Hi, Well I’m still not happy with Mum leaving me but after a chat to the dog next door I realise it could be worse (he has to go to kennels with total strangers) at least I’ll be snug in my own home with my human sis. Karla keeps practising her “I need a treat” looks but sometimes she looks more like someone is standing on her paw….. I suppose I’d better show her how its done.. although she’ll never pull it off with the same finesse as a spaniel lol . Well how’s your day going & leaving you a treat, Waggy tails. Belle & Karla xx.
(Belle sneaks out from her sulking position under the dining table to say) Hi, how’s your day going & leaving you a treat, Waggy tails. Belle & Karla xx.
Hi Karla here as Belle is hiding under the dinner table sulking. Mum has got out the BIG bags out and she doesn’t like it one bit. I’ve told her not to worry as we can work on human sis for extra walks & treats while mum & dad are away but thre seems no consoling her. Mum’s not a lot better either she really, really hates flying and all the scareyplane incidents that have happened of late are not helping at all. I’ve six days to work on a really sad expression to use on human sis. Lol Leaving a treat for you, waggy tails Karla & Belle
Hi, Just got back from our walk, gosh there are some glorious puddles out there. Hope you’re having a good weekend too. leaving you a treat, Waggy tails. Belle & Karla xx.
Afternoon Lisa. Hope all is well where you are today! No rain today, and I am pleased to say we have sunshine and brilliant blue skies. Certainly makes a change from all the torrential rain. I had a lovely long walk with mum this morning, and decided to chase a seagull. Well, it was making a funny noise at me and was just asking to be chased, so I had to do as I was asked, didn't I? Hehe! Spoilsport mum shouted me back, and I came running back to her looking absolutely filthy, but very happy with myself! Mum has spoken to my Nana (Katie's mum), and Katie is feeling a lot better today. She is still taking her pills, and is almost back to her normal self. She gave us all a scare, but, thankfully, the pills are working and is looking a lot happier and healthier. Take care my friend, and treat today is sausage, beans and chips. Lotsa love Harvey x x Big licks Katie and Norman x x x
Hi, Sorry we’ve not been around this week but it’s been another chaotic one, first the bad news…. human granddad had a mini stroke, but is recovering really well considering. Now for some good news Human brother has been brought home early from Afghanistan for a promotions course. To be honest we don’t care if he passes of fails it we are just glad he’s safely back in the UK. Paws crossed we may even get to see him soon. We are just popping by with a treat. Take care, Belle, Karla & Mum x x
Hi Lisa & gang, We’re back from our very wet two weeks holiday – there were only two days when it didn’t rain at all, and one of those was the day we came home!!! We spent the first week with family in Cheshire, staying with my sister in law and her little dog Tasha. One of the highlights of the holiday was taking Tasha to the Morley Green Fun Dog Show where she won a third prize rosette in the class called “The dog the judges would most like to take home”! It was her first show and there was some stiff competition so she did very well, although we were hoping she would win Prettiest Bitch or Most Appealing Eyes (a basset hound won that one). It was the first dog show that the humans had been to as well and we all had a great day! The other highlight was meeting Sarah & Sammy (slowie34), Debbie (Debski) and Sandra & the infamous Mr Ben (Brendafattypatty). We had a great lunch at a pub in Cheshire and both dogs behaved very well (apart from minor things such as digging and leg cocking) and the humans had some laughs too!!!
We then headed off down to Cornwall, where we checked up on the house we own in Charlestown and met up with some friends. We also visited two National Trust properties – Trelissick and Cotehele, which have lovely country walks for dogs – we could imagine Fluffy loving them. Unfortunately the weather was terrible while we were down there, we got soaked to the skin in Penzance! My shorts never came out of my suitcase although Nigel was a bit braver and wore his a couple of times.
Our last few days were spent with my sister and her husband in Midsomer Norton, near Bath. They live out in the country and at the present time have one chocolate lab (Milly), one cat (Fuzz), one tortoise (Nigel), and various chickens and guinea fowl. Gill works at a vet so is always rescuing homeless animals. They were also looking after my niece’s Jack Russell puppy Scrumpy (she’s so cute but won’t leave poor Milly alone) and three baby rabbits and the daddy rabbit. Chaos ensued on the last evening when we were all ready to go out for dinner and one of the baby rabbits escaped, four of us were running round the garden trying to catch it! Unfortunately it got out again the next morning and Fuzz got hold of it – luckily Keith managed to rescue it and we hope it’s OK. It should definitely be named Houdini!!! Anyway, it’s nice to be back to some sunshine!
Treat today is fish & chips with mushy peas if you like them. Lots of love from Auntie Fran & Angel Fluffy xxx
Afternoon Lisa. Hope you are well today. It is a beautiful day here - for a change. We actually have blue skies and sunshine! Yay! Mum said she will take me for a long wander this afternoon, but I am suddenly developing one of my "Can't be bothered" moods! Hehe! I shall just lay on my bed and pretend I can't hear her when she says it is Walk time! Hehe! Take care my friend, and treat today is a bowl of tea and three custard creams. Lotsa love Harvey x x Sloppy licks Katie and Norman x x x
Hi, How are you? I hope you had a good weekend. Karla is feeling a lot better now and almost back to her normal bouncing self, Mum has almost got her bark back.. well she barked at Tumnus when he tried bringing a dead bird home lol. She’s still a little sore and Hoarse but well on the mend. Take care, leaving you a treat , Belle, Karla & Mum x
Afternoon Lisa. Hope all is well where you are. A wet and miserable day here. It has been raining all day so far, so I am looking very fluffy after my morning wander! I may get a reprieve this afternoon, as mum said the rain is too heavy for me to go out in. I translated that to mean mum doesn't want to get soaked, so we are in for the rest of the day! I don't care, as I would much rather be curled up on the sofa anyway! Hehe! Take care my friend, and treat today is beef casserole. Lotsa love Harvey x x Big licks Katie and Norman x x x
Hi, well another really odd day not only did Mum loose her bark but Karla started being poorly. Mum then had to take her to the vets with a printout she did on the computer as she couldn’t bark at our vet, so with that, mouthing words & a lot of arm waving they managed to communicate. He did feel sorry for mum but Mum did the right thing as Karla was poorly and had a very high temperature. Mum has to go back this evening to get some more jabs and have Karla checked over again. Take care, leaving you a treat , Belle, Karla & Mum x x
Well thanks for the updates, Lisa. Evil? Who says so! I shall have a word with them. Now as it is Friday, I am coming around with a large bag of treats for you and all the gang. And the woof of course, from Carrick
Hi, Guess whats happened now…....... Mum has lost her bark!!! …. apparently her vet said she wasn’t to bark at all for at least 4 days, it’s sooo strange and of course human sis and Dad are taking advantage. Oh well it’s not all bad news she can still give plenty of tummy rubs & cuddles. Take care, leaving you a treat , Belle, Karla & Mum x x
Hi Lisa, how are you? I have just heard a joke....What do you call a man with a spade in his head?.................Doug! I thought that was funny, I think I am cracking up because of the problems accessing my kennel. I now get in by putting Sarika's name in fetch, clicking on a picture and following the links to her main one. Hey Ho. Anyway, allowing for my cracking up and the poor weather (it is summer after all), we are all well here. The girlies and sleeping beauty are such a joy and great fun and we feel blessed that they are part of our lives. I do have another problem though, I've even created a thread in the Lampost.....it is that age old male swimwear question...SWIMMING SHORTS or SPEEDOS? So, to canvas opinions, the girlies and dobes are today not only delivering a piece of fillet steak but also a pair of shorts and a pair of speedos. What do you think? Have fun x PS Have just heard another joke.....There are three types of people...those who can count, those who can't!..................C>>R>>A>>C>>K>>I>>N>>G>>>>>>>>U>>P!!
