Greetings fellow ‘Snappers’. It’s ages since I was on the site because of my Mom – her and Dad have been too busy to deal with my needs – except the walk and feeding/watering bit. They have installed a new shower room (whatever one of those is) and you should have seen the mess in the house while they were doing it. Mom couldn’t quite decide what colour to paint the walls and the flooring. However, she missed her footing on the way down the stairs yesterday morning, and being pleased that she hasn’t actually broken her left big toe, has now decided that the bathroom should be the beautiful colour of the bruise on said big toe. Personally I really don’t care too much about the colour of the bathroom, only that I wish she would hurry up with this message and get my supper ready. So that said, bye for now beautiful hounds, have a very pleasant evening and enjoy a treat of a pigs ear chew. Lots of love, Shannon xxxx.

Hello everybody, how are we all today? Well, I have hurt my paw again – front nearside this time, last week it was rear offside. Mom has no idea how or why I keep chopping up my pads and she has tried all sorts of disgusting stuff like surgical spirits and, one day, even stuck my foot in a bowl of salted water – ooooh that really nipped. I hope she doesn’t do it again. The vet advised putting a boot on which is fine, however we are still trying to find a way of stopping the damage in the first place, then I wouldn’t need a boot (putting boots on before we go out doesn’t work because I lose them when I am running around). Anyway, enough about me. Mom and Dad have been busy painting the back room because they are making it into an office. It’s a lovely lilac colour (well Mom says it’s lovely), it should look great when it’s finished. There’s a man coming round today to put down a new floor – yipppeee, someone new to show my sore paw to and get a “aaah” cuddle – Aunty Wendy came round last night and I got so much fuss; this sore paw trick really works!!!! Toast with baby-cheese for a treat today. Have a good week-end everyone. Love, Shannon xxxx

Greetings, one and all – how the devil are you? I am fine, thanks for asking. It’s been a great week, Mom says it’s lovely to be back home with me, the weather has been terrific considering the time of year. We were expecting it to be wet on the strength of the weather forecast, but the only rain we have had has been overnight and the days have been really nice, though a bit chilly. It was really windy on Thursday and Friday but that is par for the course up this neck of the woods. Well, that’s the discussion about the weather over. I somehow managed to hurt my paw again, so had to have that pesky boot on again. It’s all better now though. Off to agility this evening so I’ll be looking forward to seeing how much of a muppet I can make Mom look!! Class. My Dad comes home next Saturday so I’ll have him to bug me as well for a couple of weeks; however it will be great to see him. There’s lots of work going on at home over the two weeks Dad is home so it’s going to be ever-so busy. Mom had better make sure she’s got time to take me out for my walks else I’ll have a right monk-on. Well must fly, this is eating into my Sunday afternoon snooze. Leaving chicken nibbles for a treat. Lots of love, Shannon xxx

Hello everybody – I am back from stir and boy am I glad about that. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind being in kennels, well I am used to it now, and it is nice to see all the other inmates. However, I don’t get to stretch out in comfort on the sofa. And of course I don’t have my Mom there hugging and kissing me and telling me she loves me. It was my 5th birthday yesterday and when I was picked up from the kennel I was taken straightaway to the groomers for a wash and blow dry – what was that all about then? Mom says it’s because I am always minging when I leave the kennels and she could hardly bear to hug me; I don’t believe I was that bad but must admit I felt better after my bath. I got a lovely pigs ear chew and a new toy for my present – and of course got lots of love off Mom so it turned out to be a good day after all. Well I hope you have all been behaving yourselves while I’ve been away. Treat today is fresh cream doughnuts. Lots of love, Shannon xxx PS - hey Ted, my Mom was visiting her brother in America and they have three Yorkies – supposedly they are the cutest wee critters, but I bet not nearly as cute as me. Their names are Dutch (daddy) Daisy (mommy) and Dusty (6th months son).

Hi there, I see it’s been a couple of weeks again since I was able to get “her indoors” to send a message to my DS friends – I’ll have to go and get myself a couple of those thumb things so I can do my messages myself; or I could replace Mommy with a better secretary. Anyway everything is well with me, apart from the fact that I have to go into stir again for a week because Mom is off on her travels again. She’s going to Seattle to see her brother this time. I wish I could go with her but I would be in stir for 6 months when we got back if I went and that wouldn’t be fun; even though I have my pet passport and get that awful rabies jab every year I still can’t go to all the places with Mom and Dad – it just isn’t fair. We went to agility on Sunday evening, the venue has changed and we are indoors now at a riding school – the big barn had all this rubbery stuff on the floor and Alfie, my beagle friend, kept eating it – what a Muppet !!! Mom was laughing and saying he might produce bouncy poo (isn’t she rude!!). Well I have to go now because it’s time for my walk, it’s too muddy to go up to Durno Woods because some lads were out at the week-end on their dirt bikes and have churned up the pathways, so it’ll be walking round the stubble fields instead – but that’s OK because there’ll be lots of sticky goo to roll in!! We will be in touch again week after next. Take care and be good. Treat today is minced steak ‘n’ gravy. TTFN, Love Shannon xxxx

Hello Boys and Girls. Well it’s been quite a while since we visited DS so I thought I would stop by and check in on everybody. We have had a really busy couple of weeks as Dad was home and we had loads of stuff to do. The best was going up to the Highlands, Aviemore to be exact, in Dad’s new car – Mom says it’s his mid-life crisis toy!! It’s a convertible, with a lid that goes back at the touch of a button, and is very posh in deed – I have put a couple of photos in my album for you to check me out in the new wheels; how cool do I look then?? We have also been busy in the garden because the old spring/summer plants had to be taken out of the hanging baskets and pots and the winter stuff put in. I helped quite a bit – NOT!! But it was nice laying in the driveway watching dad do all the work. Anyway, hope everyone is fine and sorry again for not being in touch sooner. Leaving salmon fishcake for a treat. Hello Gang. Well it’s the start of another week so I thought I would stop by and check in on everybody. I had a fine week-end, although I’ve got a sore paw again so Mom didn’t take me on very long walks. I don’t mind but she sticks a boot on and I feel such a plank – still it’s easier for me to walk so that’s OK. There has been no agility for a couple of weeks because the girls are on holiday, so nothing humorous to tell you on that front. In fact it’s been a very uneventful week; which on reflection must be a good thing. Looking forward to my couple of days away with Mom and Dad in Aviemore, I love it there because there are so many great places to run and sniff – my very favourite thing. Mom was a little morose over the week-end because she found some stuff that belonged to my sister Nikki. Mom misses her so much because she was adorable. Mom saw another 6 year old Wheaten was looking for a new home in Montrose, good luck to Murphy finding a good forever home. Leaving you steak ‘n’ eggs treat for breakfast. TTFN, Love Shannon xxxx

Hello Everybody. It’s me again. Just thought I’d do a quick catch-up to check that you are all behaving yourselves, like what I am!!! It’s hasn’t been a great week on the weather front, but that hasn’t stopped Mom and me going for nice long walks. We walked down to the next village this morning (about 4 mile round trip), just as we got home into the house, the heavens opened and it started chucking down with rain - how lucky are we then? Mom and Dad are taking me up to the Highlands in September, I love going up there because there are fabulous estates that I can roam around and stuff, and I get to stay in their bedroom in the hotel and I get spoiled rotten. Can’t wait!! Just off now to assume the position on the sofa while Mom cleans out the fish tank. Treat today is steak and scrambled eggs. TTFN, Love Shannon xxxx

Hey everybody, I’m back. It’s been a long time since we were on Doggysnaps because we have all been away on holidays and trying to get back into the groove since we got back. I was in stir for the two weeks mom, dad and Ryan were away because they went on a long plane journey so I couldn’t go – not sure I would have liked that anyway from what Mom was saying. They had to go from Aberdeen to London first, and on the way down the plane was struck by lightning so they had to divert to Luton – that meant they missed their onward flight and couldn’t go till the next day. What a nightmare!! I have no idea what she is talking about but I let her drone on anyway. I hope you have all been extremely good while I have been away, I will bore you rigid with the next episode in a day or two. Ta ta for now, steak and eggs for your treat today. Love Shannon xxxx

******************* SAM’S (BESTMAN) SPEECH********************** Laydees and knights, pooches of all ages. Before I begin I would like us to toast all of our friends that have gone to Rainbow Bridge. We love and miss you all so much. We know that you will all be watching over us and sharing in Maxy’s and Shadow’s special day. Fluffy, Shadow asked you to be her bridesmaid and I know that you will be doing a wonderful job from Rainbow Bridge making sure that everything goes well (blows a kiss to Fluffy and to all our friends) If you could all raise your glasses “to our beautiful friends at Rainbow Bridge, you are here in our hearts always” Great service Father Ted, or should I now say Bishop Ted – boy are you going up in the world. Mate you did us proud again. Well doesn’t the wedding party look fabulous. You all look great in your outfits. I think the bridesmaids look absolutely lovely. Sir Maxy you really do make a wonderful Knight in shining armour. I hope I don’t look too ridiculous in tights hahahahah. Shadow you look absolutely stunning – Maxy you must be glowing with pride. Maxy my bestest buddy in the whole world (turns to his best mate) – what can I say? I met Maxy back in February at Ash’s and Mischa’s wedding. We hit it off straight away and it is hard to believe that we have only been buddies for about 5 months. I feel like I have known him all my life – he feels more like a brother to me. I think we knew we would be buddies for life when I lent him my speedos to wear to the beach cos he couldn’t find his own (hahaha). They were quite a tight fit cos as you can see he is quite a bit bigger than I am, but rather than complain he looked on the bright side and said they were fine cos they showed off his manliness more (winks as Shadow) I am sure that Shadow will agree. I remember our first poker game. There wasn’t really a winner cos we kept eating the pot (well we played for bonios) hehehe. We sunk a few pints of Guinness too didn’t we mate. Enjoyed our nights out ever since. I remember the day he came running to my kennel so excited to tell me that he had found the love of his life. I was so glad when he told me it was Shadow because she was a friend of mine and I knew straight away that they would make the perfect couple. I have watched their blossoming romance with great joy and interest and was so over the moon when they said they were getting married. Maxy asking me to be his best man was the biggest honour and I hope I have done a good job mate. Maxy and Shadow my dearest friends I hope you have a wonderful doggymoon and keep us posted on your travels, obviously we don’t want all the ins and outs hehe. I wish you both all the happiness in the world and may all your skies be blue. Let’s raise our glasses and toast Maxy and Shadow, the lovely bride and groom. Love you guys (big manly hug for Maxy and a kiss and a hug for Shadow). Maxy buddy, don’t cry mate, your armour will rust and seize up again hahahaha. XXXXXX

Hello Buddy & Duggy – just a quick note to say hallo. I went to agility last night and Mom says I was rubbish, well I just wasn’t in the mood for all that jumping around and everything. Mom has been really busy this week, we are off on holidays next Monday so she is getting us ready for that. I’m not going with Mom and Dad because they are going on a long plane journey, but I am going to see Aunty Linda at the kennel – I don’t mind actually because we all have our own gardens to run around in and the girls come and play with us when they come and clean us out. I don’t like being left very much but it’ll be OK. Those pesky cats Sylvester and Phoebe are in ‘stir’ as well – at least I get a bigger room than they do, ha ha!! Hope you’ve all been good and enjoying yourselves. Leaving doggy choc drops for your treats today. Signing off for now, Love Shannon xxxx

Hello everybody – just a quick note to say hallo and wish you all well. I went to agility on Tuesday and Mom says I was really good; three weeks on the trot I have done the course with no messing about, she doesn’t realise I am lulling her into a false sense of security !!! Just wait and see, I’ll get her ... Mom bought some hurdles for the garden so I will be getting some practice in. The weather has not been too bad this week, so we have had some reasonable walks – went on a nice long walk this morning down an old railway track that we haven’t been to for ages – it was really good, so much to sniff at. Have a great week-end one and all – treat today is chicken nibbles. Love Shannon xxxx

Good day DSers, fit like the noo? It has been seriously wet this week-end and I am really fed up because I am missing out on my lovely long walks in the woods; it isn’t so much the volume of rain but that it has rained pretty much all day for the last 6 days. My Mom is feeling a wee bit fed up because all the lovely lupins and tall flowers in the garden have been beaten down and are lying on their sides; not much can be done about that but they may pick up when the weather warms up a bit. My Dad is working in India at the moment and it has just started the monsoon season, so he is getting even wetter than we are!! I’ll be glad when he comes home because he plays with me, but Mom likes to cuddle me better, although she does take me out on long walks all the time and we have lots of fun then. Have left beef stew for your treats today, Love Shannon xxxx

Greetings Doggysnappers, and how are you all today? Well, what can I say, it has been raining ALL day on and off, and every time Mom thought it had stopped so she could take me out, down it all came again. Soooo, we just had to run the gauntlet and get soaked, three times. My hair is so curly now it looks like a blonde afro!! Not a good look. I hope all of our sick pals are feeling better, I know it’s ‘orrible when you feel a little crook, not that I’m an expert because I seem to be quite a sturdy fellow, but we do empathise with you all. Hopefully the weather will improve over the next couple of days so that I can go for a really good gallop. Treat today is southern fried chicken and peas. Love Shannon xxxx

Hello everyone, a quick catch up to all my DS buddies. We had a really good week-end; the weather was gorgeous and I spent most of my time sunning myself in the garden, while Mom was busy spraying her veggies with bug killing liquid and pruning tomatoes and stuff. Today the weather is not so sunny but it is lovely and warm. Last week my stupid mother purchased a new rotary clothes line and tried to install it into the lawn. She seemed to take hours tapping in this spike thing with a little hammer and in the end gave up and called her friend to come and help. Nic turned up with a huge mallet and proceeded to swing the thing like Geoff Capes. However, they still couldn’t get the spike to go right into the grass, so relented and called upon the services of Philip, Nic’s hubby. He came along to assist and guess what – those two daft women were trying to knock the spike into a huge boulder. So much for women being independent, they just can’t get along without us men. Wait till Dad gets home and I tell him – however I am open to bribes and Mom may be able to get me to keep quiet, but it will cost her – any ideas what I can charge for this? Leaving salmon pate on toast for a treat – yummmmmy. L Shannon xxx
