Well it's been a rotten fortnight so forgive me for not visiting. I've had ANOTHER bout of gastroenteritis, mum had a bad reaction to antibiotics and now gran has to go for an emergency appointment at the hospital on the 10th December! So we could do with some hugs.....Love Kim. xxxxx
Hi Breeze, so the walk went really well. The wind was blowing a gale and seemed to have dried up most of the tracks, despite the recent torrential rain. There were some nasty filthy puddles where the muddy water was black but otherwise all was great. My gorgeous Purdey (I absolutely adore her really) was a darling, a paragon of virtue, a simply well behaved girlie, no noxious things were subjected to her backstroke, no none at all, it was a MIRACLE really. And as for the Princessliness, well Sarika was as always “mad as a box of frogs”, full of beans and fun. She always sticks close to me on our walks unless there is a leaf, moth, butterfly, JUMBO JET etc to chase. Wonderful. So I bent down to give them both a kiss (yes, I know I am a soppy old sod) and was immediately engulfed in girlie gundogs. Their paws were round my neck, they were in my arms, everywhere, and I got subjected to the treatment, licks and kisses. I love those moments, they are so very precious.......I am not sure when I remembered that they both had spent a bit of very recent time in one of those “nasty filthy puddles” previously mentioned. Was it before or after I noticed the condition of my clothes? Suffice to say that Max is currently watching the washing machine do its thing. AND THAT BEGS THE QUESTION..is watching it hypnotising him, it is on so often, so he is not really asleep he is actually in a trance? Hmmmmmm. I wonder how you tell. AND FINALLY...A man went to into an hardware store and picked up a can of fly spray. "Is this good for wasps?" he asked the assistant. "No, it kills them" was the reply.
Hiya! Well I've had a lovely day. A long walk by the canal trying to get at the ducks and geese. I nearly pulled gran in at one point - hee hee! Then we went to my favourite pet store and I met five dogs. Three were smaller than me so I wagged my tail but two were bigger. I wasn't sure at first but they were soooo goofy that I decided they were OK and had a good sniff and tail wagging session. Mum and gran were so pleased that I didn't growl or lunge that I got yet another toy! That's three I've had this weekend. Apparently I'm 'spoilt' whatever that means. Anyway we came home, I de-fluffed my toy and had a good snooze. Love Kim.xxxx
Hi Breeze, I thought I should let you know that Sarika, Purdey and I (dobes is directing operations from his bedroom) are now collecting wood. We have seven twigs so far, which isn’t as many as I expected but it is not my fault that the girlie gundogs got distracted by some slugs. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT? Well, we have had a great deal of rain here and as, apparently, we have a wet winter coming it seems a good time to get going on the HDS (His David’s Ship) WOOF...... AND TO BRING NEW DOGGIES UP TO SPEED........this is the doggies only BARK we are building so all doggies can cope with any flooding (I was going to call it an ARK but then thought “No er, someone has already done that”). Anyway, a virtual ticket for our maiden voyage is enclosed; however, following the twig collecting, the date of the voyage is as yet uncertain x
Hiya Breeze It's nearly weekend YIPPEE. Mum says I'm not allowed to wake her up at 7am on Sunday like I normally do because we apparently get a whole extra hour! One whole hour eh?? Well I'm not spending it in bed. As far as I'm concerned, that's more PLAYTIME!!! Love Kim. xxxx
Good morning Breeze, we hope you have had a wonderful weekend! We have had fun in the garden this weekend, jumping around in the autumn leaves. Sending you a blueberry muffin, and some crunchy autumn leaves (still some crunch left in them) have fun!! Love and wags, your friends Jazz and Harry xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Well I've finally pinned down 'the human' and demanded she visited all my friends on my behalf! Things have been quiet here with only one or two BIG BANGS (nasty fireworks). So, I've HAD to bark constantly at them (well you do don't you?). Mum called me a little ****** today because I destroyed yet another new toy she bought me - hee hee. Leaving the remains of my raggy dog for you to finish off. Love Kim.xx
Hiya. Well sorry I've not been on for a while. I managed to get a big piece of chunky bacon whilst out walking and loved it. It didn't love me though and I've had an upset tummy for a few days. I didn't mind though - I got fed yummy cod and rice for a few days (although the kaolin mixture was yukky!). Still got some fish left over and I'm sending it to you. Love Kim. xxxx
hay there sorry we cant talk long this dam computer just loves to do it own thing we didn't do much today as it was raining once again so me and Jake had carry on in the house and snoozed and we are just chilling tonight what you getting your self up to? leaving you roll in egg luv the gang xx
Hi Breeze, how are you? SHOCK HORROR SENSATIONAL NEWS........ the doggies are all very well but one of them (GUESS WHO?) is in David’s bad books. Did I ever tell you that Purdey can do the “backstroke”...seemingly for a laugh she will travel around in the house on her back, pushing herself along with her hind legs. She really is a clown. Anyway, after being NAMED and SHAMED I thought that she would turn over a new leaf on the poo subject. Well she sort of did......turn over a new leaf........she actually rolled on a leaf yesterday..........unfortunately the leaf was underneath a pile of very fresh deer poo. My heart sank when, having rolled, she then decided to do the “backstroke” on the poo too. And then this person came along and said...”she is covered in it” (I think that was the word).....”thank you” said I. GRRRRRRRRRRR. She has now decided to be a guard dog although her kennel picture is causing me some concern on that subject too. Anyway, today we are sending over a royal wave from the princess, sweet dreams from dobes and, you guessed it, a leaf from Purdey. Have fun x. PS I would handle the leaf with care!
Hiya. Well nothing much to report here apart from rain, rain and yet more rain! It was nice yesterday so we went for a looooong walk but today it's back to 'normal'....I now have webbed paws! Sending you a rubber duck to play with, love Kim.xxxx
Hi Breeze, I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan xx xx
Hiya, guess you will have got Teddy's newsletter but if you haven't it's my birthday on Sunday and you are cordially invited. Mum is making lots of goodies and expect others will bring stuff to eat as well. Look forward to seeing you there. Lots of treats left. Love Willow XXX
Hello! So sorry I've not visited for a while - blame mum who was busy making a video of my big sister Mandy (and then gave herself a really bad headache that lasted days)....So, I've been allowed to raid the cupboards for treats and I'm sending a sausage casserole, Doggingtons bitter and an ice cream sundae for you! Lots of love, Kim. xxxxx
Helloooooo Breeze my dear friend. I'm soooooo sorry for the overdue visit, but I have sooooo many friends to see it takes me such a long time to sniff them all out. I have missed you. Well the weather has stayed dry up till now, but it does look dodgey. Mummy has hung her washing out, but I think she will be bringing it back in shortly. This horrid rain is driving me barking. Well the only consolation is I get to visit all my poochie pals with mummy's help. I'm leaving you a woofalicious toffee apple. Wags, and wet nose kisses Poppy xxxxxxx

Based on the year so far, and the weather forecast, this could have been the summer so it was walkies time along the river with the girlies and, yes, dobes too, although he needed to be carried after 50 yards! Today’s treats, apart from our good wishes and some pork sausages, are a sunshade and, just in case the forecast is correct, an umbrella.
