Hi Kooky, I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hi Kooky, humans have decided to call the new ginger fluff ball 'Tigger', he is curious, greedy, mischievous, playful, he bounces, leaps, jumps, hisses but he is OK. When he is microchipped, I know, he will be here to stay. Steak treat today. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hi Kooky, it was my birthday yesterday & guess what, I was at the vets along with Whisky, one of our cats, I have left you a slice of my cake. Hopefully they will sort out my limp & Whisky's bad tooth, as we are both a bit uncomfortable. my Mum took the opportunity to wash all my water bowls in the dishwasher & washed our bedding, even cooked the chicken for our homecoming. Enjoy your cake & when I am better, it will be a good excuse to have another party. Love, Dylan, Whisky & the other cats x
Hi Kooky, I was told I was a silly dog, Mum gave me a bone to chew and bury, I took it outside and left it in the mud, my Dad brought it in again, so I took it just outside again and left it in the same place, at least, I wasn't as silly as the cats, that got scared when chased by a empty flower pot from Friday's high winds. Mum has been experimenting in the kitchen again, fish as a starter, roast as a main course, followed by fruit, it was a bit more fancy than it sounds, but all treats go down the same way. Love, Dylan & the cat team x
Hi, sorry we haven't been by to visit for a while, but things have been a little rough. Pug brother Toby died on Dec 28 unexpectedly from apparent heart failure and we are all still very sad. But then mommy went out on Valentine's day and, horrors of all horrors, got a new baby. He is a rough coated Brussels Griffon and his name is Dweezel, go figure!! Now we have to get used to this little critter under foot and attacking us everytime we turn around. But he is kinda cute. You will have to visit his page and check him out. Sending you a big pigs ear for a treat. Luv, the whole gang
Hi Kooky, Christmas is over, but had to tell you the story about one of our cats, Dad was taking down the Christmas cards & he heard a rustle, looked around saw nothing & so continued, then all was revealed, he spotted a extra Christmas decoration that wasn't there before, Zebedee one of our cats was in the middle of the Christmas tree, climbing towards the top, maybe he had spied the articial robins, Dad pulled him off & the curious cat had managed to get a string of lights tangled around him, if Dad wasn't so worried for his safety, would loved to have captured his antics on camera. The cats have managed to break into my bonio box, so before they steal them all, leaving you a selection to eat or bury, the choice is yours. Wishing you all a bright, happy & healthy 2008. Love, Dylan & the cat team xxx
Dear Kooky, merry Christmas & a happy new year. We lost Tinker, this morning, our gentle natured little black cat, please forgive us for a message tinged with sadness. Love, Dylan
Hi Kooky, roast beef as the treat today, I am starting off with the treat, as you read on you will see why. My silly Dad, last Sunday, Mum was Christmas shopping, I think Dad was worried how much money Mum was putting on the credit card, had a nice long Sunday walk, Dad cleared up my indiscretion & then put my favourite ball & not the poo into the poo bin. Our poo bins (thankfully) are designed not to make it easy to retrieve things, but Dad had to get my ball out again, success, but needless to say he & my ball was covered in the smelly stuff, it was a very quick walk home. Love & wags, Dylan xxxx
Hi Kooky, update on our news. On Hallowe'en we had lots of children calling about 30-35 of them, the last visitors about 9 ish, we run out of treats, Mum was offering markies to the doggies, one little boy kept on dropping his collection, so I kept on eating them, I had a fun time answering the door, at one stage I got left outside as I decided it was fun to follow one group who made such a fuss of me. Fireworks, well that is another matter, there were so loud, I got scared, even too scared to go for a wee in the garden until 01.00 am. Half of the cats were OK but the other half were frightened like me, after one particular loud bang, I found myself huddled on the stairs with one of the cats, so humiliating. Welsh rabbit & Scotch woodcock is the treat today. Love & wags, Dylan xx
Hi Zooky, Mum's tale of woe. She came home last night tired, after work and really apperciated the chiiled glass of white wine Dad had waiting for her. All animals fed, supper started which got later as she sipped more wine, anyhow, after all had eaten, cats litter trays checked & cleaned, water bowls changed, all cats in for the night, 1 dog out for his last wee before retiring, Mum, myself, 2 of the cats Skimble & Tinker all went upstairs to bed. During the night, Mum felt cold, the duvet had disappeared, she noticed that Skimble that moved to sleep inbetween them with his head on Mum's pillow & Tinker was sitting on the window sill by the partially open window. Instead of disburbing Dad & Skimble she thought would just pull up the bed spread & put her feet down, the end of the bed was wet, she tried again, yes definately it was wet, thinking Dad may have spilt his glass of water, decided to put the light on to check, she mumbled to Dad to mind his eyes. This was 4 am, the truth was revealed, one of the cats had decided to poo in the bed & on the bed spread, bare footed, went clear the worse of it, but they had also left remnants on the floor, hop scotch to the bathroom & surprisingly even tempered the clean up began. Ok, she thought, I could go into another bedroom, but then my Dad might roll over to her side of the bed to take advantage of the extra room he had suddenly got." It is no good" she said to Dad, "I got to strip" just do it, was the reply, "I can't "she said, "not when you are still in the bed, you need to get up" Somehow they stripped the bed with Skimble still in tact refusing to move (I knew they was a reason why Mum always put 2 layers of sheets on the bed) luckily the duvet missed all the mess & the bed linen goes in the washing machine & a cup of tea made. Two hours later with an headache lurking, Mum thought might as well get up, feed the cats, let me out for a wee, have a bath & return to bed with a couple of painkillers, litter trays were cleaned & then she had noticed, one of the cats decided to have a poo on the cloakroom floor. Cleaned up, with all cats out, decided it was safe to return to bed, but Amber, our overweight cat had other ideas, decided she would climb into bed with Mum under the covers. All cats area banned from the bedroom tonight & doors to bathrooms/cloakrooms kept shut. It is a steak treat today, hope I haven't put you off & you can enjoy it. Love & wags, Dylan x
Hi Kooky, my sore back is much better, I have just finished my course of antibiotics, we think it all started with a bee sting. A quick visit, as Mum is writing her thank you letters, her friends & family were very generous, she got loads of presents, mostly cat related or drink, I felt a bit left out, I might be out numbered by the cats but I am top pet in the household. Left you a choice of cold meats as today's treat. Love, Dylan x
Hi Kooky, sorry, haven't been on DS a lot recently, been a bit hectic since our return visit from Reading. Mum has just finished celebrating a birthday ending in 0, I got a bit neglected with all the entertaining, sadly it was tinged with sadness as heard of the lost of friends, friend pets & my Dad cousin also died, the start of Sept has been a bad month. I am feeling a bit sorry for myself as I have a bite/sore on my back that has got a bit nasty, been threathened with a lampshade, been given cream & tablets, hope they will make me feel a bit better. Hope to return to a regular log in on doggysnaps soon, still a bit busy, the house is in a mess at least there is plenty of funny water, Mum & Dad call wine & beer to keep them happy. Take care, love, Dylan xxx
Hi Kooky, it has been really hectic around here. Mum & Dad are going away for a few days, I am staying with my Granny & Grandad (would have come too, but Mum's cousin has two elderly cats & I might upset their routine, if I came to stay). I'll probably won't be back on doggysnaps until the end of next week. Mum has been back & fowards to the vets this week, with two of our cats. Tinker is a bit better (sneezing) but is v thin & under weight, will have to return to see if they are any underlying causes, my mum is worried about him as he is old. Zebedee, has a ear infection, but is younger & stronger & seems to be getting better, he has been very bad tempered recently & a bad cat, he sneaked into another cat's bed in someone else's home & got a bucketful of water thrown over him, hope he has learnt his lesson. Hope the cats behave themselves when we are away, esp Zebs, Mum & Dad's friends are looking after them, mobiles will be kept on. Left you some cold roast beef. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hi Kooky, this is my new trick it is called "Lets go & wee on another dog" I now have attacked my 2nd victim, Mum's hairdresser's collie, he keeps on pinching my favourite ball, so I decided to something about it, luckily for my Mum, I choose my victims wisely & Mum & her hairdreseser are good dog walking friends (she doesn't go to the hairdresser, that often, something like, she is trying to grow her hair longer). I am leaving you a chicken treat. Speak soon. Love, Dylan xxxx
Hi Kooky, we have been quite busy lately, today, my granny & grandad came to visit, might go to visit them in Sept when Mum & Dad go back down South to visit Mum's relations, I was going to accompany them but on reflection, as it is quite a long journey & they are travelling by train ( it might be by air now, if I am not coming), I will be better off staying put, they have a neighbour who has agreed to look after the cats. Left over chinese today. Love, Dylan xx
Hi Kooky, it has been raining all day today, so I have been a bit miserable, Dad,myself & the cats have all got soaked. Mum did give me a good rub down with my towel, Dad was told he could look after himself. Markies today. Love, Dylan x
