Hi Jack, it's abit cooler here today, so sorry we havn't visited for a while but we have been worried about our dog Bally as she has been losing weight, if you want to read all about it look in the forums in the health section and then Bally has been losing weight. Hope you are not suffering from the heat too much, apart from that there is no news. Steak and chips is your treat today xxx

Hi Jack, hope you are well. We are back from our holiday in Lincolnshire and we all had a very good time, we will add some photos soon, the dogs especially enjoyed Skegness beach all that sand as it's just pebbles were we are and it was dog friendly. Now for the news on Jacks x-ray, the vet said he has a torn ligament or something in his knee and scar tissue so it wont get any better (not sure what it all means can anyone explain) and he also has artheritis in his hips so he is now on metacam for the rest of his life as it keeps the inflamation down and so relives the pain. Bubble and squeak is your treat for today xxx

Hi Jack hope you are well. Jack has to go and have an xray on his leg on wednesday 18th as it's still bothering him, it can be ok for a month or so and then he starts suffering again, it all started when he was playing ball and twisted it, poor old Jack. Then on the 20th we are going on holiday to Lincolnshire for a week with the dogs as well so don't know when i will be able to visit again, mums mum is coming to cat and house sit whilst we are all away, I will update you on all the news soon after we return. Leaving you tripe on toast xxx

Hi Jack, how are you, soon to be numb gum David here today. I managed to break a front tooth vertically again yesterday, it serves me right for eating broken biscuit cake straight from the fridge (I blame she who has just got back from university, I hid the cake so she wouldn't pinch it!). "That is a very crunchy biscuit" I thought until I found the gap in my tooth. I am temporarily being referred to as FANG but at least my soon-to be visited dentist is beautiful. All is well here otherwise, glorious weather and all the doggies are enjoying life. As a treat we are sending over a bit of broken biscuit cake (if you find any very crunchy bits perhaps you could let me have them back) x

Hi Jack, there was a large beetle in the house. Well this was meant to be HOORAY it is good news (and a piece of sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce) but now it is HOORAY it is good news (and a piece of sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce).............. and OH NO it is bad news. The good news is that the enormous beetle has gone. The tape of Heather Mills worked like a dream, it frightened the living daylights out the beetle which was last seen heading for Heathrow, almost closely followed by us lot, the tape WAS very scary. So we were all very pleased and kissing and cuddling AND then we saw THE SPIDER! I wouldn't say the spider is big but think about the size of a saucer (a proper saucer not one of those poncy demitasse numbers) and add a bit, quite a LARGE bit. We tried the Lady McCartney tape and the Mick Jagger photograph and it was not moved, in fact it didn't move at all. What do we do now, we are all very hungry and in various stages of crossleggedness back behind this bloody sofa? If you cannot get David Attenborough at the very least is there any chance of a bucket, ideally empty?!!!!!!!! x

Hi there my friend, first of all we would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for Bally as June's Laydee of the Month, as you know she won and is so happy. Also the paddling pool has arrived so please look at the new photos, there is one in Bally's kennel and one in Jack's, unfortunaly it wasn't a huge success which was surprising as they both love the sea, ponds and lakes and Bally just loves laying in those muddy muddles, but all they did was stand in it (maybe the water was to clean for them) never mind. Todays treat is chicken and chips xxx

HiJack, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x

Hi Jack, how are you? Getting older has simply nothing to recommend it, I realised that this morning when I was looking for my glasses. I knew that, being as blind as the proverbial bat, I had absolutely no hope of finding them unless I was actually wearing them, if you SEE what I mean. And I will not mention the senile moments which seem to come now with increasing frequency - did I shut the door? which door? why did I go upstairs? what was that I said I wouldn't forget? And the worrying thing is that I still have the male menopause to come!!!! Anyway, at least the doggies are all flourishing, the girlie gundogs spark each other off and seem to be in a permanent state of puppydom and it is wonderful and long may it last. And although Dobes is obviously beginning to feel his age and is sleeping most of the time, he remains a happy little chap. And none of them have to wear spectacles, the lucky sods. Today the threesome are delivering a bird's feather found by Purdey on our walk, a hair tie (Sarika's favourite toy, she loves it put on her nose) and a duvet (slightly used) from Max...oh yes, and an empty spectacle case. Have fun x

Hi Jack, how are you? We had a lot of rain here over the weekend and the tracks turned into muddy streams. Now I was never a Boy Scout but I remember their motto "Be Prepared", so I have decided it is time to build a boat, just in case we get more floods. I was going to call it an ARK but then I thought "No er, someone has already done that". So I have decided to call it a BARK. Not BARK as in sailing ship but BARK as in WOOF. In fact, on reflection, I shall call it a WOOF.... DAVID'S WOOF.......that has got a nice ring about it, don't you think? Anyway, it is for doggies only so let me know if you would like to reserve a place on DAVID'S WOOF, reasonable rates. On Sunday I made some thai fishcakes which were yummy so the girls, doberdog and I are sending some more over, this time with sweet chilli sauce. Got to go now because there are people at the door, OO ER it is the men in white coats!! Have fun x
