Hi Rafi. It was the Hearing Dogs summer fayre on sunday, and I know "someone" must have put the order in for the glorious sun we were blessed with! :) There were so many people there, many with dogs, some not. I didn't know what to do first when we arrived, roll round in all the new meadow smells or say "hi" to all the dogs and their humans! Mum paid for two balloons to be put in a race in our names, so if I win I get £30 of John Lewis vouchers! I wonder what sort of things he has in his shop...... Are they tasty to you think? Today is also sunny, but Mum says she is still recovering from yesterday... She's a bit red in places too... forgot to make sure she had some sun cream! But thankfully there were plenty of shady areas which I helped her find (can't take the sun too much myself, though I do love it). Human sis and her friend enjoyed it too, won some things as well as buying things too. All good, lots of money to help more dogs like me. :) My old trainer found me too! I was so happy to see her. She did come to my new home about a year after I came home, and I wasn't "really" sure who she was then.... But seeing her at the centre it all clicked into place! I remembered! I think I recognised some of the other Hearing Dogs too..... Mum wondered if we were all in training together. We also met up with Leigh (Lisahorry) which was great. TV vet Joe Inglis was there selling his own dog food and treats. So I am dropping them round as we visit kennels. Big hugs. Liffey. xxxx

Hi Rafi. Hope you are well. Mum now knows what I would look like if I were a chocolate dog! I found a really filthy muddle (muddy puddle) the other day and thoroughly indulged! :D It was really sticky mud too, so she had no option but to put me in the shower and bath me. This was a new thing, we got rid of our bath last summer. Now we have a big shower instead. It went better than she expected, and of course, when I shook, it was mainly contained inside the cubicle. Only thing was, as she reached up to change the angle of the shower the water ran along her arm and into her sleeve! Ha ha! (Why should I be the only one to get wet!) She also used an old icecream carton, which she filled and sploshed on the bits the shower couldn't reach. I went in black, and came out beautiful! Well worth the effort I made...(!) Have a great weekend, don't over-indulge! Here's some dog friendly chocolate for you. Hugs. Liffey. xxx

Hi Rafi. How you doing? It's brilliant weather here! Really sunny, deep blue sky. Went for my walk/run this morning, and again went into the river for a soak twice! Makes mum feel chilly! :D But when I get out and bring the ball back to her, running, she can see the steam coming off me. So she knows how I can stand going into the chilly water. Now I am chilling out after playing with my treat toy. Here's some treats for you, and a hug. Liffey. xx

Hi Rafi, I hope you were OK last night. I didn't like the fireworks, spent the evening in front of mum's armchair under her legs, she offered for me to get on her lap but it's something I just "don't do"..... So mum doesn't keep asking. I prefer it under/behind her legs, I do the same on the trains too. :) But I only got shaky when those big ones went off, the ones that go BANG,BANG,BANG and lots of flashes. Mum said she was so pleased with me, coz I didn't get too bad. Indi, my cat sister, was good too. After our first few minutes walking round looking worried, mum got me settled behind her legs, and Indi on her bed at the back of the settee. We were both OK then. This morning mum took me to our local church up the road, they had a pet service and asked her to tell them about how she met me, and what I do to help her. They had all heard of Guide Dogs, but not Hearing Dogs. They were impressed when she said I don't wake her when dad's alarm goes off (at 5.30am!!) but that I do when her's goes off. :D It was a nice walk there and back, fresh and sunny. Well, here's some roast lamb with stuffing for you. Hugs. Liffey. xxx

Hey Rafi, good to hear from you pal! I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment, you know how I thought I'd pulled a muscle in my right back leg a few weeks ago, well I started limping on my left back leg on Saturday, so mum and dad took me to the vets on Sunday, and it wasn't good news. The vet thinks I've got damaged crucia ligaments in BOTH of my back knees, so I've got to go to an orthopedic specialist next week for a consultation, x-rays then I'll probably have to have surgery on them both, one at a time. If they dont operate I'll get artheritus in them in a couple of years and wont be able to walk at all, so mums been very upset the past couple of days. I'm on pain killers and anti-inflamatry tablets until my appointment, but I'm still getting about! Sending you my big raw-hide bone to share, mums been spoiling me rotten, Love & Licks Biggie xx
