Hello Oscar, Romany Ree here, Shona has now gone back to Uni in Leeds so Mam and I have reclaimed the computer and can communicate at leisure with our DS friends again. Yippee! Well, the other day Mam was flicking through her Robinson's catalogue which is full of horsey and doggy stuff when she suddenly had one of her 'I don't believe it!' moments. The offending article it seems was on page 220 - 'A Robinson's collapsible pet stroller' which apparently is 'suitable for dogs up to 10kg'. "Anyone who buys a dog so they can push it around in a pushchair ought to be taken outside and shot!" she raged. I think she takes a hard line on this one! Mind you, is this the same person who has just bought me a new heart-shaped ID tag - in pink! ( "That's different!" she snapped.) And just the other day I overheard her say "Daddy, what time are we taking the baby dog out?" !!! THE BABY DOG! I ask you. Has she forgotten I'm a rough tough farm-bred collie with ISDS papers and everything/ The words 'pot' and 'kettle' come to mind! Sending you page 220 of the Robinson's catalogue so you can see for yourself. (I'd shred it if I were you), lots of love Romany Ree xxx

Hi Oscar, well "it is good news and bad news" said my beautiful dentist "the good news is that your teeth are fine, the bad news is that your gums have got to come out!" Fortunately she is not only beautiful but also has a sense of humour - but I had better have another check-up tomorrow and the day after and the day after....etc (did I mention that she is beautiful?!!!!). Today the girls and doberdog are dropping off Terrine of Duck, Ginger and Spring Onion with Red Onion Marmalade and Toasted Brioche, Tender Cooked Fillet of Beef set on a Potato Rosti finished with a Red Onion Marmalade, Raspberry Brulee with a Grand Marnier Poached Fig plus Freshly Brewed Coffee and Petit Fours and a Selection of British and Continental Cheeses accompanied by Celery. Grapes and Fruit Chutney. That is what I scoffed at the wedding on Saturday, it is perhaps not surprising that I am approaching tomorrow's weigh in on DDDD64 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 64)with rather a lot of interest/trepidation. And, as it is a lovely day here, cold but sunny, I'd better get the dog walks in as snow is forecast so we will see you soon. Have fun x

Hi Oscar. What a weekend we've had, we're sorry that we haven't been round to see you! :( Pepsi's had her jabs & from Tuesday can go out for walks, we went to Pets at Home (Pepsi was obviously carried) and Mummy bought LOADS of stuff including a collar & name tag for Pepsi which she keeps trying to attack! (silly puppy!) :) I went out for a lovely walk earlier and met my friends on the moors and had a play with them. Pepsi has really got the hang of the stairs now, Mummy doesn't have to carry her up & down them anymore! Right, I'm off for a nap... Today's treat is a jacket potato sprinkled with cheese...enjoy! Lots of love from Buffy & Pepsi ..x..x..x..

Hi Oscar, as you know I have two hairy gundogs. What I want to know is why is it that one (her princessliness Sarika) can drink water and leave not a drip on the floor and the other (the poomonster Purdey) leaves the kitchen looking like we have had a tsunami in it? Is it because one is a princess? Does it have anything to do with fox/deer/duck/provider-unknown poo? Is it because her mum didn't train Purdey properly? Is it correctable? Shall I get Purdey a bib - one of those plastic ones that catch baby food? Do they still make them? Do they do them for dogs? HELP. It is DDDD58 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 58) and it was weigh day yesterday and it wasn't great, same weight as last week. I am a bit disappointed as I'm not aware of having eaten anything naughty and unfortunately the diet is under pressure this weekend as I intend "excessing to excess" at a wedding. More exercise required methinks. OH DEAR. Today therefore the girls and doberdog are dropping off a couple of my spare pounds (no, not of the cash variety!) to see if that helps, and a mop, just in case Purdey comes to visit you. Oh alright then, and a large piece of fillet steak too. Have fun x

Hello Oscar. We're sorry that we haven't been around for a few days, but we've been too busy. :( Pepsi is really good at getting upstairs now, and she managed to get DOWN the stairs today, I showed her how to do it while Mummy watched her to make sure she didn't fall. I think we're going to Pets at Home on Sunday, Pepsi will have had her 10 week injection by then so she can come too! :) Today's treat is a BIG piece of chocolate cake...enjoy! Lots of love from Buffy & Pepsi ..x..x..x..

Hi Oscar, yesterday I thought I was living with howler monkeys. I got back from my regular trip to the supermarkets where, as usual, I had been looking at food and touching the bottles of wine....dieting David also know locally as "here comes that sad of unknown parentage"... anyway, I digress...I returned to a veritable cacophany of sound. All three dogs, even sleeping baldy, were howling - I have no idea what had set them off although I had left the excellent Semisonic album "Feeling Strangely Fine" playing on the CD player so maybe they were trying to sing along! You should have heard the noise...LOUD..Er..no..it was VERY VERY VERY LOUD. In fact it was so embarrassingly loud that I, as there were people walking by, pretended I didn't live here...I rang the bloody door bell.....luckily also my next door neighbour is deaf, otherwise I might have found the RSPCA on the doorstep. Anyway, never ones to miss an opportunity, today the girls and doberdog are dropping off a copy of their newly made cd - "canines do howler monkeys do Semisonic" - apparently Max is on drums, Sarika on bass guitar and Purdey on lead and all are doing the "vocals" (I use the word "vocals" very loosely!!). It could go to number 1, but I am not sure in what! Enjoy (I also use the word "enjoy" very loosely!!). x

I shall be at dim but gorgeous aunty hannah's whose catchphrase is "Well he kept looking at me with his big eyes so i thought he must be hungry". Hi Oscar, today we are celebrating, sort of. I have noticed that not only does Purdey recall to her name but now she, the Poomonster, also recalls to the phrase "crikey, what is that effing stink". I wonder why? As a tribute to her achievement Sarika and Maxwell and I have been cooking and are delivering a three course meal - a starter of courgette soup with garlic and blue cheese, a main of salmon en croute with a dill sauce (max made this and apologises for any bones, he thinks he got them all but it is tricky with paws) and a choice of puddings - key lime pie or iced white chocolate terrine with a raspberry coulis, or both, if you like. I will also add a couple of bottles of "pop". David is still dieting.....David still has food obsession...Oh dear! Have fun x

Hi Oscar. We've just popped in to leave you a treat. I'm very proud of my little sister, Pepsi (Mummy's proud of her too), she made it up the stairs in the house for the first time today...twice!! She's tired herself out now and has gone in her bed for a nap. Anyway, tonight's treat for you is a slice of pepperoni pizza...enjoy! Lots of love from Buffy & Pepsi ..x..x..x..
