Hi Scooter, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Scooter,,...today's question...is supermodel status going to Sarika's head? Not only does she, like her "sister", now refuse to get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day but the Laydee of the Month of Lurve rather disgraced herself yesterday. Bear in mind that she is an Hungarian princess - first we had a quite distinct BURP followed shortly afterwards by a very audible BOTTOM BURP - in fact it was so loud she frightened herself and scarpered! It did make me laugh though and for a moment there I thought I was back in my old rugby club!!!! Purdey has always been rather basic (or is the required word normal?) but Sarika, the princess, her ladyship, her most graciousness, has always been rather above such elemental things. The bottom burp was actually fragrant, in fact quite clearly perfumed, so I guess she redeemed herself a tad. Maxwell Doberdog was of course oblivious to it all, being asleep - even the noise did not disturb him. Today the girls and dobes are therefore dropping off some "just in case" treats - earplugs, a cork and a noseclip. Oh yes, they will also chuck in some food because dieting David (ie me) is still fantasizing and therefore I need to mention some yummies - this time it is a fillet steak, rare, with chips and peas and mushrooms and an onion and tomato salad and lots of English mustard and, of course, a cherry bakewell tart again (still dreaming!) and custard, lots of custard! MMMMMMMMMMMM. Have fun x
Hi Scooter, ......all is well in our world today, after a cold start it is already getting sunny and mild, England aren't going to get beaten by Wales at rugby today (perhaps and only because they are not playing!) and we didn't meet any unpleasant cyclists on our walk. We actually met one who, on seeing the dogs nearby, stopped his bike. If he had been a she I would have been inclined to give her a kiss, instead I said "thank you" and he said "absolutely no problem". That is, indeed, more like it. Today I feel in the need to mention some things yummy (because I, dieting David, cannot have them in real life and I do find myself thinking about food rather a lot at the moment) so the girls and doberdog are delivering sausages, beans and mash followed by a Thai red prawn curry followed by a pavlova meringue filled with double cream, pineapple and stem ginger followed by a sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce followed by a very large piece of brie with digestive biscuits. VERY YUMMY. For some bizarre reason last night I had a dream featuring a cherry bakewell tart (enough said!) so you can have one of those too. Have an excellent weekend and lots of fun x
