Hi Sam. My nasty horrible human has put me on a diet. She says I'm a big fat bloater. Just because I am a little but chunkier than the beagles she saw at Crufts!!! So I am on short rations and longer walks (but it's OK cos the humans next door put toast out on their bird table and it blows off into our garden, so I use that to supplement my meagre rations. I also managed to sneak one of the big humans sandwiches yesterday whilst he wasn't looking - I don't think he noticed.........he's not as vigilant as the short one). Anyway Sam, stick with it - I am sure your humans have your best interests at heart even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes!!!!! Lots of Love Charlie xXxXxX

Hiya, a beagle dog should weigh 15 kilo's. Charlie weighs 16kg!! I feed him foldhill complete dried and he gets a nearly full mug twice a day. Your best bet is to follow the feeding guidelines for a 15kg dog on the food you are giving him - and feed a bit less if you want him to lose weight. If you are giving him treats you should also cut down his food - or use some of his food allowance as treats. Bear in mind that a castrated dog needs 10% less food than an entire one. Good luck!!!
