Hiya Paddy - Well there’s not much happening at the moment apart from all our muddy puddles seem to have gone all crispy and mum keeps saying she doesn’t want to take us out because its soooo cold. We still get to go though cos she always takes us whatever the weather! Yesterday we met two Springer Spaniels and although I (Jackson) didn’t take much notice of them Kia had a great time running, chasing and playing with them. She is such a strange girl because mum never knows how she is going to react when we meet other dogs, which is not very often. Sometimes she thinks she has to “show whose boss” and other times she is very playful. Typical female! (Sorry mum’s just told me off for saying that). Toasted crumpets for you tonight. Love and Licks from Jackson and Kia xxxx
Angus here… well, my daddy took Bertie’s daddy to the airport this morning, so they are off on holiday, until the end of next week. I am staying with daddy in his office. Bertie is with his neighbour. Its nice to stay with daddy all day. All his colleagues are making fussess of me, I think one lady has been looking forward to me coming in because she bought me a nice box of bonios. Isn’t that kind? Freezing cold though today..Bbbrrrr… Treats of a nice cup of hot tea and a beef pie.
Hi Paddy, well that was a fun day, Sarika timing her illness (both ends) with Mrs Davidmh being out and me being almost immobile. As I wrote in the forums I had to laugh (although I admit it was verging on HYSTERIA) and my attempt at clearing up would have made an interesting picture!! Anyway my gorgeous Princessliness seems a bit perkier today so hopefully she is on the mend but it is still OUCH as far as my back is concerned. Allowing for canine illnesses, my disc problem has its advantages as my domestic goddess days also seem over, at least temporarily, so no hoovering, lifting etc....I still can do a bit of dusting though if I get withdrawal symptoms .....WE WILL SEE. Anyway we shall continue to sing “ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE” and, as usual, the girlie gundogs and dobes join me in sending cuddles and kisses. And finally, Two cannibals are eating a clown. One cannibal turns to the other and asks, "Does this taste funny to you?" xx
A quick visit to say hip hip hooray the dressings and bandages are finally off the leg and Paddy has been discharged we are leaving carrot cake with cream cheese frosting in celebration
Paddy & Grace

Mam has started posting xmas cards today, leaving you a bag full of goodies love Jeddy xx
Hi Paddy, Yesterday got colder and colder as the sky got brighter and brighter. Mum made sure Ella was wrapped up really snug and warm for the night, wearing one of her thick rugs. If it gets any colder I might start wearing my coat as well when I go out – I do have a really nice tartan one but I don’t like wearing it. Mum got all the Christmas stuff out yesterday but then she got busy at work so it’s still on the dining room table – perhaps we’ll get round to putting it up today. Frosty out there this morning so mum had to get the ice of the car before we could to and feed Ella. The vet is coming back today to check on Ella’s eye – we think it looks so much better so hopefully the vet will say the same. They have promised to give mum a call when they leave so mum can nip out to the farm and meet them there as it only takes 5 minutes by car to get there.
Leaving you cheese on toast today. Lots of love Ellie and Ella xxxxxxx

Hi Paddy, tip to self(1)....be more careful when lifting and turning with a full bucket of water. No, I didn’t spill it on the floor, in fact I rather wish I had....instead I have ended up with a prolapsed disc in my lower spine. And yes, it was OUCH (amongst other words) then, OUCH now and OUCH for some time to come. At least the doggies are all “in the pink”...well, actually the girlie gundogs, the Princessliness Sarika and Purdey the Poomonster, are in the not surprisingly MUD COLOURED BROWN (the paths and tracks round here being filthy at the moment) and Max, well Max is in a bed which I suppose could be pink but is actually BLUE. Anyway they join their injured slave in sending their regards. And finally, one for the anglers.....Two parrots are sitting on a perch. One turns to the other and says "Can you smell fish?" xx
Hiya Paddy! Sooo sorry I've not been visiting very often, you just can't get the staff nowdays! I've been a lovely walk this morning and met simply LOADS of greyhounds! It was a meet up of rehomed/retired ones. They all looked cosy as most had coats on! Life has been pretty uneventful, we are all looking forward to christmas, there are a couple of interesting packages in the spare room I've had a sniff at!! Mum has been looking at place to stay in your neck of the woods for September - I can't wait! Leaving you roast beef and all the trimmings Love & hugs Ozzy xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Paddy, Sorry I have not visited lately. Mom is slacking, all involved in changing out the house decorations, and not keeping up on my messages. She had the nerve to go to two Thanksgiving dinners, and didn't even bring me a small morsel! If this keeps up I might have to trade her in. She hasn't made any good food lately either, so I am forced to send you some people crackers. The mailman is especially tasty. Love, Dexter

(for friends in the southern hemisphere, iced brandy!)
Hi Paddy, What a wet and miserable day yesterday, it rained non stop from when we got up until we went to bed – in fact I did spend most of my day snoozing in bed, just a quick trip outside every now and again to do my business, then a date with the towel – he he. In fact I decided to stay at home when mum fed Ella as the whole farm is now a swamp. Ella’s eye was still very sore so mum called the vet out and it’s an eye infection that if left untreated could lead to the pupil shutting down and in the end cause blindness so she is now on antibiotics and has to have special eye drops twice a day. She was such a good girl with the vet and she has another checkup next week to make sure it heals ok. Dry so far this morning so got my walk in quickly. Once it gets light mum will go out and give Ella her morning eye drops and we are hoping it’s getting better.
Leaving you a pizza today. Lots of love Ellie and Ella xxxxxxxxx

Hi there… been a quiet few days for me, but poor old Bertie got bitten by 2 Scottie dogs in the park, and his daddy had to take him to the vets yesterday. I sat in the car while they went in. The vet found bite marks on him, so they gave him an injection and some tablets. I hope he will be better today. He hasn’t felt much like playing with me yesterday so maybe he will be a bit livelier today. Hope you are OK.. take care, Love Angus. Here are some smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches. Speak later xxxx
Hi Paddy, Yesterday was such a damp and miserable day, it didn’t exactly rain but whenever we went outside we still got wet. Helped mum change the bed linen on her lunch break yesterday. I get that worried look on my face when she removes my bedding from my side of the bed and then carries on to strip the lot down so of course I try to help by laying in the middle, doesn’t seem to work though, but once it’s all done I’m so happy to see my half of the bed being restored to its former glory, complete with my upstairs selection of toys!!!
We were pleasantly surprised to see Ella looking mud free in the afternoon – reckon she had been for a swim on her tropical island with Apollo – he he. However, she had made up for in during the night as we were greeted by a happy but muddy face first thing!
Leaving you a tuna sandwich today. Lots of love Ellie and Ella xxxxxx
