Some dogs,of course,are better than others. Dalmatians,naturally,as everyone knows,are best. Eugene O'Neill

Hi how are you today. It’s lovely and sunny here so Mum had to drag us from our sunny spot in the garden to come type our messages!!! Well the news is that Mum had quite an adventure when she took us for our walkies yesterday. We were walking in the cow camp as Mum likes to walk there as the grass is short and easier to manage than on the other side of the fence where the veld grass is thick and long. Anyway there were a few cows close by [now these cows are young heifers and most of them are quite small still but there are a couple of bigger ones] and one of the bigger ones came charging at Mum……well all Mum could think of was to charge back at it to give it a fright. So there she was charging back at it waving our leads at it… fortunately the cow ran back, but it then decided to repeat the performance..so of-course Mum had to repeat the performance too!![wow to get this on video tape would be quite something] Well after that the cow left her alone but Mum decided it was best to walk on the OTHER side of the fence and battle with the long grass. Mum said to me [Scoop] ‘Why didn’t you keep the cow at bay like your breed is supposed to!!’ Well the cheek of it!!!! Yes I know we ridgebacks were originally bred to keep lions at bay but this was a COW for goodness sake..and if you remember the very first time I SAW a cow I WANTED to chase it but Mum told me NOT to…what does the woman want…first I mustn’t then I must!!!! Oooi what must a dog do!!! Well treats today are extra dog-leads to keep the cows at bay!!! Hehehehee!! Loves and licks Michaela, Pippa and Scoop xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
