Hello there young ladies... Its very cold here all weekend. Hope you are nice and cosy... We had a lovely weekend apart from mom put silly hats on us and took photos, boy, we were not impressed!!! Mom just laughed, grrrr... we got nice treats after it though... Leaving you slices of ham. Trust us, its lovely. Hello to the four little girly buddies... We hope you are in great form and enjoying the weekend. Its a lovely fine day here in Wexford. We are playing and doing our usual basset stuff... Levi eating beds, then Mom sews them, Then Luke gets excited to see the bed back and is always first to lie on it and so the circle continues... lol.. Not too long now till Christmas, holidays... Hi there, thanks for the stew and dumplings, smashing, it went down a treat. We certainly need some nice hot meals as it's been so cold and wet here. We are still getting out alot but mum is fed up with all the mud and mess from us at the moment and is hoping for some dry weather soon. She always seems to have a mop in her hands these days!!!! Tomorrow we are getting our fur washed and cut so that might help with the mess. Hope we don't get it cut too short as our bum's will get cold. It doesn't half blow down on the seafront. Brrrrr...!! Things are still pretty busy around here. Baby Lily came to see us today with her mummy and stopped for lunch, she was crying alot and me and Alfie wanted to sniff and lick her but as usual we weren't allowed. Alfie did pinch Lily's sock though when it fell off her foot and ran away with it, cheeky boy, it was all wet and soggy when mum finally got it back off him. How did Bonfire night go at your end.....we were a bit scared and when a really loud bang went off Alfie ran behind a big yucca in the corner of the lounge and I ran to dad. Mum and dad played with us to take our mind off it all and we soon forgot about the noise. We have been in trouble tonight and dad put Alfie in his cage for a while and I was told to get in my bed as we got so excited and wouldn't calm down. Dad was very cross and said we are too much at times, I think he was just tired after being at work and wanted a bit of piece and quiet. After a while Alfie came out of his cage and we just played quiet with our toys, it was abit boring but we thought we had better be good. We are sending over a nice fish pie for you all, mum made it for tea tonight. Call by soon to see us, have lots of fun all of you. Love Lucy and Alfie...xxx

Hello there. It's Lucy and Alfie, sorry we haven't been around for ages but our mum never seems to have the time these days to get on the computer. What with our daily walks and the new baby, also people viewing the house she never seems to get a minute. Anyway we have just got back in from our morning walk around the seafront and mum is having a coffee and a bite to eat so we asked her to drop by and say "Hello" before you forget we exist. How are things at your end, all OK we hope. Everybody is well here and me and Alfie are getting on great. He seems to be settling down alot now and is not at my tail so much these days. My operation went really well and I was such a good patient. My scar has nearly gone now and I'm back to me old self. It's Alfie's turn next. Nobody's told him yet about losing his bits!!!!! What a shock that will be. The new baby has been to our house alot and we are very curious and keep wanting to sniff her, she smells nice, alot better than that Alfie. I got abit jealous at first as mum was holding her alot so I sloped off to my bed and just watched what was going on. As long as she doesn't eat my treats I can deal with it. Off for a snooze now as we walked along way today. Sending over some stew and dumplings. See you all soon. Love Lucy and smelly Alfie...xxx

Breakfast for you this morning... The Bassets made their own breakfast this morning. Levi stole a large bread roll from the work-top that Mom had forgotten to put away and they lay down at either end of it and ate until they met in the middle!! What do you think of that?
