Hey there! Just popping by quickly to leave you a couple Winalot shapes & to inform you that Mum should be putting some new photos up of us in the next day or two - including the ‘famous’ bath project!! Keep your beady eyes open for them. We’ve been on two walks today & are all knackered! Lottie hasn’t moved since we got in! Have a lovely day & enjoy the shapes. Waggs & Woofs; Breeze ♥ Tess ♥ Lottie ♥
Hello. It‘s me, Tess! Sorry we haven’t been for a visit recently - Mum has been busy with work & other “human stuff”. The weather has been really odd the last few days. Mum said it rained cats & dogs yesterday. We all sat by the window but we gave up in the end; we didn’t see any animals flying out the sky! What a disappointment. Due to the weather we haven’t been able to go to the beach but we have had a trot down to the corner shop. We like going there & it’s just enough for Lottie to cope with now she’s getting old & arthritic. Breeze also loves the walk but when Mum leaves him outside, he cries & cries. I keep telling him he’s a man & to behave like one … to no anvil of course! He’s such a baby! We hope that you’re well & hope that you have a great weekend. We’ve left you a couple toys, a bone & a couple of soft treats for over the weekend.
Enjoy! Waggs & Woofs; Tess ♥ -- Breeze & Lottie send their licks as well ♥ ♥
Hello, Lottie here. We ended up having our baths in the end. Breeze warned me! So when I heard the bath running I tried to run downstairs. Unfortunately, Daddy caught me before I got a chance to hide. I hate baths! But on the plus side, I do smell a lot fresher. It was Breeze’s first bath so he stupidly walked into the bathroom when he was called - he didn’t know what he was in for! He got quite a shock but he coped very well considering he doesn’t like water.
The weather has been horrible the past two or three days. The wind has been howling & the rain has been non-stop so we haven’t been to the beach or on any walks the past few days. When Mummy lets me out in the garden to go to toilet I get all daft - the wind makes me silly sometimes! I think it’s because it tickles me when it blows my fur up.
I hope you’ve had a good weekend. We’ve left you some bacon & sausages; hope you enjoy them. Waggs & Woofs; Lottie ♥ -- Breeze & Tess send their licks as well ♥ ♥
Hey! It’s me Breeze here. I’ve been sat in the conservatory all day because it’s really warm in there. Unfortunately, it’s too windy to sit outside -- & those humans call this “Summer; The season of sun” …
I heard Mum muttering something about a bath tomorrow. I hoped that I was just dreaming (more like a nightmare!) but I think I spotted a bottle of dog deodorant shampoo on the kitchen table this evening! It’s just as well I’m eye level with the table; it means I can alert the others! I don’t know why she picked deodorant shampoo though! I don’t pong too much. Well, only when I eat too many bones … but that’s a different story.
I hope that you’ve had a good day & a good weekend to follow.
We’ve left you a treat to enjoy.
Waggs & Woofs; Breeze ♥ -- Lottie & Tess send their licks as well ♥ ♥
Hi Dinky, how are you, soon to be numb gum David here today. I managed to break a front tooth vertically again yesterday, it serves me right for eating broken biscuit cake straight from the fridge (I blame she who has just got back from university, I hid the cake so she wouldn't pinch it!). "That is a very crunchy biscuit" I thought until I found the gap in my tooth. I am temporarily being referred to as FANG but at least my soon-to be visited dentist is beautiful. All is well here otherwise, glorious weather and all the doggies are enjoying life. As a treat we are sending over a bit of broken biscuit cake (if you find any very crunchy bits perhaps you could let me have them back) x
Hello my friend, it is so good to see you, how are you? we have come for a visit, and we have some chicken treats for you. have a good day. love Tess & Buster ♥♥♥
Hi Dinky, our gorgeous Purdey the Poomonster is TWO years old today, a grown up lady now. Sarika and Max are therefore dropping off some birthday cake and a bottle of pop for you. Enjoy x
Hi Dinky, this is a quick visit before we go walkies as the weather is changing, blast. Just when I was getting used to dry and clean (the dogs) and a suntan (mine). So it is away with the suntan lotion (mine) and out again with the wellies (mine) and the towels and wash basin (dogs). Typical. To cheer myself up I made another vodka and orange trifle (hic!) because it went (hic) down very well (hic) before and the girls and dobes are dropping off some of that as well as a tennis ball (from Sarika), an empty bird's egg (from Purdey) and some zzzzzzs (from Max). Have fun x
Hi Dinky, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Dinky, how are you? Getting older has simply nothing to recommend it, I realised that this morning when I was looking for my glasses. I knew that, being as blind as the proverbial bat, I had absolutely no hope of finding them unless I was actually wearing them, if you SEE what I mean. And I will not mention the senile moments which seem to come now with increasing frequency - did I shut the door? which door? why did I go upstairs? what was that I said I wouldn't forget? And the worrying thing is that I still have the male menopause to come!!!! Anyway, at least the doggies are all flourishing, the girlie gundogs spark each other off and seem to be in a permanent state of puppydom and it is wonderful and long may it last. And although Dobes is obviously beginning to feel his age and is sleeping most of the time, he remains a happy little chap. And none of them have to wear spectacles, the lucky sods. Today the threesome are delivering a bird's feather found by Purdey on our walk, a hair tie (Sarika's favourite toy, she loves it put on her nose) and a duvet (slightly used) from Max...oh yes, and an empty spectacle case. Have fun x
Hi Dinky, my broadband crashed yesterday when trying to visit kennels so here we are today, how are you? We had a lot of rain here over the weekend and the tracks turned into muddy streams. Now I was never a Boy Scout but I remember their motto "Be Prepared", so I have decided it is time to build a boat, just in case we get more floods. I was going to call it an ARK but then I thought "No er, someone has already done that". So I have decided to call it a BARK. Not BARK as in sailing ship but BARK as in WOOF. In fact, on reflection, I shall call it a WOOF.... DAVID'S WOOF.......that has got a nice ring about it, don't you think? Anyway, it is for doggies only so let me know if you would like to reserve a place on DAVID'S WOOF, reasonable rates. On Sunday I made some thai fishcakes which were yummy so the girls, doberdog and I are sending some more over, this time with sweet chilli sauce. Got to go now because there are people at the door, OO ER it is the men in white coats!! Have fun x
Hi Dinky..."here we are again, happy as can be".......AND this time we really are. Claws and paws have healed and tummy upsets seem to have dried up so the doggies are fit and well, (Max is still doing his Rip Van Winkle impression but I think that has something to do with his age ZZZZZ!). However I HAVE decided to keep my nurses uniform on, just in case (TEE HEE). Had a wonderful walk with the girlies yesterday in a nearby forest (Bramshill, home of the police college), weather was fabulous although very windy (my fault for having baked beans on the baked potato), tracks were great, lakes were full and numerous things were chaseable (I got quite out of breath at one stage!) - it was such fun that none of us wanted to come home. I REALLY LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR. Anyway enough of that, today we are sending you a full English breakfast (because I fancy one), another bottle of New Zealand sauvignon (the last one went down very well!) and, of course, our very best wishes to you and yours. Have fun x
Hi Dinky, how are you? I hoped that spring had sprung, if it has I think it has now sprung back into its box because it has been icy cold here. And talking of spring, Sarika did a somersault/back flip yesterday, I shall call it a "Purdey" which is also a bit of a clue as to the outcome. She was chasing a tennis ball which bounced over her head, in her excitement she leapt in the air and did a back flip after the ball .........and landed straight in something disgusting. I think that it had previously "belonged" to a deer or a badger! Sarika was mortified, she is after all a LADY and so was I, because, somehow or other, I ended up with some of it on me. I am simply not articulate enough to describe the awfulness of the stench, not without using a fair number of swearwords anyway. Ugh..Ugh..and treble Ugh!!! Thank goodness for tomato puree (Sarika) and anti bacterial handwash (me)and the washing machine (my clothes). And Purdey clearly smiled when she saw what had happened to both Her Majesty and me (her slave), she was also quite clearly trying to work out how to get some of the pong by rolling on Sarika and/or me. Today's treat therefore is an absolute essential now, a non-bouncing tennis ball. And I am off to check my hands again. Have fun x
Hi Dinky, helloooo and how are you? It is that time again. That time when Sarika meets her absolute bestest friends in the whole world (any human upon whom we chance), where she finds things to chase and perhaps even has a game of tennis (sort of). It is that time when Purdey meets her absolute bestest friends in the whole world (any dog upon whom we chance) and finds wonderful things, particulary recycled animal dinners, to roll in and, even better, finds her favourite snack - rabbit poo. It is that time when Max goes on a sniffathon. And it is that time when I, David, burn off a few calories, take a few pics, shout "no" quite a few times and maybe see that very nice blonde lady with the yellow lab! Yes indeedy, it is time for W-A-L-K-I-E-S. So before we go we are dropping off a piece of smoked salmon and a Cadbury cream egg - I know Easter is over but I just found a box I hid and I must not eat them all. See you later x
