****THE GROOM’S SPEECH****
Before I begin I would like us to toast all of our beautiful departed friends, who I know will be looking down and sharing this day with us from Rainbow Bridge. We love and miss you all dearly and wish you could have been right here with us in Bermuda. Also to our friends that couldn’t make it for a number of reasons - please raise your glasses “TO ABSENT FRIENDS”
The first thing I must say is, I am sure you will all agree that my darling Fluffy is the most stunningly beautiful bride. When I laid eyes on her under the funny tree, my heart did somersaults and dances and skipped a few beats. It is a moment I will cherish forever along with many other cherished moments we’ve had and still have to come. My darling thank you for making me the happiest boy in the world. I will spend my life trying to make you as happy as you have made me.
On behalf of my wife and I, I would like to thank Father Ted for such a beautiful service, it was perfect. And your first time too. I knew you would do us proud buddy. I am sure you will all agree that he makes a fine vicar and I think Teddy, that you will be getting many more bookings coming your way very soon.
Thank you to Mr Ben for consenting to give Fluffy away today. I know it was a hard thing to do because you have been her friend and protector for so long. You were her first friend on DS and you looked after her and helped her and I am sure you always will. For that, I will be eternally grateful. I promise you wholeheartedly that I will love and cherish Fluffy forever and I will protect her with my life. (ooh and I’ll only leave petals and chocolates on her pillow hehehehee)
A big thank you to my best mate and best man Maxy for looking after me at the stag weekend, and last night, and made sure I was still in one piece for today (Fluffy is so relieved and grateful). You did a great job today buddy, no one could have done it better. Great speech. Cheers. Guinness on me later buddy.
Thank you to our ushers and sons, Jeddy B (as he is now known), Ash and Marley you have done a wonderful job today and have kept all of our guests very happy. I must also say, what handsome boys you are, and we are so proud of you.
Thank you to our beautiful bridesmaids Jenny and Shadow. I am sure you all agree, they really do look beautiful. I know girls that you have worked really hard in the weeks leading up to the wedding and have helped Fluffy with the arrangements so much. I don’t think we could have done it without you.
A big thank you to our little flower girls/grandpuppies Jinx, Buffy, Pepsi and our newest little grandpup Kizzie, and to our pageboys Frankie and Dinky (our grandpuppies) and to Burrendah and Jarrah the koalas rescued from Heathrow Airport, who Fluffy and I officially adopted when we got engaged. You all did a wonderful job today and you all look so gorgeous. Fluffy and I are so proud of you all. Little Kizzie you did so well to not eat the flowers, we know how hard it was to resist. You can eat them now if you like.
Thank you to Ella and Apollo for pulling the carriage. You both look absolutely wonderful and did a fantastic job. I saw you both chatting away afterwards I and must say you look great together. Could we have a budding romance here? Equestrian wedding bells in the future and maybe the clipperty of little hooves one day. That would be lovely.
Last but certainly not least a big big thank you to everyone here for sharing in our special day. Especially as all of you had to travel such a long way. You all accepted that without question and are still here with us, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. The resort is open to you all tonight and for tomorrow Fluffy and I have laid on a glass bottom boat trip as a thank you for being here with us. (Fluffy’s idea, isn’t she wonderful?)
Well the bar is open, the food is laid out and the music is ready to play. Enjoy the celebrations everyone. LETS PARTY. CHEERS. Fluffy may I have the first dance.
Hey guys, how are you all? Great I hope. Hope you have had a great weekend. Mummy, daddy and sis went to visit Mr Magoo yesterday. They said he was gorgeous, and quite a celebrity there (tho he didn't let it go to his head) I have been looking after mummy today cos she is feeling poorly, but with lots of licks and snuggles I am sure she will be right in no time. Sending your all canellonil, take care, big wags and woofs, love Sam
Hey Guys, Hope you are having a great day. I am really excited this morning. Mum has just sent off an application, for me to be a therapy dog. That would be sooooo cool. I think I would be really good at it, cos I am friendly, and calm and loyal, and love to make people happy. Mis sis is going to apply to be a junior member too, so that we can go visiting together. It takes a while to process the application but it will be with it when I put lots of smiles on peoples faces :) :) :) - well poor sis is poorly again. She spent the morning hueying in the bathroom. I have been keeping her company and trying to cheer her up cos I love her sooooo much and hate to see her poorly and sad. I am going to get dad to give me an extra big brush later ready for the wedding tomorrow. He can then just give me a top up in the morning. I have had trouble finding the right wedding outfit so I have decided on a nice fancy collar with some gems in, I think. Well I am sending a nice big juicy angus steak and a pint of guinness to wash it down. I figured with the big day tomorrow we all need lots of energy. If guinness is not your thing I am also sending a selection of beverages for you to choose from. Take care, big wags and woofs, love Sam
Hope you had a good weekend. Mum was busy looking after the bald puppy that stays
sometimes, she’s cute but boy she takes a lot of attention from Karla and I. Leaving you a treat from Me, Karla & Mum x x
Hey guys. Hope you are all having a great day. How is your mum's paw. I hope it is feeling better soon. Its such a shame that you cant all go out together. Tell your mum to be careful walking out in the snow if you having any. Would hate her to fall on her arm and make it worse. Well this is a quick one. Sending you all roast chicken and veg. Big wags and woofs, love Sam
What a funny weekend, most of it spent without electricity, no sooner it was fixed than it was off again. Poor mum barely got time to cook dinner never mind go on the computer for me. Never mind the good news is New sis Karla is coming on in leaps and bounds and now plays nicely with Tumnus & I. It’s fun now she’s being more careful and not hurting me all the time. Well that’s the news for now, leaving you a treat. Me, Karla & Mum x x
It’s actually stopped raining and the water has gone down, at last mum managed to get out of the village to get some treats for us, so I thought I’d share and leave a treat for you sweetie, from Me, Karla & Mum x x
Hi Billy, DDDD23 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 23). Weigh day yesterday and I have now lost 9lbs. Yippee, had a glass of red wine last night to celebrate and, being the first alcohol since New Year's Eve, it had a quite excellent effect! I continue on with less food, no booze and lots of exercise and will soon have to step over the cracks in the pavement to avoid falling down them (yeah right!)........ The dogs are all healthy, he said touching wood, so we have got another POO story. On a walk yesterday the girls got into a wrestling match which ended, as always, with Sarika, a nominee for Ladyee of the month (votes by pm in BoviBoy kennel x) knocking Purdey over. But guess what she rolled Purdey over in, yes that's right an animal's dinner - but sadly after it had been a)consumed and b)recycled. YUK YUK YUK AND MORE YUKS!....... It was one of those walks home which were very slow, partly to avoid seeing anyone but mainly to give Mrs Davidmh the chance to get home from the stables and then I could say that I had a MANFLU relapse coming on and needed to go to bed and would she mind giving Purdelicious a little clean.........TeeeHeee. Well that plan failed because she was late so I had to do it myself and what a clean up job it was, I can still smell the smell now. EVEN MORE YUKS. Today's virtual treats are therefore with the humans in mind - the girls and doberdog are dropping off a "just in case it happens to you" treat - either a noseclip or a cold (your human's choice) and, as part of my celebration, I am dropping off the remainder of the red wine. Have fun x
It’s really wet around here, the roads in our area are flooded so we cant even get out of the bottom of our street so there is no hope we can get out of the village. Hope you are all safe and dry. Paws crossed it stops soon. Here is a treat for you sweetie, from Me, Karla & Mum x x
Hi Billy, just popped over to say hello and let the girls and doberdog drop off a treat. PS Please don't forget that her gorgeousness Sarika needs lots of votes (via the private message facility in BoviBoy kennel) if she is to become HumanSnaps Laydee of the month for February. Thanks x.
