you beef olives for your dinner. Waggy tail. Hamish
Hi Duke,
I am now back from my week off. All went well with my friend Roshie but I did miss the comforts of Home especially Mummy's bed. Thank you for all my treats. Sending you on this (again) wet Monday morning sausages and mashed potatoes. Waggy tail. Hamish
Hello, what can I say, how naff is this weather, I wish it would make it’s mind up!!! It is boiling hot one minute and then tipping with rain the next, mum keeps complaining that she just does not know what to wear, glad I do not have this problem!!!
Mum and Dad have been busy this week so I have not been round the lake this week, don’t know what they think they are doing but I don’t like it. They come in from work get changed and go out to the shops. Thought they would bring me something back as they often do but no nothing for me at all!!! Was a thing called a mobile for my human brother, as if he hasn’t got enough!!! He has just had his bedroom decorated, which included a new picture box thing (tv) and a great new bed; well comfy mum says it is made from memory foam. He is a bit mean however as he doesn’t let me on it often, I mean whose house does he think this is?
Mum has gone to work this morning so I had a great lie-in with dad, had loads of bed. I have heard them talking about going out this evening, that means on my own again!!! Since my brother has got older (almost 16) and he stays out later they have been going out more often, how fair is that!!??????
Well that’s enough of me moaning, hope you have a great day, leaving you with some of mums tasty spaghetti bolognaise, it is fun as the spaghetti is like worms and is all wriggle, but it is soooooo tasty, Charlie xxx. p.s mum asked if you could click on 'add to friends' as this will befriend you and it is easier to find you, thanks
Hi friend - On Thursday night, something suspicious happened. Mummy got all nicely dressed up, i.e. in not what she calls her Hamish's friendly clothes (which I MUCH PREFER by the way), gave me a hug, a couple of treats and off she went all by herself in the car. Excuse me ... what's going on ??? I really was not woofing pleased at all. That was at 7.00 and she did not come back till 11.30!! Excuse me ... what sort of time is this? But then surprise surprise Daddy was there. Which made me jump with joy, but excuse me .. why couldn't I come to the airport this time? And they gave me this very silly story about going to dinner for their anniversary. WHAT! going out to eat without me!!! Hope they don't make a habit of this! At least Mummy had the good sense to bring a 'sugar tablet' from that place called Restaurant. I obliged and ate it, but it was gone in 2 seconds so I can't tell you much about it at all, maybe it was a figment of my imagination. To make up for their disgraceful behaviour of not taking me to Restaurant, I made myself very comfortable and stretched as much as I could in the middle of the bed. They somehow managed to squeeze in. I must have a word with Mummy today because having considered the matter very seriously (well at least 10 seconds) I prefer Mummy going to the place called Supermarket rather the placed called Restaurant because she comes back with many bags from Supermarket and only one 'sugar tablet' from Restaurant. Logic therefore dictates than Supermarket is better value. Don't you agree ?
I am with Roshie next week and I don't think I'll be able to get my paws on the keyboard, so have a good week. Sending you fish pie today. Waggy Tail. Hamish
