Hello, remember us? We have told Mum she has to get her act together and get back on D.S. toot sweet. We have got some smashing pals we've met on here and we don't want to lose them. So here we are again. General news at the moment. I'm ( kc ) starting my Gold Citizen Award training next week, Mums in such a state, thinks she'll let me down. She's been taking me to a different pub every Sat lunch time, only for an hour, with her sister, just to help me relax more in strange company, well thats what she says, can't understand it, whenever they go up to that wooden wall thingy they come back with drinks, must be a well or something up there. All the same I am enjoying it, get loads of fuss made of me. Skip is very dodgy on his legs now, can't walk very far or fast, no surprise last week when a snail overtook him, he, he, sorry Skip, we'll wait for you. He can still manage to get on the settee with Dad in the evenings. Colleen......much about the same, very calm, confident and laid back, nothing phases her. Oh nearly forgot, I got best in show a couple of weeks ago, usual comments, did the judge forget his glasses, was you the only entrant, how much did Mum pay him. Just ignore them, I won fair and square, came home with 4 rosettes, 2 picture frames, loads of treats and 11 tennis balls. Love to you all, from KC Skip & Leanie.xxx
Hiya Bertie, how are you today? guess what on sunday we went to our local rspca dog show and Jack came 5th in the best veteran class for dogs aged 10 and over, just look at him with his rosette on, we also entered him in the most handsome dog class but he didn't come anywhere which he was upset about because he said he won Hunk of the Month in April so how could he not get anywhere but he soon cheered up when I gave him a biscuit and Bally was entered in the prettiest bitch class but also came nowhere and she won June's Laydee of the Month, I mean do these judges have no taste. But it was a brilliant day we all had fun, so many lovely dogs and the weather even stayed nice for us as well and of course the dogs also found lots of food to eat that all the humans had dropped, we didn't see any yellow doggysnaps badges though, wonder if many members actually have one, we don't but will try and get one soon. Bread and butter pudding and custard today xxx
Hi Bertie, well we had a great walk yesterday evening. Well, to be precise, it was great until the moment when I attached Purdey's lead. You see I hadn't noticed that she had rolled in something and I am actually not sure, on reflection, whether I noticed before or after the deer's breakfast was on my hand. And did it pong, you ask? Well, it took five washes in soapy water and treatment with tomato sauce (useless) and tomato puree (much better) to get rid of the stink....and that was just from my hand! Purdey, the gorgeous little sod, required more drastic treatment and is now, thanks to the tomato puree, a RED Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer. Sarika looked on with regal disdain at the chaos and also increased her human vocabulary somewhat, doberdog was, yes that is right, sleeping. Today we thought we had better send over some dog friendly bleach so that, if you are lucky enough to find and roll in some deer poo, you can be restored to your former glory without changing colour. Have fun x
Hi Bertie, a quick visit today because we are off to Dorset again on our search for the salmon (we found a 10 pounder last week). We've hardly been able to get on here this week because of the technical problems, took five attempts to get into my kennel today and then there are the problems with the "fetch" function. Oh dear. Anway, the ladies and dobes are all fit and well and having fun. Today we are delivering some steak for all the doggies and some very necessary "chill pills" for the humans just in case they are having as much trouble with the site as we are. Back soon x
Hi Bertie, how are you, soon to be numb gum David here today. I managed to break a front tooth vertically again yesterday, it serves me right for eating broken biscuit cake straight from the fridge (I blame she who has just got back from university, I hid the cake so she wouldn't pinch it!). "That is a very crunchy biscuit" I thought until I found the gap in my tooth. I am temporarily being referred to as FANG but at least my soon-to-be visited dentist is beautiful. All is well here otherwise, glorious weather and all the doggies are enjoying life. As a treat we are sending over a bit of broken biscuit cake (if you find any very crunchy bits perhaps you could let me have them back) x
Goooood Afternoon , its a beautiful day here , mum's going around the house washing & cleaning everything Im just following Im partial to pinching socks Hehehe . Hope you have a great day whatever you do , love to you & your family Jeddy B x Sending you some Markies xxx
Hi there my friend, first of all we would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for Bally as June's Laydee of the Month, as you know she won and is so happy. Also the paddling pool has arrived so please look at the new photos, there is one in Bally's kennel and one in Jack's, unfortunaly it wasn't a huge success which was surprising as they both love the sea, ponds and lakes and Bally just loves laying in those muddy muddles, but all they did was stand in it (maybe the water was to clean for them) never mind. Todays treat is chicken and chips xxx
Hi there, hope you are well, our silly mummy has gone and caught a cold but luckily daddy has had this week off work, mummy better get well soon or she won't feel like walking us and that would be just horrible. They have ordered a paddling pool for us though and wish it would hurry up and come so we can get in it. Leaving you some chicken soup today xxx PS if you want to vote for Bally please remember voting ends on sunday at 5PM 25th May, thank you.
