Afternoon Filan. Hope all is well where you are. It's a lovely Autumn day here. I had a long walk this afternoon with mum and dad, and we seemed to walk for miles but I had a great time snuffling amongst all the leaves! I couldn't wait to get home though, and flop onto my bed. Hehe! I am in for the rest of the day now, so have instructed mum to visit all my friends with my daily news. Take care and treat today is home made soup and crusty bread. Afternoon Filan. Hope all is well where you are. It is freezing cold here today. Mum has said I can start wearing my new coat soon. It is bright purple and very fetching! I saw a hare on my walk this morning. It was huge, and it just stared at me, before racing away. It was very, very fast so I just let it run. It was far too fast for me to even think about chasing it! Hehe! Take care my friend, and stay warm. Treat today is a hot water bottle and a hat and scarf! Afternoon Filano. Hope all is well with you. Well, it is another beautiful Autumn day here. It is very sunny but so cold. I think I will need my coat soon! I had a great walk this afternoon. Mum fancied a change to our usual route and took me a different way. We saw lots of blackberry bushes and I just had to have a taste of some I saw lying on the grass. They were lovely! Mum called me a cheeky monkey for trying them. Well, we all have to grab the chance to try something different, don't we? Hehe! My hedgehogs are still visiting. Mum said it is getting very cold on a night now, so they need all the food they can get. She is a big softy, my mum. Dad just shakes his head every night when she wanders outside with the Kitten food for them. He says she needs help! Cheeky man! Take care my friend, and treat is some of those lovely blackberries. Afternoon Filanooooo. Hope all is well where you are. It is lovely here today. I had a long wander this morning, and off again sometime this afternoon. My park is still a mess. Tarmac went down yesterday for the skate park and B.M.X. track, but it looks terrible. Why dig up a lovely natural meadow for that is just beyond me! Mum moans whenever we go in there, which is three times a day, so that is a lot of moaning! Hehe! Hedgehogs are still there in my garden! They must be the best fed hedgehogs around!! Mum has ordered dad to construct a little feeding area for them so I cannot get to their food! As you know, I am allergic to meat, and mum feeds them Chicken Kitten food, so it would be nasty for me if I ate it! Spoilsport! No doubt he will just pile four bricks then plonk a bit of wood on top and expect mum to put the little dishes underneath! What an architect my dad is! hehehe! I had a lovely long wander this morning with mum, then she dropped me off with dad and Grandad, and off she went to take Katie and Norman for their hike. Just as well she likes walking. Afternoon Filan. Hope you are well today. It's another dull day here. The rain has stopped, at long last, so I may get out for a long hike later this afternoon - worse luck! There is so much mud around that I always come home filthy and have to be washed down! Not nice for a retriever who hates water! Hehe! Afternoon Filan. Hope you are well today. It's a very wet and very miserable day here. Mum said she has never known rain like it. It briefly stopped this morning, so off mum and I went on our hike. I was very reluctant to go as I knew we would get drenched. Sure enough, we got half way round and the rain started again. Mum and I were soaked! Everywhere is flooded, and the building work going on in my park is a total washout! There are rivers of water and mud flowing everywhere! The workmen will not be happy on Monday morning! Hehe! Hi Filan, I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan xx xx

Afternoon Filan. Hope all is well where you are. It's another lovely day here today. Mum has spent the morning washing and repairing all my cuddly toys - under my strict supervision of course. As soon as she had repaired one, I took it off her and gave it a good shake to see if it met my standards. I got a shock though, when she said it was about time some of the older ones went into the bin! How very dare she! Afternoon Filan. Hope all is well where you are today! No rain today, and I am pleased to say we have sunshine and brilliant blue skies. Certainly makes a change from all the torrential rain. I had a lovely long walk with mum this morning, and decided to chase a seagull. Well, it was making a funny noise at me and was just asking to be chased, so I had to do as I was asked, didn't I? Hehe! Spoilsport mum shouted me back, and I came running back to her looking absolutely filthy, but very happy with myself! Mum has spoken to my Nana (Katie's mum), and Katie is feeling a lot better today. She is still taking her pills, and is almost back to her normal self. She gave us all a scare, but, thankfully, the pills are working and is looking a lot happier and healthier. Take care my friend, and treat today is sausage, beans and chips.
