Well it's been a rotten fortnight so forgive me for not visiting. I've had ANOTHER bout of gastroenteritis, mum had a bad reaction to antibiotics and now gran has to go for an emergency appointment at the hospital on the 10th December! So we could do with some hugs.....Love Kim. xxxxx
Hiya! Well I've had a lovely day. A long walk by the canal trying to get at the ducks and geese. I nearly pulled gran in at one point - hee hee! Then we went to my favourite pet store and I met five dogs. Three were smaller than me so I wagged my tail but two were bigger. I wasn't sure at first but they were soooo goofy that I decided they were OK and had a good sniff and tail wagging session. Mum and gran were so pleased that I didn't growl or lunge that I got yet another toy! That's three I've had this weekend. Apparently I'm 'spoilt' whatever that means. Anyway we came home, I de-fluffed my toy and had a good snooze. Love Kim.xxxx
Well I've finally pinned down 'the human' and demanded she visited all my friends on my behalf! Things have been quiet here with only one or two BIG BANGS (nasty fireworks). So, I've HAD to bark constantly at them (well you do don't you?). Mum called me a little ****** today because I destroyed yet another new toy she bought me - hee hee. Leaving the remains of my raggy dog for you to finish off. Love Kim.xx
Hiya. Well nothing much to report here apart from rain, rain and yet more rain! It was nice yesterday so we went for a looooong walk but today it's back to 'normal'....I now have webbed paws! Sending you a rubber duck to play with, love Kim.xxxx
Hello! So sorry I've not visited for a while - blame mum who was busy making a video of my big sister Mandy (and then gave herself a really bad headache that lasted days)....So, I've been allowed to raid the cupboards for treats and I'm sending a sausage casserole, Doggingtons bitter and an ice cream sundae for you! Lots of love, Kim. xxxxx
being an extra special good girl today as gran is not very well at all with a horrible wheezy chest and bad cold. Despite this, dear old gran has taken me out twice already! Mum is really worried about her as she's a stubborn old bird! So, I am not going to beg her to play football or throw my ball. I'm going to wait for mum to come home from work and beg her instead!! Mum says I have to be extra good this weekend as she will be taking care of gran. Do you think I can be good for all that time??? Hmmmmmm. Sending you a big hug, love Kim.xxx
It's WEEKEND - Yippeee! Mum's home with me for two whole days and I don't leave her side - hee hee! Despite the furcut, I still love her. So, much so, I decided to bring a flea in and cuddled up to mum just in time for it to jump on her! She's fast is my mum and it was squashed in no time (YUK).....Sending you some yummy ham rolls I managed to pick up tonight. Lots of love Kim.xxxx
Hiya! Well I've been very reluctant to go out today due to a) the heat and b) the fact that mum fancied herself as a professional dog groomer and scalped me yesterday - leaving lots of long bits and marks where she went a bit haywire! I mean, what's a girl to do when she doesn't look her best anymore? Mum said she's going to try and 'even me up a bit' later but for now I'm hiding upstairs..........Love Kim.xxx
Hiya! Well today after my usual walkies, I had to supervise mum and gran whilst they dug up the garden and made a raised bed of flowers. There's two plants there called 'Scaredy Cat' which STINK and mum says they'll keep the pesky cats out (she hopes). So, I was having a lovely time lying on the grass in the sunshine (YES SUNSHINE!!!) watching the humans work. I didn't get my night time walkies 'cos mum couldn't move she hurts so much, but I wasn't bothered. It's tiring watching them work so I'm off for a snooze but sending you the rest of the treacle toffee that mum's been stuffing her face with! Love Kim.xxxxx
Well I think I'm going to grow wings and webbed feet because I'm sick of getting wet! When is this weather going to end??? I've not much to tell at the moment - lots of wet, muddy walks, lots of wash downs and towel wipes (boo) and lots of sleeping on mum's bed in the afternoon (hurrah)! Sending some waterproof boots and an umbrella for you. Love Kim.xxxxx
Mum got quite emotional today as she had learnt to use her scanner and uploaded lots of photos of my big sister Mandy who I never met. Wish I had, she sounded lovely....sending you some ham I found on the street today - tastes great with the dirt in it!! Love Kim.xxxx
Hi Nijinsky, how are you, soon to be numb gum David here today. I managed to break a front tooth vertically again yesterday, it serves me right for eating broken biscuit cake straight from the fridge (I blame she who has just got back from university, I hid the cake so she wouldn't pinch it!). "That is a very crunchy biscuit" I thought until I found the gap in my tooth. I am temporarily being referred to as FANG but at least my soon-to-be visited dentist is beautiful. All is well here otherwise, glorious weather and all the doggies are enjoying life. As a treat we are sending over a bit of broken biscuit cake (if you find any very crunchy bits perhaps you could let me have them back) x
Hello my dear friend (alias Mr Gin) just dropped by with the news that I now only have 8 weeks till my new puppy sister arrives home. I am so excited, I can't wait.
It's a public holiday here today in Sydney so mum is home all day with me YIPPEE...... we are going to spend the day watching dvd's as it is raining so hard out side and not nice to go walking in. Mum has got my blanket and pillow on the couch all ready to snuggle up in and watch a movie so I will say cheerio for now an would like to share my popcorn and ice cream as a treat for you. Love and Licks from Douglas xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hiya. I had a LOVELY time on my holidays. There were lots of different walks and smells and I met a few fluffy things that mum said were sheep. I wanted to chase them but wasn't allowed! I almost fell in the Llangollen canal twice trying to get to the ducks and it was so funny 'cos gran nearly went in with me! I was sooooo tired by Thursday night that I just crashed out on the sofa in the cottage and couldn't move (mum put a photo of me in my kennel - I didn't even know she'd taken the picture). It's taken me a few days to get over being so tired but now I'm back to my cheeky best. Sending you some fudge and rock that we brought back. Lots of love Kim. xxxx
Well today my tail seems to be straightening out a bit so paws crossed, I don't have to visit the vets next week! It's been a lovely day here today. Mum strimmed and mowed the lawn and I had a great time rolling around in the fresh cut grass. I am now GREEN but mum won't shower me again (phew) as she doesn't want me to hurt my tail. Have a lovely weekend..... Kim.xxxx
Hi Mr G, how are you? Getting older has simply nothing to recommend it, I realised that this morning when I was looking for my glasses. I knew that, being as blind as the proverbial bat, I had absolutely no hope of finding them unless I was actually wearing them, if you SEE what I mean. And I will not mention the senile moments which seem to come now with increasing frequency - did I shut the door? which door? why did I go upstairs? what was that I said I wouldn't forget? And the worrying thing is that I still have the male menopause to come!!!! Anyway, at least the doggies are all flourishing, the girlie gundogs spark each other off and seem to be in a permanent state of puppydom and it is wonderful and long may it last. And although Dobes is obviously beginning to feel his age and is sleeping most of the time, he remains a happy little chap. And none of them have to wear spectacles, the lucky sods. Today the threesome are delivering a bird's feather found by Purdey on our walk, a hair tie (Sarika's favourite toy, she loves it put on her nose) and a duvet (slightly used) from Max...oh yes, and an empty spectacle case. Have fun x
