Sorry we've not been around for a while, hope all is well with all our doggy friends. We're off on our hols on Saturday - mum's taking us to an exotic sunny place called Mablethorpe where they've got miles of beaches for us to run on! Cassie likes nothing better than racing along the shore trying to kill the sea and I love digging huge holes! Not found any bones in any of them yet though, but I live in hope! Have left an extra special tasty liver and bacon treat for you. Jedi and Cassie xx
Hi Ben, our gorgeous Purdey the Poomonster is TWO years old today, a grown up lady now. Sarika and Max are therefore dropping off some birthday cake and a bottle of pop for you. Enjoy x

Hi Ben, I was just wndering if one night when we are both free, would you like to dine out with me in the forums in the restront. There is one that has been set up so if you want to let me know xx
Hi Ben, today the girls and dobes are sending over a very large matchbox. Open it very carefully because in it you will find a rather large live beetle found by Purdey yesterday morning. We are sending it over in hope that you will know what to do with it because it is scaring the living daylights out of Purdey, Sarika and Mr Wimp (ie me!). I think Max is actually pretending to be asleep so that he doesn't have to get involved! PS I'm having a "seventies" moment (not age, just the decade) and have made a lemon meringue pie, so a piece of that is enclosed too (but not in the matchbox because that beetle is so SCARY. Have fun x.
Hi Ben, great pic.. Think you're having a not-so-hard life judging from that pic! We have a feeling life is kinda rosy for you... (-: Just as it should be of course.. We left a treat for you.. Call over to visit us sometime. Luke and Levi basset xx
Hi Ben, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Ben, I have had some BRILLIANT NEWS, well, actually, to be accurate, I have had some NO BRILLIANT NEWS or, more precisely, some BRILLIANT NO NEWS. Confused? Well how do you think I feel because I make this up as I go - and it is only the third sentence!!!! Hey Ho. Anyway, when the Olympics was awarded to London for 2012, I came up with an excellent plan. In my garden is the kid's old sand pit. So I wrote to Lord Coe and offered the use of the sandpit for one of the most important Olympic events, the lady's beach volleyball competition, you know the one with beautiful girls and bikinis. And the BRILLIANT NO NEWS, well I haven't heard anything yet which means that they haven't turned me down. I reckon I must be on the shortlist, if not perhaps already selected. The letter might be in the post!!! On the other hand, I suppose there is a remote possibilty that my offer might have been consigned to the waste paper bin, they might have thought that I was some sort of nutter....moi....a nutter....what do you think? Hmmmmmmm, perhaps not! For some bizarre reason the girls and dobes are today delivering a bucket of wishful thinking and a request for any spare straitjackets. Have fun x. PS I am definitely going to have to go and lie down now in a moment...I think I have finally gone mad!!!
Hi Ben, how are you? We're all good, having some tea soon and then going to fight over mums knee again ;) been out in the garden, playing about and digging again! Jinx is of to the vets in the morning, she might have a water infection, will keep you posted,
waggy tails, Dinky, Jinx and Frankie xxxx
oh and we're leaving you some chicken casserole yum! ;)
Hi Ben, how are you? Getting older has simply nothing to recommend it, I realised that this morning when I was looking for my glasses. I knew that, being as blind as the proverbial bat, I had absolutely no hope of finding them unless I was actually wearing them, if you SEE what I mean. And I will not mention the senile moments which seem to come now with increasing frequency - did I shut the door? which door? why did I go upstairs? what was that I said I wouldn't forget? And the worrying thing is that I still have the male menopause to come!!!! Anyway, at least the doggies are all flourishing, the girlie gundogs spark each other off and seem to be in a permanent state of puppydom and it is wonderful and long may it last. And although Dobes is obviously beginning to feel his age and is sleeping most of the time, he remains a happy little chap. And none of them have to wear spectacles, the lucky sods. Today the threesome are delivering a bird's feather found by Purdey on our walk, a hair tie (Sarika's favourite toy, she loves it put on her nose) and a duvet (slightly used) from Max...oh yes, and an empty spectacle case. Have fun x
Hey my friend, hows your weekend going? I am back from Bermuda already, infact I have been back in sunny ol' England for sometime now. I didn't go by aeroplane, I used a much faster method of transport, the Stargate :D! It's so convenient, just takes a few little steps and you're there at your destination. Fluffy and Sam's wedding was beautiful :) Teddy, my bro, did a WONDERFUL job conducting the service. I'm so proud of him. Had a lovely time. Back in the UK I went on a picnic and ate a whole jam sandwich, it was sooooooooooooooo tasty. Guess what, I spotted those black undies but I didn't bother with them today and left them alone. The smell had gone ;) Talking of smells, mum says I keep letting off real bad wind, must be al the booze I drank last night. Teddy did keep topping me up <sigh>, I can't hold my drink as well as he can and he knows that. Anyway, I'm leaving you a slice of pizza and some icecream. Love you lots Alfie xox
Hi Ben, how are you? David's gone slighly mad, Part 2....I've been busy with the naval architects on the design of my doggies only ark/bark/WOOF called HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF. Following numerous suggestions it will have a pole for dancing purposes (her name is Olga), a bandstand and a Michelin starred restaurant. It will use wind power - yes, methane produced by its passengers as fuel. Hence the restaurant, although there are a couple of doggies not too far from me right now who seemingly do not need the help of Gordon Ramsay to provide wind! We are also building a small boat which the WOOF will tow - this should be called a skiff but, in the circumstances (can you imagine the pong from the hundreds of doggies on the WOOF) we are going to call it a WHIFF. This will be for non-doggy pets such as c*ts. And we are getting a Roman slave galley built for guess who? That's right, the humans - no change there then. This will tow both the WOOF and the WHIFF on those unlikely days when the WOOF is not self fuelling. Today the girls and doberdog, as well as delivering some cooked liver treats, are sending over a raincoat and some wellington boots because they think that those might be more use to you than the WOOF when the floods come. Oh, yee of little faith. And now I am going to lie down!!!! Have fun x
Hi Ben, my broadband crashed yesterday when trying to visit kennels so here we are today, how are you? We had a lot of rain here over the weekend and the tracks turned into muddy streams. Now I was never a Boy Scout but I remember their motto "Be Prepared", so I have decided it is time to build a boat, just in case we get more floods. I was going to call it an ARK but then I thought "No er, someone has already done that". So I have decided to call it a BARK. Not BARK as in sailing ship but BARK as in WOOF. In fact, on reflection, I shall call it a WOOF.... DAVID'S WOOF.......that has got a nice ring about it, don't you think? Anyway, it is for doggies only so let me know if you would like to reserve a place on DAVID'S WOOF, reasonable rates. On Sunday I made some thai fishcakes which were yummy so the girls, doberdog and I are sending some more over, this time with sweet chilli sauce. Got to go now because there are people at the door, OO ER it is the men in white coats!! Have fun x
Youhooooo Ben, how lovely of you to call in with that delicious treat, I have buried under my bed to scoff later. Well I have had a wonderful day. playing chasing games on the moors with my friend Sally, she's a Labrador Retriever but a glossy black, very highly trained, a right proper show off.
