Hi Geraldine CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm sure Harvi is perfect in every way, a baby-sitter for you. I have been wondering how you are getting on................Hi there, I’m very short of time tonight so I’ve done the treats/tributes but no comments, sorry. And now the latest Woofle/woffle from Chaos Corner......... Tuesday 28th. April Hello to all my Doggysnapping friends, I’m home in Co Armagh again; just me and ‘the ole fella’, plus, of course, 10 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses and a cock Pheasant in a fir tree! The latter put in a dramatic appearance when Jessie spied him on the lawn, much barking from pheasant and Jess and a great flurry of feathers as he launched upward to land in a conifer in deep shrubbery. Molly, Jess and Lulu came with me to the little house in Co Donegal, we were very happy, all girls together! It is amazing how much, and how far plaster dust can travel in an open plan house: there is a lot to be said for DOORS! The stair gate is now permanently fixed to stop the Holy Terrors escaping and landing on our bed upstairs. I took the jeep and horsebox with a load of sawdust to bed up the stables ready for my annual exodus sometime in the summer. While I had a trailer there I went to collect the biggest, heaviest fenceposts ever from a tiny sawmill. This is a one-man-operation, the sawmill has been in his family for generations, originally it was a water-powered mill. It is situated down a very narrow track flanked by lichen-covered newly budding trees and carpeted with bluebells; when there is no machinery running all one can hear is birdsong and the sound of the stream burbling along. This is a truly magical location, it has the sense of being in another world. Loading the fence posts soon brought me back to earth though! Fortunately Robert was there to give me a hand, well, I encouraged him while he did the lifting!! All visitors have now departed and all washing/ironing is finished, a mammoth job. Our next visitor is expected in May when he arrives from New Jersey; Fred arrives to attend ‘The Irish Railtour’: this is a mainline steam extravaganza, where the worst thing that can happen is the bar runs out of Guinness! This year it is a trip to Galway on the West coast; never will there be seen so many men equipped with cameras and tripods all wearing some form of an anorak! Lulu is having a phantom pregnancy and has to go onto Galastop when I get it from the vet.’s later this afternoon; we are having her spayed whenever the milk has dried up. This afternoon we are bringing the two horses home from their field which now resembles a muddy, rotavated hillside; those two are equine locusts! I am hoping the farrier will be here later to trim their feet before they are off to pastures new. As I type this Malcolm is preparing lunch for his mother and the dogs are beginning to gather by the kitchen door in hopeful anticipation of tearing down to her bungalow and there being rewarded with a biscuit: at these times it is Bedlam living here! I hope the pheasant is up in the trees...................... I hope all of you are well and the dogs are keeping you on your toes! Kind Regards, wags and woofs, Lynda and The Gang at Chaos Corner

Keep Harvi on one arm and the baby on the other............ no problem! My GP arrived to find me in bed with new son and very special dog, his comment was 'If new mothers all continued to have the dog/s in as usual there would be no problems'. i took advice and the baby was guarded really well at all times. Wishing you all all the best for March......... here's the latest........... The latest acquisition is a beautiful bitch. She is a gingery colour with a black mask and ears. She was found in the cold weather before Christmas huddled under a hedge, I think she had given up. The lady who found her is phoning me daily to know how she is getting on and visited yesterday afternoon to inspect her progress. She has gained 5 pounds![ The dog, not Shiela!!!] The dog warden took her for the statutory 5 days, then she went to a dog sanctuary. I heard about her on the Jungle Telephone and went to see her. I just could not leave her there; she had to be dragged out, the only time she left her bed was to eat. The owners had flu and were hardly coping. I have never seen a dog so depressed - I risked another divorce when she arrived home. A friend lent me her Whippet x's old jumper, it was too short but better than nothing. She had a week of peace and quiet bedded up next to the boiler in our basement. I made her an outside coat [ curtain lining, duvet filling and cotton drill and quilted it like a Husky jacket, fastened with a clip off an old summer sheet and elastic and fittings from an old surcingle] but it is not great to lie about in. She went to be beautified and had two shampoos to get rid of the flea eggs left after the ‘Frontline’ treatment She was very brave with the hairdrier! I borrowed a crate and brought her into the kitchen/dining room after a week : the other dogs are interested but very good so far. I have 10 dogs now........ + one more at present that was found wandering on the main road on Christmas Day [ a stunning silver brindle Lurcher] I have now found out to whom she belongs and hope to track them down tonight. We have: ....... 1 elderly Whippet [off the street] 2 Whippets from the same litter [bred over the road,,Whippet yearlings], 4 Whippet x Greyhound X terrier somethings ! [our own pups- couldn't let any of them go in case they went to a bad home ! ] Whippet x rough coat small Lurcher [Rescue, from foster care] and the best of the lot Molly, either Wolfhound or Deerhound x Greyhound who is another rescue who refused to die: the vet. injected her 3 times and she would not die. The owner of the kennel heard the screams and ordered him off the premises [dog warden vet]. She phoned me....... the rest is history. This new bitch will never go any further, I expect she will sleep at the side of our bed in time with Molly. The chilly Whips stay by the Aga. P.S. January 8th Jessie spent a very comfortable night in a big fur-lined basket at the side of our bed.
