Hi Barley. It was the Hearing Dogs summer fayre on sunday, and I know "someone" must have put the order in for the glorious sun we were blessed with! :) There were so many people there, many with dogs, some not. I didn't know what to do first when we arrived, roll round in all the new meadow smells or say "hi" to all the dogs and their humans! Mum paid for two balloons to be put in a race in our names, so if I win I get £30 of John Lewis vouchers! I wonder what sort of things he has in his shop...... Are they tasty to you think? Today is also sunny, but Mum says she is still recovering from yesterday... She's a bit red in places too... forgot to make sure she had some sun cream! But thankfully there were plenty of shady areas which I helped her find (can't take the sun too much myself, though I do love it). Human sis and her friend enjoyed it too, won some things as well as buying things too. All good, lots of money to help more dogs like me. :) My old trainer found me too! I was so happy to see her. She did come to my new home about a year after I came home, and I wasn't "really" sure who she was then.... But seeing her at the centre it all clicked into place! I remembered! I think I recognised some of the other Hearing Dogs too..... Mum wondered if we were all in training together. TV vet Joe Inglis was there selling his own dog food and treats. So I am dropping them round as we visit kennels. Big hugs. Liffey. xxxx
Hi Barley. What a lovely picture. Hope you are well. Mum now knows what I would look like if I were a chocolate dog! I found a really filthy muddle (muddy puddle) the other day and thoroughly indulged! :D It was really sticky mud too, so she had no option but to put me in the shower and bath me. This was a new thing, we got rid of our bath last summer. Now we have a big shower instead. It went better than she expected, and of course, when I shook, it was mainly contained inside the cubicle. Only thing was, as she reached up to change the angle of the shower the water ran along her arm and into her sleeve! Ha ha! (Why should I be the only one to get wet!) She also used an old icecream carton, which she filled and sploshed on the bits the shower couldn't reach. I went in black, and came out beautiful! Well worth the effort I made...(!) Have a great weekend, don't over-indulge! Here's some dog friendly chocolate for you. Hugs. Liffey. xxx
