Hi Daisy, glad you are ok x strong winds, heavy rain and deep and thick mud. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I have got hairy gundogs who love walkies! I stand a good chance of getting both dogwashers elbow (like tennis elbow but doesn't require a bat!) and agedhousehunk's knee (like housemaid's knee but doesn't require a frock - well, except, perhaps, on Tuesday's!!!!) with all the cleaning (girlie dogs and house) taking place at the moment. Thank goodness for the DoggySnaps photos - they at least give me some idea of how the East European lovelies are meant to look! Thank goodness also that dobes prefers sleeping. A brief David's Dreadful Diet Report, after 10 weeks I have lost 1 stone 3lbs and now I am having a break until after Easter. As a clue as to what is on my eating agenda, sooner rather than later, in fact very much sooner, the mud babes and sleeping baldy are today delivering a tub of Haagen-Dazs icecream - dulche de leche flavour. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY. Enjoy x

Apologies to all and I promise to reply personally to all the dogs messages as soon as I'm feeling stronger, Frantastic37

Daisy, Daisy, so much to tell you! First of all, I can't treat yet so it will come later today, and it will be mushroom omelette! Two people have asked the Warden about the elderly lady crossbreed that Mum found wandering on Thursday morning - one of them saw one of Mum's posters, so we think that's a result! Last night we popped to Pip's house on the way to the park to see if he had been forgiven for leaping a 7ft fence from a standing start. He hadn't, he'd done it again! Anyhoo, Pip and I and Tilk had a mad half hour running in Pip's garden then Pip and I stood nose to nose panting until...Pip kissed me on the nose! We're engaged! Pip's Mum and my Mum have been planning the wedding, the location to be Pip's garden, I shall wear a white veil and Pip a Dicky Bow, there will be flowers (dog roses and dog daisies of course) and Jackie C will be asked to dress as a vicar with a real dog collar! The Mums shall wear proper Mother of the Bride and Groom dresses with hats and there will be a reception with loads of treats and a liver cake! There will of course be a photographer and the photos will be published (exclusively!) NOT in Heat (toooo coarse) but on Doggysnaps of course! I do so love Pip, even though he's a bit of a "bad hat" when it comes to digging and pulling up plants but I'm sure that with the love of a good woman he'll settle down (he is after all younger than me at 1). Pip's Dad is appalled, both Pip and Tilk are proper working gun dog Springers! hehe! Well, that's my news, have a good weekend! xxxMrs Pip to be

Hi Dais! Mum's having no end of trouble logging in to this site from the 'puter at home so she's pinching some work time to treat and speak with all the friends! This morning I walked out the door for my morning romp and almost went back inside! What rain! Anyhoo, George the Great Dane was on fine form so we ran and ran, George got so close he nearly knocked Mum over! Good thing she didn't move! Yesterday morning, Mum even took me through the wood on our morning romp - that's usually only for evenings but she said "what the hey" I'll be a bit late for work! Then of course she was properly late because of the elderly lady dog she found. She's going to ring the warden later to see if she's been reunited. She told me she'd like to keep her if her family isn't found but Dad's agin it because I'm so bouncy , he says it wouldn't be fair on her. Hmmm, I didn't meet her myself. On Sunday Dad wants to kayak on Wastwater with his club, but he can't see well enough to drive there so Mum's going to drive him and take ME for a walk. Hope the weather's better! Today's treat is lovely beef casserole to banish the chill! xxxLeigh

Hi Daisy! We're having a bit of trouble on the old website as our connection to our kennel keeps coming and going and we're not sure if everyone got their treats yesterday! Howmsoever...This morning we got back into the usual swing of things with a lovely morning walk and play with George the Great Dane (1 year old last Saturday!) and the Springer Spaniels and just as we were leaving the three Flatties arrived - we have a lovely doggy community in our village! Mum is back at work of course and Dad is back from York so after this I'll be just lazing on the bay windowsill keeping an eye on Dad and cooling off behind the sofa alternately! Today's treat is gravybones - eat it quickly before it starts to melt in the heat! This evening we'll be walking in the wood instead of bike running as it's cooler in there! xxxLeigh

Crikey, just tell me how to join the NUTW! I've got to get Mum to understand that taking away the nice smells and replacing them with the pine forest do-da is cruelty! xxxLeigh
