Have just read your info - you mustn't blame yourself. Sometimes these things happen and no one can foresee them. She was obviously a muched loved dog who was given another chance to have a happy life - YOU gave her that. You have nothing to feel guilty about. xx

I am your Angel
Though I have moved on
Where all god's people and animals go
I am there with you
But sometimes, you may not know
For I will be there in silence
I shall warm you in the night
A gentle touch to warm your soul
Or a beam of shining light
If I were a young, when I left
then I'll be a smile for you
But if older in my passing
may strength and wisdom come through
For an Angel is there with you
and you will feel the love I bring
God gives to you this gift so dear
The whisper of a song I sing

I'm so sorry for your loss of Biddy. What a lovely girl she was - and clever too (I don't know many dogs who can open the fridge with their nose). One thing you must do is stop blaming yourself for what happened. You took her in and gave her heaps of love and affection while she was with you - if she could, she would say 'thank you for looking after me so well'. It was Biddy's time to go to doggy heaven, where she undoubtedly is now, keeping an eye on you and wondering where the Crunchy Nut Cornflakes supply has got to! As well as you both, she's sure to be keeping a watchful eye on her doggy brother Murphy - who also looks like a lovely dog. My sympathies to you both, and please accept a tribute for Biddy.
You shouldn't blame yourself you gave Biddy lots of love and a good life when many people might have given up on her, you couldn't have prevented the embollism and the life you gave her is what would have mattered most to her.
Oh bless you sweet Biddy, and thanks to your mum for her tribute to my old Jodie. I hope you find her up there and let her share your crunchy nut cornflakes in doggy heaven. Tribute sent. xxxxx
