thank riley for the therepeutic elbow lick. each day more "comfortable". fingers crossed x-ray on friday will show fracture has stayed stable, and i can have a nice full plaster cast instead of this back slab.....might then be able to chuck liffey's toys / balls again, albeit with 'tother hand! (should be interesting!) xxx

Hi,
Thanks so much for your message and for asking how things went. Well it's been such a strange day starting off by my Husband taking Sam outside this morning and then suggesting we all go for a walk in the woods. Sam is my dog and hubby isn't a dog lover! Anyway, sam was spoilt rotten. We did take him to the vet who said the same as the other one, he has no quality of life and advised us to put hime to sleep. It was the worst thing I have ever had to do and words can’t describe how I feel now. Even my husband was upset and said he’s missing Sam. I guess I know deep down it was the right thing to do but part of me still feels so guilty. The vet had to make 3 injections before his heart stopped, which made me feel like Sam was still fighting, sorry for being a bit graffic but I’m guessing you have been through this before and may know if this is normal or not.
Thanks again x
