how i met my owner(s)
I was running free around Wokingham District, minding my own business, when a scary woman and a scared looking police officer cornered me in a field. She tricked me with a tin of meat and then looped something round my neck. I tried lunging at her but the lead wouldn't bend. She got me in a van and took me to a little farm with lots of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens etc. I didn't know it at the time, but my new owner came to greet me at the gate. She followed us down the path to the kennels where I hid for a couple of days. She kept opening the back door of my kennel and sitting on the floor outside. After a while I decided to take a chance and go say hello. What's the worst that could happen? She didn't try anything so I let her touch me, stroke me, put on a lead and take me out for some gentle exercise. Our friendship grew from there and after a year at the farm I was allowed to move into her home.

I had a good life. Sometimes there were tears and tantrums, but I was always fed and walked and give.....

glad to hear you got addopted by a new owner who gave you the best life you could possibly have.i am thinking of you and Sophie is sitting at the computer now next to me looking very sympathetic and she wishes you the best with Kiefer.Nala is a gorgous dog and i am so happy that the last few years of her life made up for the loss of her first few.please accept a tribute with all my luv.

Thank you all for your sympathies, it's been almost six months and I don't know how I've made it here without her. Nala was my strength and I miss her terribly but Kiefer needs me now and I know Nala is watching over us both. Kathryn
