In Doggy heaven there is no cold, the sun is warm and a soft breeze blows.
The grass is green and the days are long and I have no aches or woes.
I have treats and bones and balls to chase and many friends that play.
There's even sand and sea and a shady tree, a place where I can lay.
I may be gone but as time goes on think of me with pride.
And you know I would if I could, I'd still be by your side.
When you think of me those memories float right up here to me.
They look like butterflies and rainbows right here for me to see.
I will watch over you and always know that I'm near
and you know I would if I could, I'd lick away that tear.
you may not see him greet you with a hug or a lick , he may not come to you when you put food in his bowl but one thin is 4 sure he will always greet, come and live in your heart rest in peace Max always luving ya from Zara xoxo
What a huge loss after all those years.
They will not go quietly,
the dogs who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometime,
coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring
new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will

What a grand old age. You have spent many good years with him and given him a good home. Hope things are easier for you now. Take care.
