Hi Mutley, well we had a great walk yesterday evening. Well, to be precise, it was great until the moment when I attached Purdey's lead. You see I hadn't noticed that she had rolled in something and I am actually not sure, on reflection, whether I noticed before or after the deer's breakfast was on my hand. And did it pong, you ask? Well, it took five washes in soapy water and treatment with tomato sauce (useless) and tomato puree (much better) to get rid of the stink....and that was just from my hand! Purdey, the gorgeous little sod, required more drastic treatment and is now, thanks to the tomato puree, a RED Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer. Sarika looked on with regal disdain at the chaos and also increased her human vocabulary somewhat, doberdog was, yes that is right, sleeping. Today we thought we had better send over some dog friendly bleach so that, if you are lucky enough to find and roll in some deer poo, you can be restored to your former glory without changing colour. Have fun x
Wow, it's been so hot today hasn't it? Can't complain though can we? It's suppose to rain tommorrow. I've been VERY naughty again. Mummy dropped the liquirice bag and I pinched two that fell out, mummy only managed to pull one out of my mouth. She thinks I'm so greedy. I can't help it, they are so yummy. We're waiting for the black pooh now :D. Here's a steak and kidney pie and mash potatoes. Love you always! Alfie xox
Hi Mutley, it is Purdey the Poomonster's SECOND birthday tomorrow, the 29th May. Sarika and Max are dropping off birthday cake and a bottle of pop today so you can have them for breakfast. Enjoy x
Hi Mutley, today the girls and dobes are sending over a large matchbox. Open it very carefully because in it you will find a rather large live beetle found by Purdey yesterday morning. We are sending it over in hope that you will know what to do with it because it is scaring the living daylights out of Purdey, Sarika and Mr Wimp (ie me!). I think Max is actually pretending to be asleep so that he doesn't have to get involved! PS I'm having a "seventies" moment (not age, just the decade) and have made a lemon meringue pie, so a piece of that is enclosed too (but not in the matchbox because that beetle is so SCARY. Have fun x.
oh dear we are so behind with our treats blame mr richard branson!!got our letter ready to send to him and hope he knows that because of his terrible internet service we have missed out visiting all our friends!!well we have been good girls as usual its mum that has been naughty he,he, silly sausage forgot she had the car yesterday when she was out shopping and came back in a taxi!!only for dad to go a funny colour and wonder where the car was???needless to say dad had to go in the taxi to get the car back only thing was it was parked in asda car park(have you ever seen the size of asda car park ?he,he,)well mum said at least dad got some excercise he,he,though i dont think dad was happy even when mum saw the funny side he,he,but he must have forgiven her as he made her breakfast in bed, managed to grab some egg and toast for you and a huge bonio just for being our best friend and gypsy has brought you in a rather chewed slipper not her fault it was left lying on the floor!see you soon luv and woofs xxx*rosie, gypsy,&angel sasha*xxx
Hi Mutley, what a fabulous weekend here. Glorious sunshine and warm too, tracks dry and doggies mud free. Saturday's party went well, the canine threesome behaved beautifully (it is difficult to resist the girlies when they lay their heads on your lap and look adoringly at you - interesting that it always seemed to happen when sausages were being scoffed!), and yesterday we all went to a BBQ, more yummy food. Today the girls, who have just had a seriously good playtime at Bramshill (new pics), and dobes are dropping off weekend leftovers - scallops wrapped in bacon, chicken and bacon burgers and vodka and orange trifle. Hang on a minute, I will just have another spoonful of that trifle - Hmmm, that's better. Have fun x
Hi Mutley, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Mutley, the girlie gundogs reminded me of my long lost youth today because they were chasing birds. Their targets, unlike mine in the good old days, were of the feathered variety (have no fear my ornithological friends, the bells on the girlies collars act as a very effective early warning system) with magpies and pigeons on the agenda. All the creeping, pointing and "I am invisible" positions adopted were very amusing to watch and brought back "David in the disco" memories - most of which were very painful and I am not just talking about the resultant arthritis. In their new role as a David Tribute Ensemble called "Remember the (a number I am not going to tell you, you'll have to guess)ties" the girls and doberdog are today dropping off a pair of bottle green velvet flares, a pink floral shirt, a tank top and some Brut aftershave. Hmmmmm on reflection those could explain a great deal, particularly the "lack of success"!!! Have fun x
Hi Mutley, how are you? Sarika did a somersault/back flip on Sunday, I shall call the move a "Purdey" which is also a bit of a clue as to the outcome. She was chasing a tennis ball which bounced over her head, in her excitement she leapt in the air and did a back flip after the ball .........and landed straight in something disgusting. I think that it had previously "belonged" to a deer or a badger! Sarika was and remains mortified, she is after all a LADY and so was/am I, because, somehow or other, I ended up with some of it on me. I am simply not articulate enough to describe the awfulness of the stench, not without using a fair number of swearwords anyway. Ugh..Ugh..and treble Ugh!!! Thank goodness for tomato puree (Sarika) and anti bacterial handwash (me)and the washing machine (my clothes). And Purdey clearly smiled when she saw what had happened to both Her Majesty and me (her slave), she was also quite clearly trying to work out how to get some of the pong by rolling on Sarika and/or me. Today's treat therefore is an absolute essential now, a non-bouncing tennis ball. And I am off to check my hands again. Have fun x
Hi Mutley, how are you today? A quick visit from us because I've got a new camera, the sun is shining and the supermodels, Sarika and Purdey, are ready to pose. I am very pleased to say that Mrs Davidmh seems to have forgiven me, I was allowed in the house last night, albeit only the kitchen. All because of my plan to recycle dogs hair into hair pieces for slap heads (ie me and Max). As some have probably guessed, she hadn't heard the word "virtual" when I explained about the numerous tons of hair that the wonderful DoggySnappers were sending over. Phew. BUT I THINK I MIGHT HAVE A REAL PROBLEM NOW because this morning the postman actually delivered a parcel of dog hair (black and white). OOPS. I think I might be up-that-creek I cannot mention, without a paddle. Today the doggies are delivering a paddle to you so I know where one is if I end up up-that-creek I cannot mention and they are also delivering a baked potato with Thai green prawn curry and spinach, because that is what I ate last night and it was yummy. Which also explains why my diet restarts next week! Enjoy x
happy easter mutley(shh mums sneaked on as dad is sleeping)we wont tell if you wont!we will be back soon we promise mum is getting a bit stronger, though shes a bit down as its sasha's 9th birthday today and it will be one year on monday since she went to rainbow bridge we are trying to keep her spirits up see you soon luv and woofs rosie&gypsy xxxxxx
