Hi Sam, tip to self(1)....be more careful when lifting and turning with a full bucket of water. No, I didn’t spill it on the floor, in fact I rather wish I had....instead I have ended up with a prolapsed disc in my lower spine. And yes, it was OUCH (amongst other words) then, OUCH now and OUCH for some time to come. At least the doggies are all “in the pink”...well, actually the girlie gundogs, the Princessliness Sarika and Purdey the Poomonster, are in the not surprisingly MUD COLOURED BROWN (the paths and tracks round here being filthy at the moment) and Max, well Max is in a bed which I suppose could be pink but is actually BLUE. Anyway they join their injured slave in sending their regards. And finally, one for the anglers.....Two parrots are sitting on a perch. One turns to the other and says "Can you smell fish?" xx
helo sam !! how are you today, mum had us all out today for a good run around the park. i found some nice poo to roll in and then called for tess and abi to come over and have a roll too. we had a brilliant time, then mum took us home and bathed us all, not so good
Hi Sam!!! How are you today? well it's raining cats and dogs here and is cold :( we've not been up to much today!! mummys turned the heating on so think we'll have a day of snuggling up and keeping warm. Leaving you a mug of tea :) love Dinky, Jinx and Frankie xxxxx
Hi Sam, today a tip for the humans. If you decide to ponce yourself up a bit with a quick squirt of Armani Code (men’s version, he added quickly!!!)....well you never know who you might meet on a “walkies”, it could be one of those SIMPLY GORGEOUS LADIES FROM DOGGYSNAPS.....anyway, to continue....make sure that the NOZZLE is not pointing at your eye. Because BLOODY HELL, ARMANI CODE STINGS!!!! (Note to self....must wear glasses when applying aftershave). TYPICALLY the girlie gundogs and dobes, who are all fine, were no support to their aged human slave in his time of need but were seen sniggering behind their paws at his pain and, in particular, his use of the English language! So it is love to you lot from them and the currently partly blind but actually now also very fragrant me. X
Hi Sam, hear you are feeling a little poorly, I hope your v*t appointment goes well this afternoon, sorry we cannot be of help, sending you healing thoughts, and we hope your tummy feels better, Love and wags Anubis and Ashlar xxxxx
Hi Sam , well it's another wet and miserable day in Manchester. Granny is poorly with another bad migraine, mummy sent her back to bed and is worried about her, she'll go and check on here later, shes leaving her to sleep for abit now. We enjoyed a nice and quiet weekend, the sun was out yesterday but it was still very chilly. Jinx ws abit better on her walkies yesterday, but still quite nervous, poor thing, we had cooked chicken for tea last night, we all waited and watched patiently as mummy demolished the carcus for us yummy, and none of us lifted our heads out of the bowl until it was all gone yummy, we saved some for our doggysnaps friends, so enjoy :) love Dinky, Jinx and Frankie xxxxxx
ps. please would you vote for Jinx as LOTM :) xxx
Hi Sam, so the walk went really well. The wind was blowing a gale and seemed to have dried up most of the tracks, despite the recent torrential rain. There were some nasty filthy puddles where the muddy water was black but otherwise all was great. My gorgeous Purdey (I absolutely adore her really) was a darling, a paragon of virtue, a simply well behaved girlie, no noxious things were subjected to her backstroke, no none at all, it was a MIRACLE really. And as for the Princessliness, well Sarika was as always “mad as a box of frogs”, full of beans and fun. She always sticks close to me on our walks unless there is a leaf, moth, butterfly, JUMBO JET etc to chase. Wonderful. So I bent down to give them both a kiss (yes, I know I am a soppy old sod) and was immediately engulfed in girlie gundogs. Their paws were round my neck, they were in my arms, everywhere, and I got subjected to the treatment, licks and kisses. I love those moments, they are so very precious.......I am not sure when I remembered that they both had spent a bit of very recent time in one of those “nasty filthy puddles” previously mentioned. Was it before or after I noticed the condition of my clothes? Suffice to say that Max is currently watching the washing machine do its thing. AND THAT BEGS THE QUESTION..is watching it hypnotising him, it is on so often, so he is not really asleep he is actually in a trance? Hmmmmmm. I wonder how you tell. AND FINALLY...A man went to into an hardware store and picked up a can of fly spray. "Is this good for wasps?" he asked the assistant. "No, it kills them" was the reply.
Hi Sam, well..........mum's mad!! Visit our kennel to find out why! ..Lets just say we are now 4 instead of 3! LOL :0) Well we're glad the fireworks are over, they dont bother us but we know they do scare some other doggies, i hope you wernt scared. Mum has been working her butt of all week at work and is glad to be putting her feet up and relaxing this weekend. Her car broke down on friday on the way home from work and she had the RAC out to rescue her, apparently the engine mountings have gone, well i dont know what that is but i do know that she is using daddys prized BMW for work this week until hers is fixed, and i know daddy is worried as he says mum is not a good driver! Well we are leaving you a big rack of lamb and some creme brulee and lots of kisses xxx Love Kia, Leia, Tara & .........Dylan xxxxxx
Hi Sam, today the girlie gundogs and dobes, who are all well if a bit muddy, are delivering a joke. It is probably an oldie but I have only just heard it and it made me laugh..... A doctor says to his patient, “I have bad news and worse news”. “Oh dear, what's the bad news?” asks the patient. The doctor replies, “You only have 24 hours to live.”“That's terrible”, said the patient. “How can the news possibly be worse? ”The doctor replies, “I've been trying to contact you since yesterday.”....Ho Ho....right, I am off to power wash the patio x
Hi Sam, how are you? hope you've had a great weekend, ours has been sort of quiet, we had no trick or treaters on Friday, but we have had some noisy fireworks, we aren't botherd by them, we like to go into the garden and watch but the nieghbours behind were letting them off, so mummy wouldn't let us out incase 1 flew over, which it did and daddy found it this morning, so daddy quickly put it in the bin before we could try and eat it hehe ;p mummy been watching the soaps and catching up on her letters, she's all done now :) she got some more birthday cards/pressies on Friday, but has been good and left them alone hehe ;p leaving you a cuppa to keep you nice and warm :)
love Dinky, Jinx and Frankie xxxxx
Hi Sam, how are you. Did you have a good Halloween weekend? We had fun, mummy dressed me up and i went trick or treating with Lauren, it was fun but i couldnt understand why people kept filling her basket with human children treats and not puppy treats? It was ok though as when we got home Lauren gave me and Leia a Jumbone each....yum!! Mum and dad were a bit crazy though, they dressed up funny as they were going to what she called a fancy dress party, mum was dressed as a witch and had green hair and her nails were all long and glowing, she looked scary, dad looked funny too he was dressed up as jack sparrow from pirates of the pirates of the caribean film. When uncle dave (mums brother) came to pick them up, i was really scared, he was dressed as a frankenstein monster, so me and leia wouldnt stop barking and growling at him, until he took his mask off and we saw it was him. I am glad it's all over....phew. Just firework night now on wednesday, but mum says it is nothing to worry about, Leia is not bothered by it so i think i'll be fine, mum makes sure all the windows are shut and we just lie in the living room and watch tv with her so we will be safe. Anyway, leaving you a big roast beef and yorkshire pudding sunday dinner with extra gravey as your treat today, Love Kia, Leia and baby pup Tara xxxx
Hi Sam, it is HALLOWEEN, a time for trick OR treat. Well the girlie gundogs, dobes and I are not going to do that.......we are going to deliver to everyone a trick AND a treat AND a surprise. The SURPRISE is that Max has woken up. I have also managed to get him on a video with the girlies. Apologies, should you watch it, for the twit sounding commentary but Purdey decided to lick my head during filming. I bet Steven Spielberg doesn’t have that problem! The TREAT is a virtual fillet of beef. I know it isn’t as yummy as a real one but “it is the thought that counts”. (Hmm). And now for the TRICK. I have been practising this so I hope I get it right.....I have a pack of cards here.....SHUFFLE, SHUFFLE, CUT, SHUFFLE......now you pick a card, remember it, put it back so I cannot see it......SHUFFLE, SHUFFLE, CUT, SHUFFLE.....now watch....1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.....and the 10th card is the......7 of clubs!!!!!!!!! HOW BRILLIANT IS THAT???? Me MAD? Probably.x
Hi Sam, building HDS WOOF (the doggies only BARK) is hard work. So far the girlie gundogs and I have collected seventeen twigs, four leaves, some cardboard with brown sticky tape attached, a piece of string, a plastic bag and a dead pigeon. I am struggling to work out what to do with the pigeon. We also very nearly collected a live deer but that’s another story (naughty Purdey!). At least the girlies make up with their enthusiasm for their complete lack of appreciation of what we actually need for boat building. The same cannot be said for dobes who frankly I blame for not briefing them properly. He says he has been too busy sleeping, watching repeats of DEAL OR NO DEAL or doing the TIMES crossword. In the circumstances I think that we’d all better hope for a DROUGHT this winter! Anyway, guess what you are getting today....that’s right...the TIMES crossword (three clues to do)....and OK then.....you get the pigeon too. Have fun x
Hi Sam, I thought I should let you know that Sarika, Purdey and I (dobes is directing operations from his bedroom) are now collecting wood. We have seven twigs so far, which isn’t as many as I expected but it is not my fault that the girlie gundogs got distracted by some slugs. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT? Well, we have had a great deal of rain here and as, apparently, we have a wet winter coming it seems a good time to get going on the HDS (His David’s Ship) WOOF...... AND TO BRING NEW DOGGIES UP TO SPEED........this is the doggies only BARK we are building so all doggies can cope with any flooding (I was going to call it an ARK but then thought “No er, someone has already done that”). Anyway, a virtual ticket for our maiden voyage is enclosed; however, following the twig collecting, the date of the voyage is as yet uncertain x
Hi Sam, grumpy David here again. On our walk in the fields this morning I found four nappy sacks full of dog poo. What is that all about? If people can be bothered to clear up after their dogs (hooray) then why on earth can’t they be bothered to take the bags away with them? Could someone please explain that to me? It would be better if they actually didn’t collect the poo at all, at least then the rain etc could do its work, rather than bag it and leave it. There’s definitely NOWT AS QUEER AS FOLK. Moan over. The girlie gundogs and dobes, all in fine fettle if slightly muddy, join me in sending you something for the weekend, a piece of my just made banoffi pie. Enjoy x
Hi Sam. Well its just me Leia today as poor Kia has kennel cough, mum has her snuggled up in warm blankets on the sofa, hopefully she will get well soon. Mum is making us stay seperate and i dont like it, i want to be with kia so i keep whining when she shuts kia away from me :0(.....although she has given me a big bone to keep me busy! We went to pets at home yesterday to get lots of things for our new baby sister Tara for when we pick her up in 4 weeks time, and they have all the doggie christmas prezzies in, so mum got carried away and spent too much....as usual! She has got us lots of nice things though, she wouldnt let me look as they are for christmas, but i had my nose in the bag on the way home in the car! She did give me this nice ham bone though, yummy yummy! I just wish Kia would hurry up and get better as i really missed not having her with us on our walk this morning, i had nobody to chase around, and as much as i tried, mum wouldnt run in the mud with me....i dont get humans, whats not to like about mud? Anyway, leaving you a big bowl of hot beef stew and lots of kisses xxx Love Leia, Kia, and Tara xx
Hiya Sam, how are you on this dull and windy day? lets just hope that when we go out on walkis, our mummys keep tight hold of our leads, or else we might blow away ;p saying that although we are small we are pretty sturdy teehee, we're not fat, just well built!! well mummy and daddy and granny went to the cinema last night, so we had a play and sleep while they were out, we were very happy to see them when they got home and were running up and down the hallway like loons ;p (makes a change from mummy doing it) ;p
Mummys headache has come back, she's started her old painkillers for it, so hopefully that'll help her!
We're looking forward to watching Katie and Peter tonight with mummy and then she's going to watch The Prestige on dvd :) she likes Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, me and Frankie are looking forward to drooling over Scarlett Johanson teehee, leaving you cuddles and a cuppa ;p

Hi Sam, why, after we have a bit of rain, is the mud on our previously dry field paths two inches deep? On the subject of MUD, I have decided I would like to reincarnate Flanders and Swann who composed and sang the song “Mud Mud, Glorious Mud”. If they and their friend THE HIPPOPOTAMUS think that MUD is so great then they can bloody well turn up on my doorstep with buckets of soapy warm water and sponges and give me a hand cleaning two deliriously happy and very dirty girlie gundogs. It would serve them, F and S and the Hippo, right (plus I would like to see a HIPPO trying to hold a sponge let alone give a wash to her princessliness very skitty knickers Sarika!!!!). Today I am sending over a small lamb and a peppermint flavoured striped hard boiled sweet.........................they are a clue to the appropriate words for my GRUMPY OLD MAN mood.......BAH HUMBUG!!!! Dobes slept through the chaos so, like him, I am off to have a lie down now! x
