Hi Suzie, well that was a fun day, Sarika timing her illness (both ends) with Mrs Davidmh being out and me being almost immobile. As I wrote in the forums I had to laugh (although I admit it was verging on HYSTERIA) and my attempt at clearing up would have made an interesting picture!! Anyway my gorgeous Princessliness seems a bit perkier today so hopefully she is on the mend but it is still OUCH as far as my back is concerned. Allowing for canine illnesses, my disc problem has its advantages as my domestic goddess days also seem over, at least temporarily, so no hoovering, lifting etc....I still can do a bit of dusting though if I get withdrawal symptoms .....WE WILL SEE. Anyway we shall continue to sing “ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE” and, as usual, the girlie gundogs and dobes join me in sending cuddles and kisses. And finally, Two cannibals are eating a clown. One cannibal turns to the other and asks, "Does this taste funny to you?" xx
Hi Suzie, today a tip for the humans. If you decide to ponce yourself up a bit with a quick squirt of Armani Code (men’s version, he added quickly!!!)....well you never know who you might meet on a “walkies”, it could be one of those SIMPLY GORGEOUS LADIES FROM DOGGYSNAPS.....anyway, to continue....make sure that the NOZZLE is not pointing at your eye. Because BLOODY HELL, ARMANI CODE STINGS!!!! (Note to self....must wear glasses when applying aftershave). TYPICALLY the girlie gundogs and dobes, who are all fine, were no support to their aged human slave in his time of need but were seen sniggering behind their paws at his pain and, in particular, his use of the English language! So it is love to you lot from them and the currently partly blind but actually now also very fragrant me. X
Hi Suzie, today the girlie gundogs and dobes, who are all well if a bit muddy, are delivering a joke. It is probably an oldie but I have only just heard it and it made me laugh..... A doctor says to his patient, “I have bad news and worse news”. “Oh dear, what's the bad news?” asks the patient. The doctor replies, “You only have 24 hours to live.”“That's terrible”, said the patient. “How can the news possibly be worse? ”The doctor replies, “I've been trying to contact you since yesterday.”....Ho Ho....right, I am off to power wash the patio x
Hi Suzie, building HDS WOOF (the doggies only BARK) is hard work. So far the girlie gundogs and I have collected seventeen twigs, four leaves, some cardboard with brown sticky tape attached, a piece of string, a plastic bag and a dead pigeon. I am struggling to work out what to do with the pigeon. We also very nearly collected a live deer but that’s another story (naughty Purdey!). At least the girlies make up with their enthusiasm for their complete lack of appreciation of what we actually need for boat building. The same cannot be said for dobes who frankly I blame for not briefing them properly. He says he has been too busy sleeping, watching repeats of DEAL OR NO DEAL or doing the TIMES crossword. In the circumstances I think that we’d all better hope for a DROUGHT this winter! Anyway, guess what you are getting today....that’s right...the TIMES crossword (three clues to do)....and OK then.....you get the pigeon too. Have fun x
Hi Suzie, some people say that you shouldn’t NAME and SHAME unpleasant behaviour on DoggySnaps. Well, I am going to make an exception to the rule because, quite frankly, enough is enough........The NAME is.....PURDEY...............THE SHAME is.....FOX POO. Now I guess that some people probably think I exaggerate Purdey’s prideliction for recycled animal dinners.....well, this time the gorgeous little sod has got her comeuppance because I took a photograph of her in her fox poo finery and I have put it in her kennel for all her friends and supporters to see. Serves her right. The clean and fragrant ones, Princessliness Sarika and His Baldiness, are dropping off virtual photos of themselves.....”unpooed” they said somewhat smugly! Have fun x
hay there how are you? well today we went to the water to see if jake would go in but he didnt and he wasnt happy when me and bob went in with out him we will just have to try another day. we didnt do much after that just relaxed i maggie went to town later on with mum so she could get some dinner for herself and then we came home and sat and watched tv then came on here before heading of to sleep. how was your day? leaving you some chips love maggie bob jake xx
Hi Suzie, well we had a great walk yesterday evening. Well, to be precise, it was great until the moment when I attached Purdey's lead. You see I hadn't noticed that she had rolled in something and I am actually not sure, on reflection, whether I noticed before or after the deer's breakfast was on my hand. And did it pong, you ask? Well, it took five washes in soapy water and treatment with tomato sauce (useless) and tomato puree (much better) to get rid of the stink....and that was just from my hand! Purdey, the gorgeous little sod, required more drastic treatment and is now, thanks to the tomato puree, a RED Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer. Sarika looked on with regal disdain at the chaos and also increased her human vocabulary somewhat, doberdog was, yes that is right, sleeping. Today we thought we had better send over some dog friendly bleach so that, if you are lucky enough to find and roll in some deer poo, you can be restored to your former glory without changing colour. Have fun x
Hi Suzie. Well the weather here today is horrible it rained for most of it but has stopped for now, hope it's better on sunday as our local rspca are having their open day and we really want to meet all those lovely dogs. Jack is feeling alot better the Metacam really seems to be working well. We have also added some holiday photos now in Bally and Jack's kennel if you want to take a look. Leaving you chicken and egg pie today xxx
Hi Suzie, hope you are well. We are back from our holiday in Lincolnshire and we all had a very good time, we will add some photos soon, the dogs especially enjoyed Skegness beach all that sand as it's just pebbles were we are and it was dog friendly. Now for the news on Jacks x-ray, the vet said he has a torn ligament or something in his knee and scar tissue so it wont get any better (not sure what it all means can anyone explain) and he also has artheritis in his hips so he is now on metacam for the rest of his life as it keeps the inflamation down and so relives the pain. Bubble and squeak is your treat for today xxx
Hi Suzie, thanks for visiting. Another lovely sunny day today, not quite so hot thank goodness. All the trees are looking gorgeous as they are full of blossom. We're going to sign up as volunteer dog walkers at the SPCA; that will give us something nice to do on a Sunday, because weekends are so lonely without Fluffy. Treats today are lamb kebabs. Love from Auntie Fran xxx
hay there how are you? well we had a lazy day as mum couldn't sleep last night she didn't sleep till 10am so her and maggie done all the stuff she had to do that day before she went to sleep which included looking at maggie eyes she was worried about them they didn't look normal so maggie had to go to the vet that night the vet said maggie has an infection in her eye so she gave mum drops to put in her eyes 3 times a day the vet put one lot in it cost £28.50 for it mum was shocked how much it was and then when we came home mum took bob for a walk then we just relaxed the rest of the night how has the weather been? the weather was strange were i stay one min it blue sky sun next it raining what did you get upto? thanks for the treat it was taste leaving you a bag of goodies enjoy x
Hi Suzie, how are you and the humans? I haven't had a dog poo moment (if you know what I mean) for a while, in fact I had hoped I had had my last such moment. WRONG. I was walking Sarika earlier. Her princessliness went off to do "what is natural". I got a nappy sack out of my pocket (every item of clothing I have with a pocket has nappy sacks in that pocket) and put my hand in the nappy sack so I could then pick up the poo, reverse the sack, tie up the handles and job done (in more ways than one!). I am not sure when I discovered that I had put my thumb through the hole in the sack tie handle. Was it when I sensed the strange feeling on my thumb or was it when I saw what had happened? And does it really matter? Ugh..Ugh..and more Ughs. After lots of wiping of my thumb on the grass I walked home holding my right hand as far away from me as possible. What hand? No, its not with me! Anyway I managed to get in the house without using the thumb and several scrubbings later I think that it is finally clean. So today, not surprisingly, the girls and dobes are delivering some nappy sacks without tie handles for your humans. I am off to have another wash. Have fun x
Hello Suzie, well, mum took us for an extra long walk over the fields this morning because it was gala day at the local school, and she was on the book stall. Mid morning it started to rain, and hasn't stopped since! and this being the first day of summer. Leaving you strawberry cake today. Lots of love, Molly & Floss.xxxxxxxxxxxx
