Hi Gracie, well it's another wet and miserable day in Manchester. Granny is poorly with another bad migraine, mummy sent her back to bed and is worried about her, she'll go and check on here later, shes leaving her to sleep for abit now. We enjoyed a nice and quiet weekend, the sun was out yesterday but it was still very chilly. Jinx ws abit better on her walkies yesterday, but still quite nervous, poor thing, we had cooked chicken for tea last night, we all waited and watched patiently as mummy demolished the carcus for us yummy, and none of us lifted our heads out of the bowl until it was all gone yummy, we saved some for our doggysnaps friends, so enjoy :) love Dinky, Jinx and Frankie xxxxxx ps. please would you vote for Jinx as LOTM :) xxx

Hi Gracie, building HDS WOOF (the doggies only BARK) is hard work. So far the girlie gundogs and I have collected seventeen twigs, four leaves, some cardboard with brown sticky tape attached, a piece of string, a plastic bag and a dead pigeon. I am struggling to work out what to do with the pigeon. We also very nearly collected a live deer but that’s another story (naughty Purdey!). At least the girlies make up with their enthusiasm for their complete lack of appreciation of what we actually need for boat building. The same cannot be said for dobes who frankly I blame for not briefing them properly. He says he has been too busy sleeping, watching repeats of DEAL OR NO DEAL or doing the TIMES crossword. In the circumstances I think that we’d all better hope for a DROUGHT this winter! Anyway, guess what you are getting today....that’s right...the TIMES crossword (three clues to do)....and OK then.....you get the pigeon too. Have fun x

Hi Gracie, I thought I should let you know that Sarika, Purdey and I (dobes is directing operations from his bedroom) are now collecting wood. We have seven twigs so far, which isn’t as many as I expected but it is not my fault that the girlie gundogs got distracted by some slugs. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT? Well, we have had a great deal of rain here and as, apparently, we have a wet winter coming it seems a good time to get going on the HDS (His David’s Ship) WOOF...... AND TO BRING NEW DOGGIES UP TO SPEED........this is the doggies only BARK we are building so all doggies can cope with any flooding (I was going to call it an ARK but then thought “No er, someone has already done that”). Anyway, a virtual ticket for our maiden voyage is enclosed; however, following the twig collecting, the date of the voyage is as yet uncertain x

Hi Gracie, I had a big decision to make today....decorating or DoggySnaps? Well, that didn’t take long.....so here we are! All is quiet here at the moment, the three doggies are all clean and fragrant and being well behaved, in fact they have been all weekend. The bucket of soapy water and I simply do not know what to do with ourselves. WORRYING isn’t it. No doubt something will happen soon, the girlie gundogs, Purdey and, dare I say it, Sarika will do something featuring another animal’s poo and/or Max will wake up and do his John Travolta Saturday Night Fever dance routine which is quite good if a bit bizarre!!!!. Before something does happen I will drop off some emulsion paint and some wallpaper just in case you or your human, unlike me, want to do some decorating (and also so I cannot change my mind) x

Hi Gracie, EVEN MORE SHOCK HORROR AWE FILLED SENSATIONAL NEWS.................A WEEKEND FREE OF POO ROLLING! Extraordinarily the girlie gundogs did not clothe themselves in things noxious over the weekend. Walkies meant walkies not walkies and washies. I know that you are now asking yourself... HAVE they turned over a new leaf? HAS Sarika realised that her Princessliness status could be at stake? HAS the Poomonster abdicated? CAN Sainsbury cancel David’s order for tomato puree? HAVE the girlies taken pity on their aged human slave? HAVE recycled animal dinners had their day, fashion wise? SADLY I think the answer to all these important questions is......NO. It is all down to the farmer. For the farmer and tractors have been busy in our fields...ploughing, harrowing and seeding or simply topping. All the piles of Purdey’s favourite “was an animal meal once” have been squished, squashed and specked and spread. The fields are a POO FREE ZONE. I felt a deep emotional attachment to the farmer...I stood in the field shouting I LOVE YOU at a tractor, the police were called, the doctor says I will get better, just not sure when!!! Anyway, enough of my problems, not surprisingly, today’s treat is a tractor..... Max was going to drive it over but remembered, just in time, that a) he does not have a licence and b) he is a bit blind so the tractor (I love you tractor) is in the post. Have fun. X

Hi Gracie, all is quiet here. The kennel remains in a state of astonishment after the princessliness and the poo rolling incident. Sarika remains embarrassed. So many questions...Is she still a princess? Is she the new poomonster? Can a princess be a poomonster? Can a poomonster be queen? What is the Hungarian word for poomonster? I HAVE ALSO SPOTTED PURDEY WINKING AT SARIKA AND GIGGLING BEHIND HER PAW ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, THE SMUG LITTLE SOD. Max has yet to offer an opinion, remaining asleep, surprise surprise, although I think that he is pretending to be asleep to avoid confrontation, A TYPICAL MALE! The good news is that my kennel now works properly...HOORAY...but I had to take all my pics off which was a pity because I was really proud that they had been favourited so many times. Anyway I will hopefully sort and upload some new ones over the weekend. Today I am delivering for all the doggies a kiss, a cuddle and a bonio and for the slaves a slice of the treacle tart I have just made, with clotted cream of course. Have fun. x

Hi Gracie, what a lovely weekend, perhaps THAT was our long awaited summer? We walked up the Thames a couple of times and much fun was had by all....well, except perhaps for the duck which Purdey chased.....or the tennis ball which Sarika managed to sink.... it is a tough life being a tennis ball round here! The weekend’s big news was that Sarika and Purdey found a new friend who we are calling Tommy (pic in kennel if you can get there!). Max hasn’t met Tommy (who might even be a prince, who knows) because dobes opted for sleep rather than exercise. Because of Tommy the girlies are sending over a HALL.....Purdey wanted to send mouthwash too but that is her problem, serves her right for picking up Tommy with her mouth......all will become obvious, hopefully. Have fun x

Hi Gracie, hope you are well. We are back from our holiday in Lincolnshire and we all had a very good time, we will add some photos soon, the dogs especially enjoyed Skegness beach all that sand as it's just pebbles were we are and it was dog friendly. Now for the news on Jacks x-ray, the vet said he has a torn ligament or something in his knee and scar tissue so it wont get any better (not sure what it all means can anyone explain) and he also has artheritis in his hips so he is now on metacam for the rest of his life as it keeps the inflamation down and so relives the pain. Bubble and squeak is your treat for today xxx
