Hi Maggie, you seem to have the same knack as I have for attracting trouble. I used to be badly behaved and not do that training lark and then they introduced some new things into my life: Cows and sheep. They are hard work, and it took me ages not to bark at them and to only move when I'm told to, yet I find it great fun. However when it's play time I can't get out fast enough. Leaving you a nice sausage in batter from the chip shop, I seem to get these so I leave the humans to eat their fish and chips in peace. Meggsy.
Hi Maggie, a quick visit today because I have two girlie gundogs standing by the front door with their "it is time to go and meet and greet, hunt, chase, sniff and roll in" faces on ie it is WALKIES time. I am also about to churn some more ice cream (chocolate and chilli?). Heaven knows what my cholesterol level is...... and if I carry on eating the ice cream I will probably be able to ask St Peter when I get to The Gates and find out!!!!! (Assuming, of course that I am going in THAT direction!!) Anyway on our way out we are delivering an ice cream cone, we will be back later this week with the filling. x
Hi there, hope you are well, our silly mummy has gone and caught a cold but luckily daddy has had this week off work, mummy better get well soon or she won't feel like walking us and that would be just horrible. They have ordered a paddling pool for us though and wish it would hurry up and come so we can get in it. Leaving you some chicken soup today xxx PS if you want to vote for Bally please remember voting ends on sunday at 5PM 25th May, thank you.
Hi there mate, how are you? hope you are well. The weather here has been hot for days and the people are complaining that it's too hot now, too hot too cold too wet or windy it's never right is it! Now for the news Bally has been nominated for Junes Laydee of the Month and she is very excited and it would be great if she won then we would have a Hunk and a Laydee in the house. Treat today is a jacked potato with lots of butter topped with cheese and pickle xxx
Hi Maggie, "here we are again, happy as can be".......except we are NOT because it is back in the veterinary nurse's uniform again for me (any excuse!)........ and very fetching, or something, I look too!!! Sarika did another claw yesterday, I think that she hit a stone whilst charging around endeavouring to remind Purdey as to exactly who is the boss. Although there was a lot of blood at the time, it has already healed, so, although she is a bit lame still, that isn't the problem. No, today, instead, nurse David is clearing up after the upset stomachs of those two rather silly girlies who drank some rather unpleasant looking puddle water, no accidents in the house yet, thank goodness, but it is not the easiest thing to deal with in a wet garden! I fail to understand the attraction of stagnant puddle water, not that I have actually tried any but I doubt it has that lovely gooseberry and nettle tang of a nice glass of New Zealand sauvignon wine (do you know, my mouth actually started watering when I typed that!!! - How sad is that?). Anyway today we are dropping off useful stuff, some water purification tablets and, should you forget the tablets, some baby wipes and, most importantly, a bottle of NZ sauvignon for the humans. Have fun x
Hi Maggie, great news, I am pleased to announce that Star Wars Jabba the Hutt is alive and well and living in Berkshire! It is ME. Or should that be Mr Blobby as never have I, David, scoffed so much as I did over Easter? And it was wonderful!!! It is why I haven't managed to get on DoggySnaps - first I got stuck in an armchair and then I couldn't see the computer keyboard for chins (mine). Back on the diet next week methinks. All three of the doggies are absolutely fine, Her Princessliness Sarika was lame following tearing a claw up into the nail bed but is now 100%, Purdey the ponging poomonster hasn't found anything delectable to roll in recently so all walks are currently approached with trepidation and, like his "dad", the old fellow and champion botty burper Maxwell is also perking up a bit now that spring is, hopefully, about to.... spring. To help me out they are delivering things for your humans which I will not now be needing ie various Cadbury products - 3 tubes of mini eggs, 6 cream eggs, 4 packets of chocolate raisins ( a mix of milk, plain and white chocolate... yummy...in fact, on refection they are so yummy it will only be 3 packets!!!!) and 2 very large bars of fruit and nut chocolate. And something more doggy appropriate for you, a slice of smoked salmon. Enjoy x
Sorry we have not been around, mum and dad have been so busy trying to train Bally not to go across the road, we first used the whistle which seemed to work for a while but then she started to ignore it, now she is using a spray commander on the beep sound, so lets hope this works. She is so naughty. Leaving you cauliflower cheese and chips xxx
Hello my good friends, well, what a strange weekend! yesterday it was freezing cold and raining sooo hard we only managed a 10 minute walk and both got soaked! Today we set off for the bridle path, was sunny but freezing and on the way home it snowed on us! Despite the cold mam washed me feet (again!) cos I raced round the garden like a whirling dervish, then made a nice paw print pattern on the carpet :D. Todays treat is giant Easter eggs with all your favourite snacks inside. xxx
Hi Maggie, how are you? Sarika, Purdey, Max and their aged slave wish you and yours a lovely Easter and are sending you each a virtual Easter Egg full of happiness. x
Hi Maggie, you will never guess what Sarika and Purdey found in the garden last night. There is a clue in the well-known English phrase "pi**ed as a newt" (although, personally, I have never seen a newt drunk). No, silly you, it wasn't a "pi**ed as"....whatever that might be....it was a NEWT. I haven't seen a newt for many years. I have no idea where it came from nor to where it was going but I think breeding is on its agenda. Although I let it go I was tempted to keep it as a pet because I could have called it TINY as, after all, it would have been MY NEWT! (there's nothing like a good old'un as I now unfortunately have to say with increasing regularity). I could have taken it gunnewt training, I could have taught it recall or even dressage to music. I clearly need to lie down. Meanwhile the newt finders and dobes are delivering some bread and worms in case you should find a newt, if not, according to Purdey, the worms are quite scrummy. And on my behalf there is a packet of Cadbury's mini eggs for your humans because it is Easter and because I, David, think that mini eggs are even scrummier than worms. Enjoy.
Hello my friend, hope you are well. Jack is a very happy boy as he has been nominated for Hunk of the Month and as it's his birthday on 15th April it would make a great prezzie for him if he won, so please vote for him, he was even telling all the doggies at the vets about it yesterday, forgetting that he had just been told he has to have minimal exercise as his back legs arn't that good any more, it's his age. Leaving you shepherds pie today. xxx
