Hiya, Angus here.. Yes I’m back. I’ve had quite an adventure. I can’t understand why dad won’t let me jump on the furniture or the bed anymore..?? Plus I can’t go out, and I can’t race down to the end of the garden. Dad takes me on the lead when I need to do my ablutions. How embarrassing it is to be watched while doing number 1’s and number 2’s. Also, I’ve got this big plastic thing around my neck. Still dad keeps telling me that it is only temporary. I hope so! Thank you everyone for thinking of me. Lots of cards and messages, I love you all for thinking of me. Leaving you all a giant big green and yellow capsule, and a huge massive pink tablet as treats! Sorry but if I have to eat them….. hehehehe. Love Angus xx

Hello there. Angus is a bit annoyed with me, as I took him to the vet’s yesterday and they anaesthetised him. He was very sleepy last night, and ignoring me a bit this morning. He has obviously been in pain, and hopefully we can sort him out soon. He has ruptured his Cruciate Ligament, and this is confirmed by his X-rays. He doesn’t have arthritis, which was a worry, but this is also a worry. Like all of you with your babies, Angus is my baby and I will always worry about him, especially now. He will have a lot to face and it will take 3 to 4 weeks to recover fully from the operation. Maybe next visit to DS he will have forgiven me, and do his own messages. I will leave a jumbone in the kennels for each dog, and a glass of brandy for the humans…Thanks for your support.. Malcolm.

Hi there.. well, Wednesday again and same old stuff.. been drizzly these few days and it makes my fur really damp.. bbrrrr I don’t like it at all. Dad had the car MOT’d the other day, when he got the bill, he went white… I don’t know why, coz he said it was just what he needed after Christmas! I don’t understand humans at all! Oh well, just getting ready for my afternoon walk, and roll in badger poo… leaving you pork chops… love Angus xx

Hi there, Angus back again… Did you have a good weekend? Dad had to go to London on Friday, and didn’t get back until Saturday morning, but he brought me back some treats which I scoffed straight away! Sunday I was lazy and hid under dad’s duvet until 11am.. (OK he was there too). Here’s Gammon and chips for tea.. Love Angus xx

Hi all.. how have you been? Hump day today, downhill to the weekend tomorrow.. Not much to report here, just the normal rounds of walks, treats and snoozes. Especially the snoozes.. amazing that they are more appealing just after a walk, then suddenly, I am wide awake again, ready to play! Leaving you a banana sandwich and a strawberry smoothy.. Love Angus xxxxxxxx

Greetings from a wet and dismal Somerset. Its been an ordinary weekend, though Daddy is pleased, as my limp seems to have vanished. I am still taking my medicine. Dad says I need a haircut, but I hope he waits until the end of February, and the last of the really cold weather has gone. Leaving you some chicken and rice, and a cup of hot tea.. keep warm, love Angus

Angus here.. how are you doing?? Its cold here, but the snow is beginning to thaw. The beach looked dirty yesterday, with the brown on the wet sand mixing with the white of the snow. I love the snow and love to lay and roll in it, but daddy doesn’t like it at all. I will miss it when it goes, but daddy won’t! I have had a slight limp the past few days so daddy took me to the vet on Saturday. The vet gave me some Auntie Inflameries, whoever she is (??). Dad squirts it on a plate and I lick it up. I think it tastes like honey, so nice! Auntie Inflamerie can come again! Well, that’s my news. I saw the tribute to Zeea. Its lovely. So kind of Auntie Dorothy to do it. Warn scones with Jam and cream, and a hot coffee and tea as your west country treat.. Have fun, love Angus xxx

Wow.. for my first time, I saw real deep snow. We usually don’t get any, or just a dusting here, but yesterday morning when I went out for my morning ablutions, everything was white, and deep too. I ran around the garden in the snow and felt it crunch under my feet. Daddy couldn’t get to work yesterday, so we went to the park and then on to the beach and we were out for hours. It was great. Today he is working so I and in the snowy woods today with Bertie and his Dad. Hope you’re enjoying the snow too (the sunshine if you’re in Australia!). Leaving you a hot tea with milk, and cheese on toast.. enjoy! Love Angus xxx

Hi all. Angus here. It’s been a long holiday and sooo busy. Daddy has been off and we have been doing lots of things. We went to London to visit friends and relatives and some Aunties and Uncles met me for the first time. We also stopped at Auntie Angie’s and I played with Teddy for a while. New Year was fun, daddy dressed up as Cruella de Vil for a fancy dress party. He did look silly! Still no snow. It is supposed to snow tonight, but I doubt we will get any! Have a wonderful new year.. Love Angus.. leaving you some mince pies and a nice big lick for luck in 2010!

Hello everyone. I am so excited. Christmas is sooo close now. Dad and I would like to wish all our DS friends a very very Happy Christmas. Dad is off after today, so I will have 100pc of his attention. Can we also ask everyone to think of our missing friends who are at Rainbow Bridge, and send them loving thoughts and prayers. Auntie Angie’s message for the angels, the other day, was lovely, wasn’t it? A special get well prayer to Desmond’s dad who will be separated from Des and his mum for Christmas. Lots of love to everyone. We are so happy to have made so many friends on this site. Next rounds will be after Christmas, so we both send a wish that everyone gets what they have hoped for, and more, and enjoy a great festive holiday. Leaving you with a glass of sherry (juice for the furbabies.. sorry!), and some Christmas Pudding and custard.. yummm.. love Angus xxxx and Daddy xxx PS Daddy is preparing his costume for our New Year fancy dress party…. I don’t think I’m gonna like it…. More news after Christmas..

Hi Angus here. How was your weekend? We still have not had any snow at home, but Daddy has it where he works. It snowed a bit on Friday but didn’t last more than half an hour. Normally I have a very special walk on my birthday, but Dad had to work so we had our special walk on Saturday. We walked along the ‘Strawberry Line’. It is a disused railway line from Cheddar to the main Bristol line and used to carry the local strawberries. I had never walked there before and it was great to have new smells and sights. In parts there are high embankments and I loved running up them. I was a bit scared in the tunnel though and kept close to Dad. He will soon be off for Christmas and New Year and we can spend more time together. I can open my pressies soon, too.. I see him trying to hide them from me! Well, I’m going back to the fire to keep warm, and leave you some cheese and tomato quiche. Love Angus xx

Thank you all for your kind wishes, and also those who sent cards. I am so grateful you thought of me. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the soiree. Those of you who have snow, don’t forget to wrap up warm. We don’t have any here, yet. We have had some sprinkles in the air but none has settled. Leaving you some bubby (juice for the little ones) and birthday cake.. Love Angus xx

Hello Paddy just thought we'd pop by and see how you all are. Another lovely sunny weekend which has been good because Saturday was our annual village fair. Its called the Meavy Oak Fair and is held on the village green where stands an ancient oak tree reputed to be 1000 years old. The village green is just in front of the pub called The Royal Oak and there are lots of activities and stalls. Morris Dancers and displays by the children of the local primary school and A DOG SHOW. Well mum entered me and Kia for some of the classes and we came home with a couple of rosettes. Kia got 2nd for best rescue dog and I (Jackson) got 3rd for best trick. My trick was to raise my paw for a treat like in my photo. The 1st rosette was given to a dog that jumped up and caught a ball that his dad threw for him which I thought was a bit silly cos I can catch a thrown ball too, I think most of us can can’t we! Still no sour grapes cos I did get a lovely yellow rosette. The fact that there was only four in the class is beside the point, heheheh. Kia got 2nd out of about 12 rescued and rehomed dogs. She did go in for waggiest tail and didn’t get anywhere even though she never stops wagging her tail and the other year she got 1st in this class. Anyway it was all a bit of fun and we had a lovely afternoon out meeting lots of other dogs and people. What with the wedding, parties and all this going on we have had a very busy weekend. We’re leaving you a lovely red rosette which means your tops for us. Lots of love and licks from Jackson and Kia xxx
